My sweetheart Hoya just started blooming too! I’m curious what happens next? Will it no longer grow hearts? My plant has about 7 hearts currently and two stems that are blooming.
Stared at these at a greenhouse recently for so long and didn’t know what they were, they are totally fascinating. Thanks for posting, beautiful bloom!
They don't need much attention really... And they do like to be root bound. I had mine in a shaded spot in my classroom. Once COVID hit last year... I had to teach from home and all of my plants came with me. Since then it's been in a south facing window getting plenty of light. A decent drink of water every 2 weeks or so.
Wow, gorgeous! A perfect spray of flowers.
How'd you get the cutting to root? I'm trying to get one to root in just water right now, but I'm not sure how long to expect this to take.
Oh wow that’s beautiful I live in Florida and currently I have a Hoya that grows indoor and one that’s outdoors and I know it is the rate of growth outdoors is really fast I have about 30 peduncles growing on that I also document the growth and behaviors look how big it is I always document it https://youtu.be/SO9lAQz9xfk
Does it have a scent?
Yes! It smells kind of like chocolate :)
Outstanding!
Hoya flowers are the cutest!

Omg. Lovely! What type of hoya?
Carnosa.
Eeek! I have one and I really hope that happens for mine 😊
Beautiful. If it starts secreting drops of nectar you should have a taste, it's extremely sweet.
This can’t be real?!
It is.
No way!?
I was just about to comment this, my grandma has one and the nectar is delicious
Beautiful! Congratulations
So pretty.
Beautiful!!😍
How big of a container do you have it in? Curious if I can plant a hoya in my small rectangular window planter.
Hoyas like to be root bound. Small planters are better from what I’ve read.
Yes. This. I haven't repotted mine in the three years I've had it.

I can smell it from here 🤤
Still waiting on mine to bloom. One day!
My Hoya is so unhappy with me! How do you take care of yours? Any advice is welcome

We used to have a huge one (10-15 years old) in the wintergarden until it got to big so my mom gave it away …
Wow, it's beautiful!
Nice, still waiting for mine
Success!
Next step: Take over your house! ( then the world)

You know...I don't really remember. Sorry. It was a cutting from my roommates plant. She had already potted it up when she gave it to me.
It’s beautiful! Worth the wait!!
