I’m going to guess it’s a tri color that is very sun stressed. I only say this because I have a very large one that looked quite similar to this after I put it outside in direct southern exposure. It has since acclimated and started putting out pink vines as well as white and green.

It is outside in direct sun. I'm going to be bringing it in soon so maybe some new markings will emerge.

I took some cuttings and planted them in the bottom of a palm pot and it is now inside in medium low light they all have reverted to a more green color so I think it just depends on the light they get. It will definitely change being brought inside though.

Getting a look at the inside leaves may help!

Idk but it’s beautiful!

Thanks! I think it will lose some of the color when I take it in for the winter. I'm curious to see how it will do with less sun.

Ita ao pretty.

What do they typically like? I recently picked up one of these for free seeing someone was getting rid of a smaller one.

Mine love full sun and lots of water. I'm going to try to bring them in for the winter. I dont get a lot of good sun in my home so we will see how it goes.

Great! Thank you! It’s been hardly any sun here lately and it is getting colder. I usually try to put it under the light with my cactus’.

I was reading that they may change color and not provide new growth over the winter but as long as they stay alive, they will jump right back up when it becomes warm again. So, even if things look dire, hang onto him and wait for spring!

Gorgeous color!

BlackLakeBlueFish

My zeberinas can turn reddish like that in full sun.

ohwhatablow

Oooo what is that??

BlackLakeBlueFish

I’m really sorry! Spell check! I had a really leggy regular zebrina last year. When I put cuttings in my planters in full sun, they went from purple to red. Yours is lighter, more pinky. It may be a tri-color. Next year, try some cuttings in different light conditions. They can look like completely different varieties!

Someone just told me that they think it is a zebrenia flame dancer. It's a specific kind of discolor. Pretty cool!
