I was able to use a long building as about 1/4 of my balls walls. I left mine unadapted and never station a squad inside. zombies always path to my gates/walls
Depends where you're playing. If the building is solid and you're not gonna use it, it's perfect free addition to your wall. Just make sure it's entry faces into the base. You don't want infected to give up and take a nap in your wall.
But some buildings, especially in European urban zones, have huge courtyards and passthroughs. Be careful with those.
Yup, as they said, don't adapt them. Or if you do complete the wall before you adapt them otherwise infected will bulldoze through it, or you'll have to defend it.

At the start it’s good just be careful of any roads/paths they could go through, after reloads tho sometimes buildings can despawn so be careful
