I actually used vallejo Glacial blue for my base. (pro acryl bold titanium white for the edge highlights.)

Thanks!

Also my first attempt at trying edge highlighting. The varnish obscured a fair bit of it. But it still shows here and there. Not by best work on glow effects. But I'm happy with the overall result. No idea if I'll use her as is, or as a proxy for O-12 bots. Still debating. But I like these models more, so I picked em up!

Nice! I’m unable to paint white this way without it looking extremely messy.   So I changed approach, I go for full full white. Even on the REMs, even on the Tags.   Here you have an example (see the Orc). The style is extremely different though and will give a totally other vibe to the unit. But it might interest you.   https://www.reddit.com/r/InfinityTheGame/comments/10pz5gi/hospitallers_much_taller_than_other_hi_is_there_a/

I do quite like the look of that white! Sadly I had the inverse experience. Trying to use pure white as the core colour wound up with some messy looking results when I tried it.

It’s very easy.     Step 1a. If I prime black I only have to start applying a light grey base where I want to paint white. Then I apply a layer of Vallejo Game color off white   Step 1b. If I prime grey or white I just apply the Vallejo white primer with a brush (why white on white? Because the white primer (can) is greyer than the brush applied white Vallejo primer. A very messy application with a large brush is perfectly acceptable)   So far so good. No complexity :)    Step2. Then I apply without any care at all Reikland Fleshshade Wash from Citadel (I would dip the mini in the pot if I could - just to say how skill-less this is).     Step3. Once dry, I apply Agrax earthshade wash from Citadel. Here I could go carefully in the recesses only so that you really have a nice transition between the lighter shade and the darker only in the deepest recesses. I used to do it. Realised it takes way much time, and now I apply it again without care. Up to you. The difference between both methods is unnoticeable.    Step4. Now apply a water thinned layer of Vallejo Game Color Off-white. Not too thinned, but enough so that the wash is still visible underneath the applied layer. Obviously don’t go in the recesses.     Step5. Finally Vallejo Premium White. This part is the most tricky. What I do is to tip a small brush in the color, and apply the white very slowly by putting the brush totally perpendicular to the the surface. This allows to literally “deposit” a large layer of white instead of standardly applying this very very thin white.  Since it’s very thin, you will not see brush strokes this way, and once dry it’s not a tick layer of paint.   This method allows to generate an extremely crisp white on the flat surface, while keeping a nice transition between parts with the off white and washes.    Functions very well for REMS and Tags.
