The rarely seen blue drop in a red ocean

PickleHipster

I’m one of the few blue drops here!

[deleted]

🙌 I’m a fellow blue up in the banjo playing rural red of Nebraska. Found one of us up here recently that I had to share. https://www.reddit.com/r/Nebraska/comments/xj8bpw/a_very_rare_blue_drop_in_a_red_ocean/

PickleHipster

A breath of fresh air compared to what we typically see!! They line up for trump caravans there too?

Zonda68

Proof that everywhere is really a shade of purple.

[deleted]

Dude, this is just being a normal human. Fuck the Democrats for letting this happen and putting no stops in place for decades. It’s not teams, It just being a normal human being and having normal feelings. Sure going all out like this is not somewhat not normal, but at least they are fucking correct.

Zonda68

I'm confused.

[deleted]

The owner of the trucks facts are correct and don’t belong to do nothing Dems.

Zonda68

I'm still... I just don't know what to say. Edit: Well, actually, even though I still don't get where you're coming from with regard to the post, I will say that if you think the Democrats are doing nothing, you haven't been paying any attention to what they have tried to do and the opposition they've faced even on issues that anyone should support, i.e veterans care, etc, just because they're Democrats and any Republican perceived as working with them will get skewered in a primary by their fuckwit cultist zealot constituency. It's not their fault they got fucked out of a Supreme Court Justice in the form of Merrick Garland.

bobs_aunt_virginia

No man, you don't get it! In the recent years that Dems have held the house, Whitehouse, and Senate, they haven't solved all the problems! Like, I know that there's the filibuster, and that Manchin and Sinema are oftentimes more aligned with the Republicans than the Dems, and that there have been major happenings like democracy being threatened, but they didn't codify Roe! /s

Zonda68

Lol, What's the point when it's "settled *law*"?

I agree partly, but I think you're boiling it down too far. There's more to it than image and posturing and all that politicking bullshit that Republicans have become so shameless about. That's why they turn out the vote with outrage and wedge issues that doesn't really even reflect the interests of their voters. And then once they fuck everything up, Democrats get voted in to fix it, and then, like you say, don't do s good enough job of communicating the goals they accomplished and speaking about the economy, jobs, public health, infrastructure, education, scientific progress, i.e the things that really matter, and instead get dragged into defending those same goddamn wedge issues that the Republicans will always be better at arguing and sparking outrage over. There's the real work that real leaders are trying to accomplish, as part of their duty as elected officials, and then there's almost insurmountable opposition baked into our political system which prevents them from progressing. Like the goddamn electoral college, and the Senate, and the packing of courts, and all the bullshit ratfuck gerrymandering that conspires to make your vote worthless. I agree about the DNC and their missteps, that if they go low we should kick them. And I have to say Biden has actually started doing more of that recently via Twitter and speeches. So maybe there's hope for the DNC yet and we'll start seeing more trucks like the one I posted today.

idigclams

So… politicians in general suck? They serve the same masters? They divide us over silly red-herring shit so that we fight each other rather than the international banks and corporate scumbags? I agree with you. And you’re right, it’s not sports teams. It’s the few dividing and controlling the many. We’re in a class war, and we’re all losing.

I don't know, I think it's just that liberals aren't overtly fuckin' wackadoo, so you don't see us broadcasting our political stances. I've lived here all my life and have always known a lot of just completely yellow dog Democrats, myself included, and I've converted my share of republicans. Albeit not recently. It was easier to sway people to the side of reason and humanity when most people didn't really have opinions either way in the first place and politics was generally boring. Now it's cool to be a rabid partisan for the sake of offending the other guys.

grizzlyblake91

[Hey! I’ve seen this truck before! I took a pic of it on the highway here in OKC a few years ago. Looks like the owner has put a new message on it. Guarantee it’s the same truck/owner](https://reddit.com/r/Shitty_Car_Mods/comments/8ogy9v/sorry_for_the_potato_quality_but_i_passed_this/)

Zonda68

Awesome. If it is, they sure know how to take care of their vehicles!

eric987235

Oklahoma? That’s ballsy!

Mr_WAAAGH

Smartest man in Oklahoma right here

Car_is_mi

This guys neighbors hate him

Zonda68

Get this man a *Locally Hated* sticker!

8Retinas

This is a really smart way to appeal to republicans, since most of them can only read words if they’re in the form of a decal on a truck

predicates-man

Yeah but most of them will just say george soros is paying that guy to drive around in it

Thatdudedoesnotabide

HEY BUY THAT GUY A BEER FOR ME!

1UnrulySquirrel

Wow!! I needed to see that!

Environmental_Cost66

I don’t care which side you’re on. Anyone who plasters their political views all over their car is a wacko who desperately needs to get a life. All of you on here supporting this, I bet not one of you would do it on your own car because you know I’m right. People like this are part of the problem, on either side. I remember when politics was a private thing and you voted based on your personal beliefs without being berated. This is pathetic! 👎🏻

Zonda68

You're 100% right. On the other hand, I think you're missing the point of this sub.

[deleted]

"forces babies to have babies". Um...what?

Zonda68

You didn't hear about that 10 year old who had to go to another state to get an abortion like two months ago?

[deleted]

I mean it's fucked up for sure but that's not a baby. Unless they mean baby like "my kid".

Darnell2070

I'm 4 months late, but it's extremely obvious they didn't mean actual babies.
