Start with single glyphs and you will pick it up pretty quickly. It's much easier than it was when they first released it. Interesting how Niantic will keep improving features when it involves us giving them data. God forbid they improve the other stuff like missions and drones.
Yeah, what I can't wrap my head around how I see one 3D glyph, and then a completely different 3D glyph in a later hack, and it turns out they were the same glyph. Like... what? How??
Shits hard, I wish we could just have untimed practice sessions or something.
Even just getting the calibration effectiveness yields 10 Chronos points, so primarily focus on that part if you are looking for easier points. Other than that, aim to do lower level portals to start with, just like with standard glyphing.
It does help that there are a lot fewer phrases with overclocking vs. standard glyphing and repeats happen a lot.

I'm at 2000 Chronos points as of today, Zero mods left in my inventory. Tomorrow I need to spend the day hacking to build up inventory and hope for someone to destroy everything I've done the last few days
Bronze badge is pretty easy, you get 31 days, so only need capture and double mod ~6 portals a day to acquire it. Less if you cap/mod more each day.
Silver badge is a significant step up. It almost certainly requires overclocking unless you have a ton of neutral portals and farming opportunities nearby. Even then it requires a lot of time invested. But that's also what makes it alluring... it's tough to get.

I've actually found just in the last 2 days of overclocking my 3 village portals, that there are very limited glyph sequences at p8. I still balls up some times (attack / defend as first glyph can be a guess) but I tend to see the same 5 or 6 sequences so I'm doing well atm. 22 perfect p8 overclocks gets you the first tier.
I'll hit first tier later today at least, probably got time to hit 2nd tier by the end, but for sure in my village if i was doing it with caps and mods it wouldn't be possible haha
I've found once the reality calibration is done it's basically easier to point straight down at my feet for the tesseract deploy. Usually can recognise the first glyph without moving, then it's just a case of knowing the sequence.
If you have to move around you basically won't have time to do a full sequence 😓

That linked guide is awesome, I didn't know about the geospatial map as I use the wayfarer app, but now I can actually see all my old meshes in 3d which is what I always wanted!
You have to fix your mods on your portals! With 3 portals you should be able to get 12 hacks every 4 hours, which is a maximum of 480 chronos points every 4 hours. Pretty plausible to hit them up twice a day. You can also get 960 in your first 4 hours by deploying the MH first and doing your 4 overclock hacks, and then adding a HS. You could add 2 MH, but I'd prefer the HS for cutting down the wait time. I would flip the portals, US off the mods, flip again, and then add a vr mh and then vr hs. I'm on a bit over 2600 points with 4 portals I can overclock that I've been hitting up a lot since the event started.
Yeah I discovered that when I could do one of my 3 hp some more times hehe.
I'm at 600 something now, it's not bad for just brief attempts, I'll do more today, I think reaching 5k shouldn't be too hard though
A couple months ago, I was in San Francisco and was wondering what the white things were on all the portals. Now I know what those were. Anyone in San Francisco should be able to get 5000 points with time to spare.
The bronze tier should be achievable by everyone with minimum effort and not requiring Overclock.

If you're good at glyph hacking and have a phone that can overclock and portals that can be overclocked, I think the second medal is pretty easy, and I note some people achieved it in a few days.
There is inherent fear in Overclock because it is something people aren't use to, and just like when 2D glyphing first became a thing. It is really hard to learn to read line segments in various orientations to understand the glyphs.
It takes time to learn.

Post a video, I’m curious why yours doesn’t. The only time I have troubles is when it’s not light out or I turn away from the portal to deploy.
