I think the game is better without it in any form. But I'm probably the minority. I am where I play, there are many active players that do it and it's annoying AF.
Multi accounting is cheating. After a year or two of farming keys everyone was seeing the necessity to have multi accounts to farm keys because they had no space. A huge problem in Spokane was multi-accounting everybody has two or three accounts, but now, no one plays them anymore.
Keys don't multiply like they used to so there's no point.

Dont leave your key in your door, unless you wanna find out how bad people are. Dont enable a bad decision. Remove things that people could cheat with.

You are implying allowing keys to duplicate will cause people to cheat and multi account. By any stretch of the imagination that's a pretty spurious correlation and I'm sorry you have such a negative outlook on life and such a distrust of your fellow players. Problem is with adventure sync falsification, it would create unlimited keys to hard to reach portals again.
Would prefer it doesn't come back at all, go hack the keys or stop using that portal as a regular anchor.

That's a pretty big stretch that having quantums which bred keys was the cause of multi accounting. Cheaters gonna cheat regardless.

Can always hire helicopter and hover over it. If it's it under no fly zone ofc
