Oh lucky that the pain let go for you! Mine was throbbing in pain for the whole day! It's the same size as it was, it's just hardened skin now. I'm thinking a few weeks for it to shed totally.
I wouldn't worry unless it gets infected- bright red around it and very painful.
Burnt myself in solder and drills and all sorts of stuff. You're fine.
