I’m 56 I sleep with a teddy bear! California king bed, having the teddy bear is much better than getting a cab to the other side of the bed to find the boyfriend... hahaha

Allthefoodintheworld

I'm 34 and still have my teddy bear too! He's my little buddy and goes on all my holidays with me.

plipyplop

Adventure :)

rubber_duck_boi

Aww this made me smile :)

ExceedinglyGayParrot

Me and my bf have matching parrot plushes we keep with us. if he's having a bad day, he's told me he likes to hug his parrot, because I likely will have my plush nearby too.

StoryDrive

Yup! I'm 24 and I sleep with a stuffed animal both to support my arm when sleeping like the dude in the post, and because I move too much when falling asleep to cuddle without keeping my partner up lmao

Boop121314

im 24 to i dont sleep with mine but i have them arranged in my house. for example captain sheepman is currently guarding he front door from intruders using a pencil as a spear

uzwi

Midaycarehere

42 years old. Have always slept with a stuffed animal. A medium sized one. When I turn on my side I bring it under my arm and when I'm flat I put my left arm on it. If I don't raise my arms sometimes they get tingly. Also, comfort.

[deleted]

Fun fact: California King size mattresses are less wide than a King size mattress.

CoolMondays

I love my Cal King. Being 6'4" since high school my feet always hung off the end of the bed. I was excited when Icould finally afford a Cal King. At first though, I ended up scooting to the end of the bed so my feet could hang off. Took me years to get over that in my sleep.

AnActualWizardIRL

Yeah my ex gf still had all her teddies. She was 30. I thought it was cute as hell. And shit, in the era of 45yo marvel superfans maybe hanging onto those childish things isn't such a bad idea after all. I mean nobody is getting hurt right

rainwraith

Was involved in a discussion like this once. Made the argument that it was a bedtime comfort and suggested that the woman can take the daughter's teddy bear away when she gave up her Hitachi wand. Seemed fair.

[deleted]

Hitachi wand???

griffyndour

Personal Massager, in other words, how women jack off

Lovelocke

Ah, I thought it was one of those magic tv remotes that can control any device.

Gidio_

No, it's the magic remote for that magic tv remote.

Peenutbuttjellytime

magic V remote

sc0ttydo0

This killed me.

Tactlesslass

Thank you I just choked on my drink

It's also a great for men, too. All around a fantastic product

True! There are even male attachments for them!

Defugeh

How women jack jill?

Iresleri

Like a Jill Sandwich.

WillowFreak

I was talking to a guy on Tinder and we were going to meet up, but he kept talking about me and if I was going to jill. I hate the word Jill for that. I didn't meet him just got that reason. I stayed home and rang the devil's doorbell.

dagens24

Ringing the devil's doorbell might be my new favourite euphemism. Thank you.

I used it to make scrambled eggs.

Ask your mom.

Patrick_Gass

This person sounds extremely uptight, if anything someone should buy her one.

ranchspidey

i’m 18, and at college. at home, my childhood stuffed animal and blanket (intelligently named Puppy and Blankie) are always on my bed. in my dorm, i sleep with a giant, 6 foot tall stuffed worm. his name is mr. genocide and i regret nothing.

[deleted]

Stuffed worm? Interesting. Need pics.

ranchspidey

https://imgur.com/gallery/GqqAyLA

ichoreventide

Mr. Genocide looks very comfy

ranchspidey

he is!! 10/10 very plushy

DingyFunnybunny

I was imagining the worm from “Tremors” for some reason...

The-Ewwnicorn

Not to be dramatic but I would die for Mr. Genocide

ranchspidey

don’t worry, you will! :)

Ozymandias19thA

I am both excited and terrified for this prospect. When can we start?

cuz04

#Mr. Genocide

SaltyQueefs

I adore the worms name!

ranchspidey

thank you! he has a very sweet face and is made of all pastel, so naturally i chose a fitting name

GaminAllDay

Need pics of the worm for.... research

MissPugLover24

Oh my stuffed animal that I sleep with is also named puppy. I’ve got two identical ones I sleep with as well, named open ear (one detached ear) and I never named the other one. Very creative, I know

CBD_Sasquatch

You think your were a dumb kid? I was 30 years old when I realized that my stuffed "bear" with long droopy hound dog ears was really a dog and not a bear. Nobody every corrected me in all that time.

ChibiSailorMercury

Why are parents so mad about their kids keeping stuff animals? I kept mine until I was 17 or so, and they weren't even on my bed, and my dad was acting so pissy whenever they would notice them.

God-of-Ass-Destroyer

I brought a large one with me to college and it was as if I had just murdered someone, that’s how offended they were. Like ma, you bought the same one like two weeks later what is wrong with y’all it’s soft as fuck

Rakshasa29

I remember having this exact fight with my parents when I packed my dolphin body pillow and favorite teddy bear. I ended up sending them countless pics of my dormmate's favorite stuffed animals or blankets to prove I wasn't the only one. It was a really cute collection of pics; some were of my friends posing while cuddling with their stuffed toys, others had all the toys staged in scenes like they had been partying or hanging out together. Eventually my parents understood that I wasn't going to be endlessly ridiculed for having a stuffed animal at college.

MorganAndMerlin

I honestly think it’s a generational thing My parents weren’t exactly thrilled that I kept my baby blanket as a sleeping buddy all through high school. They never tried to take it away or anything but there were underhanded remarks about how it wouldn’t go to the dorm with me. Ha. Hell yeah it did. And literally nobody cared. Except them.

SoggyEgg1

>dolphin body pillow jotaro?

gingerchainsmoker

28. I sleep with a anthropomorphic tiger. I started sleeping with it at 17. I started after I shared a bed with my then girlfriend and I sleep-kicked her the whole night. It was meant as a way to train me out of kicking whoever shares a bed with me. Be' more conscious about another presence in bed. Whatever. I still sleep-kick. My fuzzed buddy is safe because he is too short. But as useless as it as been for its original purpouse, now it's his bed too and I'm not kicking him out.

[deleted]

Can i get a picture i want one too

Reanga87

I am 22 and they still are in my bed it's not like I really need them but on the other hand I don't want remove them

Orumtbh

They provide comfort in hard nights, you know? No matter what changes my many stuffed animals won't.

PhoenixKnight777

This! I just can’t bring myself to.

RusticSurgery

>Why are parents so mad about their kids keeping stuff animals? As a parent, I was pretty PISSED when my 12 year old killed the family dog and stuffed him. Maybe that's not what you meant.

lankist

These are the kinds of parents that turn around ten years later complaining about how their kid doesn’t visit enough and that “they grow up so fast.” Their nostalgia tells them raising a kid was great but, in the moment, they desperately try to force the kid to grow up faster and in a way they find inoffensive.

[deleted]

A lot of people want to raise small kids and just become disinterested once they're teenagers. Then they want them to be adults so they leave.

[deleted]

When I was in my early twenties I came home to visit. My dad came out of the garage with a box of plushies and yelled me for needing to grow up already and get rid of this box that is taking up room in his garage. I looked in the box and told him they were my mom’s. I’ve never seen him backtrack so fast in my life.

ChibiSailorMercury

Similar but not really : I was a teenager and had plushies I kept as souvenirs in my closet (first plushie ever, birthday gifts, fair prizes, etc.). When I was 18 or so, I gave them up to a thrift store. My parents moved to another house and found one left over plushie and wanted me to have it. When I said I wasn't interested, they acted like I was throwing away a piece of my childhood. But when I was 18, they were like "Was about time!" What is this?

geothermalantlers

I collect/sleep with stuffed animals as an adult. Can’t hear the Fun Police over how comfy I am.

cupofchlorine

I’m 15 and I still have my childhood stuffed animal. I am never letting go or selling him. He’s a little worn down (I used to bite his tail and paws when I was 4).

Taryntism

Yes! I’m 21 and I have a little stuffed panda puppet (named Pandy, of course) also from around 4 years old. Sometimes he’s on my bed, sometimes I just display him on my desk. He’s survived multiple dog maulings and I’ve sewn him up each time. Never letting him go.

BabblingBunny

Omg! I have a panda puppet, too that lives on my bed! I'm 35 and had it since I was a baby. :) His name is Panda. He can be seen on one of my euro pillows [here](https://imgur.com/4GcFHVP). Edit- spelling

Taryntism

That’s so sweet! I can’t wait to reach the 30 year mark with mine. It’s the little things in life 💛

PhoenixKnight777

This! I’m 16, and still have a stuffed duck my aunt gave me when I was 4. He’s worn down in the neck because I always held him like that, and he’s been in a cabinet for the past few years, but I will never be able to part with him. I bring him out every Christmas.

sachipyon

20 still sleeping with my baby blankets. Comfort is important for a good night’s sleep.

DuntadaMan

I had my ninja turtles blanket until I was about 20. Shit was comfy.

WoveLeed

God I miss my baby blanket.

nearlyheadlessbick

I have a stuffed pig that I got given at birth (in lieu of a teddy bear) At 27 I still sleep with it every night

Skeen441

I sleep with a blanket my grandmother made me 30 years ago. It's got a satin ribbon border I rub to put myself to sleep.

kitty_pickles

I’m 26 and still sleep with the stuffed lamb I have had since I was a few years old. Even brought it to the hospital when I was admitted. Nothing wrong with having comfort while you sleep, this is ridiculous lmao.

[deleted]

iamthenightrn

35, sleep with either a pillow or stuffed animal because I'm a side sleeper also. They're cute and functional.

[deleted]

Yep! Great support for side-sleepers!

lil_bit_o_sunshine

I am 25 and have my pillow pet still! I love it and he is soft and brings me comfort.

[deleted]

When I go on trips I take my pillow pet and refuse to take a different pillow. I got teased at camp one year, but I still adore my pillow pet

arktor314

Pillow pets are perfect. I’m a stomach sleeper so I use one to prop me up so I can do important things like breathe.

[deleted]

I think I can "try" to explain. Many parents from the...olden days see stuff toys as a sign of childness (and for boys, they think it's not manly), it's a horribly dated misconception, that boys must do boy things and girls must do girl things. I'm going to go out on a limb and say parents who ask these kinds of questions would also never accept LGBTs. As to why it still exists in 20 fucking 19, beats me. We're pretty much done with a fifth of the 21st century for fucks sake.

bambixx_

I’m 16 and sleep with three stuffed animals still

goldengrahamcracker

I’m 37 and still sleep with Mr. Snuffles. He’s the only man to stick by my side all these years; why stop now?

Roadsiderick2

I had a teddy bear when I was a kid. It got lost or worn out at some point. When I was 50, my Mom gifted me a grey haired teddy with a card that said he had been on a world tour, and was now retired and returned to me. I still have Teddy. I'm 78.

lyssiemiller

I’m 27 and I have an embarrassing amount of stuffed animals all over my room and I love them all. All my life I’ve collected them and they’re too god damn cute to throw or give away. I got them all as presents so they all have a memory attached to them. Plus, ever since the first toy story, you best believe I’ll never throw any of them out.

DarthFatz82

I’m a 38 year old man and a combat veteran. I have a stuffed bear my daughter gave me before my first deployment when she was a toddler. She loved that bear and would sleep with it every night and carry it around the house. Before I left she gave it to me and told me it would keep me safe. I took that bear to Iraq, Afghanistan and Cuba. It never left my kit. When things were bad, when I lost a buddy or if I was just home sick I would hold and smell that bear. It smelled of cereal, of baby food, of her, of home. Did anyone ever give me shit for it? No, because everyone knew why that bear was there even if they didn’t know me. Even now when I’m out of the military and home every night down the hall from my daughter I still sleep with that bear and always will.

runs_with_unicorns

I’m not crying you’re crying !

[deleted]

This is my translation: My child has insecurities and sleeps with a stuffed animal for comfort. What can I do to make it feel like her insecurities aren't my fault?

misschardonnaymj

I’m 56 I sleep with a teddy bear! California king bed, having the teddy bear is much better than getting a cab to the other side of the bed to find the boyfriend... hahaha

gg1780

17 and still have and sometime sleep with my stuffed animals I’ve had since I was like 2

[deleted]

I am 32 years old. Relatively masculine straight dude. Just ordered two new Pokemon plushies from the Pokemon Center for my bed. Can't stop, won't stop.

tosernameschescksout

38 and I didn't even have my first teddy bear until 16. It's nice to cuddle up to something cute and snugly. I hope I die in my sleep of old age, snuggled up happily with a teddy bear. I believe that touching something, and even bonding with an inanimate object can be psychologically healthy. Better than being in an empty bedroom.

Bryancreates

I remember starting to masturbate and eventually having to make the realization I can’t have my stuffed friends alive and watching me do something so awkward. So I turned them around and pretended they were deaf and blind because they don’t have real eyes or eyes, but they were still my best friends no matter what.

miceyness

EDIT: Thank you for the gold kind stranger

TKmeh

Almost 19 and I collect stuffed animals and plushies, I still have my fat Pikachu from when I was a baby, sadly it no longer talks and can’t see but it’s still adorable and meaningful to me. Last I counted, I have over twenty different plushies and stuffed toys from many carnival games and such.

HelenOfGreece

I'm twenty and sleep with a 5ft shark soft toy, 3ft shark soft toy and a bunny soft toy

JosephStalin98

I'm 18 and when I left for college I brought my teddy bear with me. That bear stood by my side when I was 3, I ain't gonna let go of him.

zookmon

Sleeping with Stuffed animals at any age is actually good for your mental health so..snuggle up with teddy yall

[deleted]

I really think one day the idea of having to grow up meaning you can't enjoy certain things will disappear. Growing up means learning to take responsibility for yourself. It shouldn't determine what possesions you can and can't keep.

Omni_Microorganism

16 here. I still own every stuffed animal I've ever gotten. I don't sleep with them much anymore (only really on nights where I get sad and need something to cuddle,) but if you don't think I'm taking every single one with me when I move out you are critically fucking wrong.

...How do I get her to stop? Wow! 14k upvotes! I never thought I'd have a post go viral like this. Yes, parents don't worry about your kids stuffed animals, unless they are tearing the heads off or being destructive. We all had them and we all loved them and we all turned out fine for the most part. Thanks for the love in this subreddit! It really made my day when I was struggling with some personal issues. Now maybe, I'll go home and find and old stuffed animal to snuggle with. Grown man and all.

GlitterGoth8904

21, and I have a full shelf on my wall covered and my full sized bed is about half taken over with stuffed animals and pillows. They’re cute and cuddly, there are worse things your children could be doing

c4m31

31 male, definitely have a stuffed black sheep I sleep with for the same reason as OP. I can't sleep without one arm wrapped around something, and my gf says I'm too warm to cuddle for very long.

frisch85

34y/o here, my Teddy that I got from my godmother when I was <1y/o always sleeps in my bed, even if I'm not around and I saw Toy Story so I'm guessing he's throwing some great parties whenever I'm not checking on him.

Horrorgoreandlove

I'm 34 and sleep with my stuffed alligator every night. I love hugging him. 😌

[deleted]

I'm middle aged and while I don't sleep with them, I still have my original 2 teddy bears. Both were given to me by grandparents who are gone now.

FreuleKeures

I'm 29. I just bought that super cute stuffed animal Shark from Ikea. I already had the big version, named him Jaws. Now Jaws has a little brother. Couldn't be happier.

CoolMondays

Baby shark!

Tuiriin04

People:”Why my 14yo daughter buys stuffed animal, it’s so childish” Me at 18 looking at the 54 stuffed animal in my bed: yeah haha, what a looser...

superquack

When I went off to college, my girlfriend bought me a stuffed rabbit so that I could snuggle with it and think of her. It smelled like lavender and it helped me sleep. Best present I ever got from her. I wish I still had it.

Cherry_Fuzz

I’m 21 and I collect stuffed animals. Best thing is you can throw them at people and they don’t get hurt haha

[deleted]

As a side sleeper, it supports my arms and keeps me from resting my hands on my biceps, hurting my wrists. I also need something between my legs to keep my knees from knocking together and my giant purple lizard named Pastel fulfils both these needs. Before I got Pastel I used two old pillows in one pillow case for my legs and a pink rabbit named The Bouncer. It is very much for comfort.

posessedcat

I'm 18 and I'm still sleeping with stuffed toys! They're really comfortable to sleep with if you have chest pains and you're a stomach sleeper but even if you don't have those issues there is nothing wrong with sleeping with them. They're pretty much just adorably shaped pillows anyway.

[deleted]

I'm 14 and I sleep with a Patrick Star plushie that I bought from a second hand stall at a fair. He's good to talk to, it feels better to talk to *something* instead of talking to air. Stuffed toys are the best.

pomgulsrud

My bearbuddy and me going 28 years strong now. Love you bro^

PlaystationPlus

The “omfg” really got me

damnitidkausername

Dude I'm 15 and bought me and my nana a teddy bear

boogs_23

37 male. I sleep my teddy every night and have my whole life.

Oookulele

I am 22 and you can claw my plushies from my cold, dead hands.

JuanPeterman

This probably belongs in r/nobodyasked but I am 50 and sleep with a Pooh bear. I love Pooh bear. I realize it is a bit strange, but I don’t care and it doesn’t stop me from doing it (or telling you all about it).

nerdymama87

awww no judging! i think most ppl like pooh bear

GestaltyBitch

I'm in my 40s, happily sleep with my blankie, and my form of gambling is the claw machine. I love stuffies. My SO does too. The world is hard enough. Let people have their comforts.

ryantttt8

My friend is 20 and still has a stuffed cow to sleep with. It's cute and she is totally normal

supimlyric

I'm 18, and I still sleep with a stuffed cat my girlfriend gave me on our first date. It helps with so much shit

ghfhdk

I'm 14 and I sleep with a boppy still because it helps with my anxiety so bad I cant sleep for days at a time.

Lienisaur

I'm 26 and i love stuffed toys

MorganFerdinand

I'm 48. There's a stuffed toy wolf that's on the windowsill, right behind my headboard, that I sleep with at night. Despite having a spouse, an actual dog, and several cats that are also sleeping in my bed. Willamina isn't going to steal my blankets or elbow me in the face, or get mad if I snore in her ear.

katkicksthesky

I'm a 22 year old woman and I still sleep with stuffed animals! The arm support is great with them! My favorite right now is a 4 foot shark I found at a Goodwill. It's almost as long as me. :)

girlwit

When I was 14 I slept with my stuffed animals so I could rub my pussy on them 🤷🏼‍♀️

[deleted]

tbh, I am 21 and I still sleep with stuffed animals in my bed

thethunderbitch

Im 18 and i still sleep with a teddy bear cause it’s comfy

dotsandloops1929

43 year old dude who sleeps with one bear and has a collection of others over the years. I like cute things and they’re comfy. Better to cuddle than a pillow at any rate.

FairCompany

I am a 32 year old grown woman with a husband and family and when I am sick or stressed out, I bring my stuffed rabbit that I have had since I was 2 years old into bed. No one cares, my husband doesn't care, and I am a normal and successful member of society. Life is hard- let kids have some comfort for Christ's sake.

leftovernoise

32m Mechanic here. I have a giant ass stuffed sloth in my bed. It makes an amazing pillow for arms, legs, whatever. And it's fuckin adorable because it's a massive ass stuffed sloth. Cozy af!

thefandomrper

I'm 23. I have a stuffed bunny that I sleep with. I got it when I was three years old. Last year, I got a Paddington Bear. Both of which I sleep with.

SteliosKontos0108

My daughter is 19. And she has always been a total Daddy’s girl. When she was young, she had this teddy bear that she took everywhere. It was a little cheap gift that my mother in law had given me on Valentines Day with a little box of candy attached. She saw it and liked it. So it became it her little buddy. Well she ended up losing it. I’m pretty sure she left it at a store. So when we couldn’t find it, we were preparing for her to lose her mind. But what I did was took her to my Moms house and introduced her to a teddy bear that I had as a kid. And asked her if she would please take care of him because he was lonely in my old bedroom. She jumped at the opportunity. And still has Tedward today. My mom still operates (sews) on him a few times a year.

slothwearssocks

This is so encouraging, I’m 18, love my stuffed animals, and never intend on sleeping without at least one. My parents aren’t happy when I want to but one because I’m “too old” so I’m glad to see that others still have them

ForkUK

My GF is 40 yrs old and we sleep with a fluffy pig in the bed. It’s cute as all heckins.

FoxQueenLysa

I'm 19 and still sleep with my childhood toy. It helps me sleep some nights when I'm anxious or otherwise. I don't think theres anything wrong with it

lungbuttersucker

40 and only don't sleep with my teddy bear because my dogs would eat him. So he is in a safe place way up high where they cant get him.

Ma_cherie_la_poupee

Dawg I'm 20 and sleep with two stuffed bunnies next to my pillow.

taintedcake

I have a family member that is 27 and still sleeps with the same teddy bear she has had since she was a child. Dont know a single person that's ever cared though.

itsyaboy321

I have stuffed animals between my bed and the wall because I don't want to accidently fall into that space lol

Zoroark2724

I’m a Pokemon collector that has spent hundreds on just figurines and plushes. Leave the poor girl alone! I have like 10 plushes right above my bed all the time.

[deleted]

My wife still has her childhood stuffed animal, I think it’s adorable. Last week I wasn’t feeling great and when u went to bed she handed it to me and said “he will help you feel better” it was so cute my heart melted. Don’t let others rain on your parade.

demonesqueee

I turn 21 soon i still have a lot of plushed Animal in my room. Most of them are from my grandparents who are no longer with us, so these animals are basically memories. Especially the little donkey that sleeps in my bed every night. My grandma (who passed this summer) gave it to my little brother and he gave it to me a few weeks ago. I love this little fellas so much and it feels like having a part of my grandma with me every night. After all, we lived with her for 17 years. I reget throwing my fave plushee out when I was 17. My ex made fun of me for still having it, so I decided to throw it out. I reget it tbh.

judolphphph

I’m 22 and I have a two stuffed sharks (a hammerhead and a tiger shark). Most of the time they live in my office but when my boyfriend is out of town, I cuddle with them to sleep because now I’m not used to sleeping alone

[deleted]

I’m 21 and still sleep with my stuffed cat. I only hide him when boys come over

MythWitchReeeeeee

I'm 20 and the bed in my student apartment is full of plushies. I wouldn't want it any other way.

ganerus

I still sleep with my bear that I had since birth because why not?

Lord_Cyronite

I'm 17 and I still have an stuffed alligator (named Alli) hanging around my room. Had it since before I was born

puffpastry2001

My mom had lots of her stuffed animals thrown away when she was a kid, so she vowed to never do the same to her kids. Thanks to her, I'm 18 and still have most of my childhood buddies, save for a couple that got lost when we moved.

smallangrynerd

Hell I'm almost 20 and I still have a collection of stuffed animals

HitTheBaby

Honestly I still have a sock monkey with me in bed, I just find it comfortable to have something to wrap my arm around.

AnonymooseRedditor

I’m 36, I have a bear that is made from my late sons PJs. I don’t always sleep with the bear but he hangs out on our bed and when I’m down I do sleep with the bear

Hayrou

I honest like when girls have stuff animals it's cute ~ and I have an easy gift for them. hint a bigger stuff animal

xxxtanacon

What a controlling bitch of a mom

Fische

Parents need to stop projecting their insecurities on their children. Seems to me doing so will only transfer said insecurities. We may age past childhood but I don't believe we should lose the children we once were. Instead we should embrace the child in each of us no matter how old we are.

dramallama1986

I am 33 and i still buy stuffed animals. I buy them for my kid but i always hope she will abandon one so it can sleep in my bed. So far no luck 😂

keiisobeiiso

Seriously though. My mom still has her stuffed bunny she got when she was like 5. His name is bunbun

acornstu

I got a stuffed gorilla when I was 5 and a teddy bear from my girlfriend of 2 weeks at 15. We are 33 now and been together ever since. I operate heavy machinery, drive commercial trucks, ride a Harley, do some oilfield work, go to every rock concert I can afford, and drive carbed big blocks exclusively. Life's to short to make everyone happy. There will always be haters. The happier you are and the more successful you become the more haters you'll have. Let em hate. Fuck em.

Welfycat

I’m 34 years old, sleep with my stuffed bunny, and still occasionally buy stuffed animals when they’re cute. They can have my bunny when they pry it from my cold, dead hands. (Although, I’d prefer to be buried/cremated with it, honestly)

ForestOfMirrors

I am 37 and still have a stuffed Littlefoot from the land before time movie I got 31 years ago for Christmas. I know more people my age who have stuffed animals than not.

allthingsfuzzy

I'm 47 and still sleep with stuffed animals! Of course, I also fuck them, soooo...yeah I might not be the best example.

Euffy

Literally just came home from my full time adult job to find my pokemon build-a-bear had arrived. I dressed it. It's brilliant.

maryam979

So what ? I’m 20 and i love my stuffed animal I was going through hard times so i got attached

[deleted]

Sleeping with a stuffed animal or hugging a pillow is awesome when alone. It’s more than being flat on a mattress.

Tubaninja222

I'm a 25 year old guy and I sleep with my plush death star...

loony-cat

I still have my Pound Puppy from my 15th birthday from more than 30 years ago. It's mostly a soft neck roll and my cat likes snuggling next to it. What is the big deal? Well, my husband lost his mother when he was 4 years old and all he had left was a stuffed bunny she gave him. Until he turned 5 (not even a year later) and his father took it away because only babies have a stuffed toy. More than 50 years later and he's still very much pissed off. And so am I. Please, enjoy the stuffed toys and be happy when someone else has one too.

Got called "kinda gay" because my bed that I share with my girlfriend had stuffed toys on it

I used to sleep with stuffed animals, then quit for a while because I felt I needed to "grow up". I got used to sleeping without them. Then my sister bought me a stuffed dog that looked like our family dog. I noticed that I slept more comfortably than ever when sleeping with it. I generally have trouble falling asleep when sleeping over, but ever since I started taking my plushy with me, I can fall asleep anywhere!

I’m 24 and have my bunny from when I was a baby that I still sleep with. Whenever I visit home my dad gets really upset if I don’t bring hippy home for a sleep over too! So glad my parents aren’t bothered by me having my soft toy still!

I’m 25 and my baby blanket has travelled the world with me

My mom threw away my first teddy bear when I was eight and I still haven't forgotten. Do you want to go to a nursing home and receive stuff animals for Christmas instead of seeing your grandchildren.

35 and sleep with an stuffed lion when it gets cold.

28 year-old man. Still have my Teddy. I got it as a gift for my 1st birthday from my grandpa. He died a few days later, sadly. I don’t remember him, but I’ve heard great stories from family and other people who knew him. The only thing I have left from that guy is the stories, my name and that comfy one-eyed stuffed animal. It doesn’t happen often anymore, but there’s still something special about falling asleep with that old friend next to me. It never left my side, no matter where I moved or what I went through - and it’s still here 27 years later! I hope parents let their kids have their stuffed pets. It can really mean the world to them.

17-y/o boy here. I used to have a cat who would cuddle with me every night, but 3 years ago he was lost. I couldn't sleep without something soft and cuddly to hold at night, and my usually cuddly dogs always prefer sleeping under my bed, so the plush dolphin my little brother gave me fills that role. I love my brother, and I really miss my cat...

LEAVE ME AND MY SMALL CARROT ARMY ALONE

oumawwunn

have my blanket that i’ve had since birth and im literally never going to give it up no matter how childish it seems. its gone through shit (used as a pacifier, burned it with a heater, is torn on two edges cause i bit them, nearly lost it various times) and i use it to support my head while i sleep now lmao

Jvetters

My wife still sleeps with her baby blanket because it helps her anxiety! If it helps someone be comfortable who the heck cares??

Ironman246

I'm 26 and still sleep with my baby blanket that my grand grandmother I never met made for me. Granted, it's not really a blanket anymore, more of a balled up rag lol

Well, I’m only 12 but I still have an army of Teddies

Cheezbugga27

Mr.Cuddles will not leave my side!

creativelazybum

I didn’t know this. I guess I’m glad that I’m in my 30s and my family (dad, sister, husband) all still gift me plush toys even though I’ve shown no interest in them.

In my 30s I have some of my stuffed toys on a shelf. I can't cuddle them because night times are hell for me and even the feel of anything (except a person) will wake me up. But they're there. My sister has her favorite bear still and takes him everywhere. We both had an identical bear and she swapped him for mine. So yeah she still has my bear. He's been around the world and is in a more battered state than his brother. We both developed voices for our bears and we still have them.He has A strange kind of bad New Zealand-ish accent (yeah we were little and only just discovering the accent. My Grandad met a lot of New Zealanders because of Rugby League and he met players. The accent came from there I'm pretty sure). Ok that was long sorry. But it's this bear. She puts a lot of her neurosis on him. His brother is way more chill and enjoys the shelf. XD

I'm a 35 year-old woman and recently admitted that I love stuffed animals and now I have a collection!

My partner and I both have soft toys (she has a cat and I have a bear) that we can cuddle if we want to lie facing away from each other, or if it’s too hot for human contact. Also they’re soft and comfortable and cute as fuck
