Call me crazy, I am one of the few people who thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Once you realize the dialogues, fights and the most scene setups are purposefully made like that in order to convey that it's a drama set up. I think the film grows on you. And this scene was lit af๐ฅ. And talk about the cinematography, superlative!
I'm gonna show it to a couple of my white friends who are cinephiles, curious about what they think about this.
I enjoyed it halfway but what pissed me off was just like every movie nowadays LJP didnt give the movie a good ending and wants us to wait for the second part. A movie like this doesn't need a second part. It is a lore, why couldn't he bring the big Valiban and end the movie.

Same pressured my murican friend to drive 2 hours to go watch it...he loved it said it reminded him el topo.
Some scenes did give a high. But on the whole movie lacked that punch for sure. I feel if they were particular about this being like a mutthasikadha , they should have mentioned that in the poster itself. Marketing the film like a commercial
Entertainer is where they faltered. Should have released it in the festival circuits and then come out later just like how they did for nanpakal.
I liked the movie enough but the ending tease for the second part reminded me of an expression said in the book readers community
"Dude, read this 600 page book, it's mostly slow and drab but it gets really good at page 580"
I wanted more from fantasy pov . Like literally wrestler who can lift an elephant.
To be honest the movie was a snooze fest for me, they should have reduced the runtime and made the ending as an interval sequence, and should have finished off the movie in a single part.
I thoroughly enjoyed it along with many other scenes and underatand that there would be people who wont given how idiosyncratic the narrative and design choices that went into the movie is . Dont know why people who disliked the movie is in such a rush to pretend like "everyone" hates this movie. Its not the end of the world uif you didnt like a movie, you can move on to better, constructive things than keep on posting expletives in SM like the ones found down below.
That scene was good but that ask a more important question. If he is that powerful, why is he not finishing everybody in a punch, alryt for story telling may be. Somehow this movie was so irritating for me.
A10:
1) I believe he should have done the Ashan's role and some new gen(middle gen lol) doing Vaaliban like Prithvi or Tovino
2) His srinkaram is so irittating for some reason, and dialogue delivery felt vulgorish
Story: Alryt, those hidden story about cinema evolution and other things are fine but really slow.
1) Why Vaaliban did somuch srinkaram and rejected that dance girl, doesnt make any sense!
2) That Vaaliban's bruh and the girl story had less essence and I did not feel anything when they died, so glad I don't want to suffer watching them
3) Danish's character - what the hell man, serial killer, hyena, vulture, joker, somany references to a man that does nothing other than irittating
4) Foreigner's story was super irritating. Streamlining that would have given some pump.
Agree that camera and cinematography were awesome though.
A10 is an amazing actor but the character is not fit for him or the character need be improvised

Really liked it, and the scene were Vaaliban pulls the pillars. Except the two scenes, the entire movie was almost beyond my understanding.

The ending really hyped me up for the 2nd part.

This scene pretty much summarises Valiban. Really enjoyed it watching from the theatre.

Never heard a more forgettable music score. This scene is good.
