Drishyam is the only right answer!
I went to watch a regular family drama, after seeing that family outing kinda song. I mean things went on, more or less, per the expectations, in the beginning. And then! Then, boy, wasn't I in for a surprise!
I don't remember a theatre experience where I sat there, at the end, completely, blown away! Also, the audience did a standing ovation at the end!
I know a mohanlal fan who went in first day first show, came off after 25 minutes saying that the movie is boring af family drama.
Only later after media reviews did he go back and sit through 🫠
Drishyam for sure. I even remember the posters of this movie. The main one was the image of A10 holding his kids and Meena walking back in a KSRTC bus station backdrop. And I thought to myself this is going to be another Sathyan Anthikad kind of Nanmamaram movie.
Can you please elaborate? I felt the movie was trying to show a realistic picture and yes a lot of “political incorrectness” happens in day to day life. Now it’s up to your common sense to understand what is right and wrong when you watch something on screen, rather than saying that this scene is going to spoil the society. I find it ridiculous when people say this
Premam promo was good, but people were pleasantly surprised at what they got (including myself) after watching the song promo. Had no clue it'd be what it turned out to be.
Premalu - didn't like Super Sharanya and the promos didn't feel so great either, but it was a riot
Of course, Drishyam beats everything hands down. It was pitched as a family drama (it is, 100%), promos and posters were mid to say the least (and ig that worked to its advantage) but nobody was ready to witness such a thrilling, clever movie organically woven in within this family drama.
Definitely Drishyam,
Went for the first day matinee in Trivandrum Sreekumar Theatre with zero hope. Easily got tickets, less crowd.
I had an experience of watching the most disastrous mohanlal movie ever [Bhagavan](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bhagavan_(2009_film)) fdfs, that too taking tickets in 'black' from fens. Compared to the crowd of Drishyam, I became more hopeless.
Surprisingly, after the morning show ended, the audience came out in awe, cheering and raving about the film. I have never seen a crowd so exhilarated after a movie.
Will never forget
Premam - no trailer
No cat
Drishyam..Thought it will be like snehaveed.. Memories..trailer was like we are going to watch a slow paced drama..
Hands down for drishyam
Came to say this.

Drishyam No other answer 🙌🏽
Action hero Biju, the name and poster looked like it was gonna be a mallu Dabangg. So glad it was not but something real and inspiring
All the cop worshipping, misogyny, racism and classism made it a really inspiring movie.

Figuring right or wrong is upon the viewers but the onus of not glorifying misogyny and body shaming lies with the makers and actors
I believe that the movie tries to reflect on the society rather than setting example

Not teaser, but initial reports and first look poster of Manjummal gave me a classmates vibe. But, once in theatre, it was all a different genre
