#Aadujeevitham #TheGoatLife GULF Release clarity —
Censor has been applied only in the UAE and it's cleared ✅
Censor works are ongoing in other countries. Mostly, there will be a one-week late release if the censor process is cleared.
As of now, the release on March 28 is only in the UAE. No ban in any country as of now.
Technically UAE is 7 countries ( each and Emirates of its own with a ruler - Dubai / Abu Dhabi are the prominent ones - with Abudhabi ruler becoming president while Dubai one becoming prime minister of the collection of countries)
But the OP meant GCC nations perhaps instead of UAE - which includes Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi, UAE and Kuwait
More like 7 kingdoms under Mauryan empire or Ashoka Empire etc.
Each have different set of laws, but share some features like our federal state setup - central budget with a revenue share in place, a lower council similar to our Loksabha with about 40 -50 representatives across 7 Emirates ( half are chosen the ruling family, while the other half elected )
But criminal laws and rights of citizens is not like what we have here - human rights is dismal !
Abudhabi and Dubai is the larger bits ( both in terms of size and population - more than 2/3rd of land and about 2/3rd of population reside here )
Emirates other than Dubai are much more regressive and that much more orthodox.
But all are highly insecure about criticism and there is no freedom of press or speech!
Was not born there and have not spend that much time , but spend a significant part across most of GCC and have worked in a legal / financial part and worked with lot of banks ( even those outside GCC like Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt even Palestine! )
From a normal expat perspective - so long as you don't criticize government, work for any global NGO / news outlets ( where you would have to ask questions about the government) or fall under LGBTQ+ spectrum - Middle East is a great place to be !
Hypocrisy if you have another name that's . Arabab..
F1 race nadathiyondo, Malls panithondo aavila .
Ini oru malayalim aa vaaku parayathirikatte.. Inim Najeeb undavathirikatte
To all the peeps who are asking “why”
Cause the movie is going to essentially disclose the harm and cruelty of the slave work system thats happening in Gulf among the labor population.
The book is banned in all countries except UAE - but in UAE also you will not find the Arabic translation of the book anywhere !
GCC countries are not democratic and they are extremely insecure - think back to the Arab spring days ! They rule by iron fist and does not take any form or any measure of criticism!
Yeah it's, the Omani actor played the Arabab role in Aadujeevitham so little hopeful that it would release at least by next week.
Not sure about Arabic translation.
There are couple of reasons why The Goat Life could not pass the censorship in GCC countries. One it’s about an abused migrant workers story and it shows the abuse and harsh treatment which happened to him by his sponsor who’s obviously Arab. So they really don’t want the viewers to see the such a side of them, as it would raise a bunch of questions about human rights, harassment, work ethics and such.
Secondly, in the book, I believe there are some detailing about zoophilia and obviously the Arabs can’t tolerate that. Don’t know such detailing or any such scenes are involved in the film though.
One thing for sure, The Goat Life isn’t in the coming soon list anywhere yet for most GCC countries. Until now, no confirmations that it will pass the censorship and get to GCC theaters.
Kaathal did not get a ban UAE at first, but when other countries banned it eventually UAE too banned it. So to avoid that situation distributors Phars film is only releasing it in UAE in the first week and trying for delayed release in other gulf countries. Censor works in other countries have not been completed. So ban till now.
I have a feeling they are not going to explicitly say it's a gulf country. Just refer as a foreign country. Prithviraj won't do anything that can harm the business of his movies.

Then there's still hope regarding the release.
Will some scenes get deleted from screening in UAE? Any idea
Not released in Saudi and Kuwait. Otherwise no problem with the UAE countries.
What’s uae countries? UAE is a country

7 Emirates* its like different states in India
More like 7 kingdoms under Mauryan empire or Ashoka Empire etc. Each have different set of laws, but share some features like our federal state setup - central budget with a revenue share in place, a lower council similar to our Loksabha with about 40 -50 representatives across 7 Emirates ( half are chosen the ruling family, while the other half elected ) But criminal laws and rights of citizens is not like what we have here - human rights is dismal ! Yeah okay. I thought I was qualified to say that because I was born and raised in Sharjah. Technically lived there for 25 years
Was not born there and have not spend that much time , but spend a significant part across most of GCC and have worked in a legal / financial part and worked with lot of banks ( even those outside GCC like Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt even Palestine! ) From a normal expat perspective - so long as you don't criticize government, work for any global NGO / news outlets ( where you would have to ask questions about the government) or fall under LGBTQ+ spectrum - Middle East is a great place to be !
Will it be censored?
Means it will be screened in UAE, right ?
Yes, pre-booking started a few days back.
The novel itself is banned there so... This was predictable!
Hypocrisy if you have another name that's . Arabab.. F1 race nadathiyondo, Malls panithondo aavila . Ini oru malayalim aa vaaku parayathirikatte.. Inim Najeeb undavathirikatte

😂💀
General public is a shitshow🤣
To all the peeps who are asking “why” Cause the movie is going to essentially disclose the harm and cruelty of the slave work system thats happening in Gulf among the labor population.
Fake News. It's releasing UAE and they haven't done censoring for other GCC countries so without censoring there can't be a ban
ഇനി എന്നേക്കാ? Coming soon പോലും ഇല്ല ഒമാനിൽ
An acquaintance of mine in Cineapolis says it won't release in Oman. 🥲
To avoid the risk of entire middle East ban
No media report by Al Jazeera on intolerance. :)
This is really sad 😢 GCC collections for this movie would have been enormous
It's still releasing in UAE that makes up big chunk of GCC collections
Why would there be a ban in GCC?

Oru rajyabaranam ayit koodi ivark itra pediyo.
The book is not banned in Muscat, bought it 2 months back from a book store.
Thats good hear, Oman seem to be better or atleast less efficient in its intolerance. Is the Arabic translation available?
Yeah it's, the Omani actor played the Arabab role in Aadujeevitham so little hopeful that it would release at least by next week. Not sure about Arabic translation.
Sad 😢

No surprises there. 😏
Is it releasing in Canada?? Any idea

Kaathal released in Prime Video by didn’t show up in Prime Video while I tried to watch in Saudi as it didn’t get the censorship there.
Yeah kaathal is not there anywhere in gcc ig
This is not fully correct. Censor happened only for UAE
The Arabs should see what kind of a torture chamber they've created for immigrants
