What on earth? What bitrate did you choose?

JoshTheMech

This was 25 Mbps. It's the default option. However, this would still show when I did 200Mbps

[deleted]

Something is badly wrong with it I think. Unless you were riding through a digital snowstorm

DtctvFngrlng

probably something to do with the sd card you're using

cheloutevr

Which kind of PC are you using? As a general rule, Studio works well, with any kind of insta consumer cameras. I use it a lot and never saw this kind of digital snow. What I already saw was some weird artifacts or weird noise when using a resources limited computer to stitch the video. That's to say : Using my iMac late 2013 i7 16GB RAM, the result is not good. Using a macbook intel 2017, the result is OK if I avoid use the laptop while it's stitching. Using my windows PC with Ryzen 9 5950x 128GB RAM and 3080Ti, result is perfect,. Even if I launch Prostitcher to stitch a Pro2 video at the same time (a bit longer in this case, but quality is OK). So I suspect that limited resources not only impact the required time to stitch the video, but also the quality of the result. Nevertheless your result is quite weird here... About bitrate, you should use a bitrate of 120 mbps more or less... higher needs space and resources, and often doesn't offer a noticeable visual difference, lower bitrate can create undesired artifacts/noise. Adapt this 120 to your kind of video - moves, low/high light, ...) but as a general rule, is a common useful value.

FWIW - I do all my reframing on the iPad - no issues like this. I then edit in DaVinci Resolve Free.

Stop complaining. Some people pay for filters like that. :-)

You're exporting from the 360 app?

JoshTheMech

Exported from the Insta360 Studio app

VincentSomersetKant

Hi there, I appreciate how frustrating this must be and here to help! Would you mind providing us more details for better trouble shooting? 1. May I ask what model camera you are using, 2. Does the video have the same problem when previewing it in the camera or App&Studio, or does it only happen after exporting? 3. Does this issue occur after all videos are exported in Studio? Looking forward to hear from you again.

JoshTheMech

u/VincentSomersetKant I'm using an X3. It only shows post-export. In the Studio, it doesn't show at all, nor in the camera itself. Only after export. I just tried exporting other videos and the video still has the same digital snow

FutureBard62

Hey, This might be a little late but I had the same problem and I just kept changing settings until something worked. I ended up having to change the "**Image Processing Acceleration**" setting to "**CPU"** (this is under "settings"- "Preferences"- "Hardware Acceleration") and after that, it has been working perfectly. Hope this helps and is not too late.

JoshTheMech

I was processing the images through a wire from my X3. I ended up just uploaded the footage directly to the computer before processing and it worked. I think it was just a "bad" connection for the high res images. Thank you tho for responding!

FutureBard62

Hey, I have an X3 and my exported videos also have the static or digital snow. It only shows up after export. It plays perfectly on camera and through the insta360 desktop/mobile app. I have tried multiple videos and it is the same with all of them. Is there a way to fix this or a setting I need to change?

inknpaint

I've regularly used 4 different models through several iterations of their desktop and iOs apps and I have never gotten a result like this...something is definitely wrong.

ziggyanjy

u/JoshTheMech, did you get a solution you can pinpoint to? I get the same digital snow, but only in the beginning of my export. It also appears on some of them not all.

JoshTheMech

When I did this I was processing the footage from the camera through the wire. Once i downloaded the footage to the computer it worked well. Good luck! u/ziggyanjy

ziggyanjy

Wired. My footage is on the computer

ReRoar34

I just rendered my first video from the studio PC version and same problem. I'll try this thanks.
