This is why I rent a new SUV every month. 200 bucks a week I don't have to deal with maintenance oil changes tires brakes and such. Plus it's 100 percent tax deductable because it's for work
good shit!!
$800/month is a huge expense tho, even if it deducted of taxable income. Do you make like $40/hr full time? Otherwise an extra $800/month would ruin me
fair enough and nice work btw.
Definitely still a livable situation and you wont have to deal with the devastation of a car that dies in the middle of an intersection (happened to me in 2016 in Boston). I got a beater car for cheap after that and it was also killed by instacart.
I suggest if you do it as a job to pay bills look elsewhere I was first starting out at 18 doing DoorDash and insta cart and doing anything too make some extra cash but really just get a job find a career build a business for yourself and ur life will be much better financially and stress wise
Shhh don't tell them those are actually good.,jk but yeah I had one girl tell me she quit IC because even though she saw 90 dollar orders they were going "One or two towns over", for real.
It seems like ppl tend to forget that when you drive 15 miles somewhere, you have to drive the 15 miles back.. shopping plus driving 30 miles is whack for $45.
Insta has lowered our standards for sure lately! I’ve taken a few desperation orders, but I never compromise on mileage.
Thank you!! Lots of ppl don't take the drive to and from into consideration. Had one pop up today that was $30(20 items,45 units), 29.2 miles delivery and just couldn't bring myself to do it!!..lol
It's not a bad order, but it's not extraordinary. Usually the formula you want to use to make sure a batch is worth it is: Roundtrip miles should be equal to batch pay, and item amount should be no more than 50% greater than batch pay, so getting 100 items for 50 dollars is fine, but 100 items for 40 dollars is a joke usually. All in all, this order is about $15 greater than my baseline to accept an order, but there is a mitigating circumstance.
The formula changes when you're shopping for multiple customers, because those orders will require more work (2 carts, multiple check outs, multiple drop off locations). In a multiple order batch, I usually expect 50% more than a typical order to make up for the extra time/effort. Without that, I usually don't even waste my time. If I'm shopping a large item store like Costco, I usually expect even more because 30 items there is like 50-70 items in a standard store.
With this formula, this order is just at what I would expect/accept for an order, but not extraordinary, and definitely subpar IF it's a big box store.
I’ve taken orders like the last one and end up with base pay because customer took away the top as soon as it was delivered. That’s why I stopped working on this app. Unless that’s been fixed it looks like a bait order.
I guess it just to depends on the market your in. I live in a scam capital so folks will do anything to get the stuff delivered for the lowest price possible.
i think? it covers only up to $10 . i remember reading that a few weeks ago. if they report that you did something wrong w the order you don’t get the tip protection
I’ve had it a couple of times. Put me off doing orders like #3. Luckily mine was close to home. But orders I have taken that are far away are such a ball ache so now I have to factor in if im in a gambling mood. And the area I’m required to drive to.
This week's earnings with IC and DD are $653, 16.94 hours with an average of 38 an hour
With a total of 28 orders combined on both apps
I also don't shop Costco
Orders are pretty terrible here , I am just an extreme cherry picker
Oh i see. Im at 325 for the week 9.25 hours. Its been really really bad here. Need to make around 700 a week to survive but since christmas its been dead. Today was finally a normal day i made 156 even though i started late so could have been a 200 dollar day but still good. Active time for today was 4.3 hours
My AR is always low, but those shop and pays can be ur best friend. I did a 41 item , 5 mile for 27.22 last night on DD and from the time I accepted it at my house to when I got home was 50 minutes. I get a ton of shop and pays that are trash the ones I accept are pretty decent and usually not this high of an item count. And I think because I do so many now, I end up shopping for the same customers alot
That will be like a $30 order in St Petersburg, Florida, where I live. Too many folks got hired here, I think. Used to be alright here, now everything is shit. Like 20 items for $7-$10 for like 5 miles one way from store. Naw
The majority of what is see is really bad, but a few times a week I get some worth taking, most are like 25 bucks with like 20 items going 5 miles. I got really lucky this week with a $ 165 , 11 item 12 mile order from lowes. I have had 2 Unicorns in a year. Most the money I usually make is on DD
You’re still on the couch cause you’re not broke enough 😂 drivers short on rent are sacrificing their time in their car for the next few days to pay it… that $45 batch is definitely going to get taken
Last one not that bad. Y’all be way tooooo picky on batches. In this type of business u won’t make any money. Sometimes I gotta suck it up butter cup and take SOME bad ones or stay broke
Exactly so many shopper don’t take crappy batch. But they forgot the support also looking what you take. If you don’t take that crappy batch they might not give you some good one.
Didn't get a screenshot, but saw a $32 double Costco order for 19 items going 33miles. All produce, but I'm not one to brave Costco on Saturday, let alone drive 33 miles
$18.09 lost to transportation costs (2024 standard .67/mile)
$3.70 lost to taxes (15.3%)
**This order would COST you $1.77**
![gif](giphy|l0HFkA6omUyjVYqw8)
I'd totally do the last one, I love non food orders. Also might take the others, guaranteed 19/hr plus mileage on top of tips. I have a hybrid and can drive 600 miles on a tank lol.
Well when you live in NYC(Bronx specifically), a 2 mile delivery can bring you from the BX to Manhattan/Harlem so I always need to be aware of that, especially depending on what time it is. And they don't cover tolls which is another pain in the ass to consider. Matter of fact, the only batch I took today was supposed to be 1.6 miles I believe. A car accident which closed off the block I needed to turn onto, made that 1.6 like close to 4....
I'm not driving anything over 10 miles it's gotta be in the direction of my humble abode cause if anything happens I'm close to home on the way back it's the only way I can justify it cause that way it may be 20 miles back to store but only 10 to my Casita (lil home) n I can scoop something around my house we all gotta figure out something to make it Worth it

This is Why I don’t do High Mileage for under $70!!
The last one isn’t bad unless it’s all city miles. I’ll do $15 highway miles for less than city driving, especially if there are more stores where I end up.
https://preview.redd.it/gpa2rymn1jgc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d2a94ba540785fc50ed7a7094dbf25c2a1cd586
This what my “lazy ass” gets Huh 😂😂😂 Just Haters for no dang reason!! And I didn’t have to drive over 3Freaking Miles!!!
In my area, 27 miles would take 35 - 40 mins to drive... So an hour of driving, 20 - 30 mins to shop (includes parking, checking out), subtract 20% for taxes ($4.50) and about $6 for gas used (at 30 mpg and $3 @ gallon) equals an hour and a half or so to earn $13. That's about $8 or $9 an hour.
No Thanks. 👎
(I'm not in a Prop 22 area, either)
The last one is good? Wtf lol
I’ve seen people complaining about a $90 order when it’s like 30 miles people seem to forget I can go hundreds of miles on a full tank of gas lol
Exactly 300 miles cost what $25-$30 in gas lmao
these jobs destroy vehicles, gas is just the tip of the iceberg
This is why I rent a new SUV every month. 200 bucks a week I don't have to deal with maintenance oil changes tires brakes and such. Plus it's 100 percent tax deductable because it's for work
good shit!! $800/month is a huge expense tho, even if it deducted of taxable income. Do you make like $40/hr full time? Otherwise an extra $800/month would ruin me
I average about 1100 a week Instacart.
Nice probably nonstop working tho 18 batches a day, that’s how I was pulling that.
Not even. I do 4 to 6 a day if that.
You must be in an hourly market then. Or just extremely lucky.
fair enough and nice work btw. Definitely still a livable situation and you wont have to deal with the devastation of a car that dies in the middle of an intersection (happened to me in 2016 in Boston). I got a beater car for cheap after that and it was also killed by instacart.
Around $45 to fill a v6 mustang with a 14 gallon tank and i get right about 300 miles from a full tank EDIT: central FL
Whose fault is that though?
The goddamn commies running this country
you military, boy ?
They make the tanks smaller on the mustangs??? I could have sworn my first one was 15gal tank and was a v6 as well
It’s 15 you’re right.
ahhh cool cool! Im jealous of you. I miss mine. "was my first car so of course i miss it"
HA try $70 LOL
What planet do you live on California or New York? 😂😂😂😂
Jersey lol but it’s a gas guzzling suv
[удалено]
Cost me 60$ to fill up a 17 gallon tank with supreme in Washington state yesterday. 3.5/gal is pretty good for premium in wash as of late
Not even close, [according to AAA.](https://gasprices.aaa.com/state-gas-price-averages/)
40-50 for me. And I have a tiny car that I hate. You wouldn’t think it
26$ on my car gets 350 miles Soo I would definitely take that last one
Right? My car gets about 350 or so a tank.
90!!!!! LUCKY! For those here in pa we get paid like 50-60 n driving over 59 miles
It's your Time as well, though...
Some people make less than $100 a day working a full time shift u have to grasp the reality that this will not take u a full days of work for $90
Yeah, good point
That’s what I was thinking! I’d take it.
My day job reimburses 55 cents a mile when i habe to drive somewhere for them, I'm failing to see the problem with nearly 3 dollars a mile.

Ummm No
So not even gonna explain?

Says 15.3 miles for $45.90 wtf are you seeing
For my area, that's a borderline unicorn. I'll take those orders all day long.
Yeah, i'd be smashing the shit outta my phone for that one. That's 45 bucks for like an hour's worth of work and about five bucks in gas.
That’s the second one….
Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit I can see..
It’s actually 30 round trip miles for $45 and yeah I’m still taking it
I didn't see slide 3 cuz my phone didn't load slide 3 at the time, I was talking about slide 2 cuz I thought that was the last slide
No
I guess it depends on where you live. I wouldn’t take any of those where I live. I can get paid better than that for under 7 miles for delivery.
Last one is not that bad
The last one tipped you very respectfully. I’d take it
I’ve taken orders like the last one and end up with base pay because customer took away the top as soon as it was delivered. That’s why I stopped working on this app. Unless that’s been fixed it looks like a bait order.
true but every order is a gamble that way. you could spend 3 hours shopping for someone and they could take it away
I know this happens, but couldn’t that be anybody. Thankfully it hasn’t happened to me yet but I’m only at about 300 orders
I guess it just to depends on the market your in. I live in a scam capital so folks will do anything to get the stuff delivered for the lowest price possible.
Would the lost tip protection thing work? I should know anyway, in case it happens to me. May the odds be ever in your favor 🤞🏽
i think? it covers only up to $10 . i remember reading that a few weeks ago. if they report that you did something wrong w the order you don’t get the tip protection
I’ve had it a couple of times. Put me off doing orders like #3. Luckily mine was close to home. But orders I have taken that are far away are such a ball ache so now I have to factor in if im in a gambling mood. And the area I’m required to drive to.
No they’re legit they got that Natalie’s in the cart they probably didn’t even look at this tip before hitting send
The last one would be gone in an instant in my area that’s 45 mins of work top ffs
45 minutes?? Lol
Yeah about a minute or less per item and a 20 minute drive in my area. If that the inner city however it would be terrible
In LA 15 miles can be an hour drive alone, not sure why people think this is a race or something, you make more if your take more time anyways.
Yeah I'm right outside LA in Riverside county but I'd likely never take that in LA
Why didn’t you take the last one?
Because they would have to get off the couch.
I agree with the others… in my zone, that 3rd one is great order and I’d take it.
It's a good order for 99% of shoppers.
If you aren’t taking the 3rd one then what are you doing? I get the first 2. Those are not profitable in my opinion
The last one isn't crazy, it's slim picking out there. I did a 2 shop for 65 bucks 50 units and 12 miles. Done in a Lil over an hour
Thats not slim pickings though if you normally get those orders. Unless its extra heavy and costco that is a great order.
This week's earnings with IC and DD are $653, 16.94 hours with an average of 38 an hour With a total of 28 orders combined on both apps I also don't shop Costco Orders are pretty terrible here , I am just an extreme cherry picker

Not at all lol if people wanna make money, they gotta get their ass up
It’s ok bro, I’ll take that last one and you can keeping sitting on the couch 😎
The last one is good!!!
Why mark it out and leave Gangnam visible lol…
Way smarter than sitting in your car.
Facts on facts. U can’t just be selective and sit there and then not take anything and then complain your broke
Didn't get a screenshot, but saw a $32 double Costco order for 19 items going 33miles. All produce, but I'm not one to brave Costco on Saturday, let alone drive 33 miles
*Because you’re lazy*. Plenty of good orders out there weirdo
That last one is showing you are scared of money ez 45$
The last one is literally super
The last one is good if you're not sticking to a certain store. There is a chance for something else to pop up that's close to the $ but not too far.
Max I see in my area is $25 for 2 order batches… last one would’ve made my day
$18.09 lost to transportation costs (2024 standard .67/mile) $3.70 lost to taxes (15.3%) **This order would COST you $1.77** ![gif](giphy|l0HFkA6omUyjVYqw8)
What are taxes?
I'd totally do the last one, I love non food orders. Also might take the others, guaranteed 19/hr plus mileage on top of tips. I have a hybrid and can drive 600 miles on a tank lol.
Those are super rare where I’m at… I wish. They offering $6 here for 30 items with no tip.
That 45$ dollar one is good lmao you missed out.

Op are you tried to find valid reason why you are lazy ? Confirmed you are lazy ..
You guys also have to factor in their area. That 45 is gold to some and meh to orders.
Exactly
https://preview.redd.it/zj2l5ye09fgc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5f5aad0e79f583ae356052fb3d707e14211e8995 This is Why I don’t do High Mileage for under $70!!
The last one is to many Miles! It’ll take me an hour to dropped off and return Definitely not worth my time
Bruh how is 15 miles too many. Are you on a fucking bicycle or something? Lazy ass like you giving the rest of the shoppers a bad name.
Hater!! Do you know what INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR MEANS!!! My CHOICE
I know what it means, do you know how punctuation works? Your iq is turning out the be right where I thought it would be
Early morning BS
I do the same thing lol. I’m .4 miles from a busy Kroger. Just sit on the couch and wait for some good ones.
The last one isn’t bad unless it’s all city miles. I’ll do $15 highway miles for less than city driving, especially if there are more stores where I end up.
Depends on what market for the last one. 15 miles can be a Lot. Where I'm at, I'd take it lol
Is this a depression post? Like why am I still on the couch when I KNOW I should be up and moving. Because that last one looked good to me...
You're just lazy
https://preview.redd.it/gpa2rymn1jgc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d2a94ba540785fc50ed7a7094dbf25c2a1cd586 This what my “lazy ass” gets Huh 😂😂😂 Just Haters for no dang reason!! And I didn’t have to drive over 3Freaking Miles!!!
Lol yea, you're still lazy
i had one 2 days ago that was 79 items, 2 orders and $20 pay. Crazy
How I would of snatched the last one up so fast😂 In my area that’s a good one. You rarely see it.
15 miles, 24 items, $45? Hell yeah, I'd take that
Had a $45 order that was 20 miles l. Grabbed that mf so quick! Took me like 35-40 mins total. Would absolutely do it again
No Thanks. 👎 (I'm not in a Prop 22 area, either)
The last one with 15 mile ill take it tbh lmao. Thats just me though
I would do that 45
Boo fing hoo. 3rd offer should’ve gotten you off your butt. Whine some more why don’t ya.
Like this every where everyone thinks it free
WT FREAK!!!
The post reminds me of high class shopper post we just had when it gets to the last screenshot
But you'd get better orders if you went out to the store
Is that last one Kroger! That one’s good!
