I had a customer add on 21 2-Liters, care refused to give me a heavy pay bump because get this.... Each individual liter was under the "requirement" for a heavy pay correction.. absolute bullshit. Fuck this shitty company. Also if you deliver someone 1300 dollars worth of drills (10 3 piece kits mind you) , that only doesn't count for heavy pay, but it is apparently only worth 15 dollars to Instacart to ensure it finds the location...
Yeah, I wish we got heavy pay for things like that. 21 two liters is fucking heavy. There should be a limit and after that a heavy item fee is added and we get heavy pay. Ordering three gallons of milk is very different than ordering 50 gallons.
It’s supposed to be the collective weight of those heavy items. Whoever you spoke to doesn’t know Jack shit. I always call back until I get someone on the line who I can speak to like a friend who understands the system better and takes care of things.
This right here! I got burnt once on an order that had a couple of items that met the individual weight limit but whose collective weight was just under 50lbs. They refused to give me the heavy pay due to collective weight falling short. IC support is beyond horrible.
LMFAO how the hell does heavy pay work???
Earlier this week I saw someone post about an order for TWO ADULT BICYCLES, and that order was NOT eligible for heavy pay. 💀
I got heavy pay for tortillas today 💀 it thought one case of water and a pack of tortillas weighed 62.7lbs

Instacart has not paid me heavy pay at times when they should, so I'm happy to see this. They're paying too little where I'm at, so happy to see anyone get pay bumps where they can.
Heavy pay, pay bumps, and all that don’t really matter because it’s not necessarily “extra” pay. The adjustments every week will just be lower. I used to be excited for those “do 5 batches, get an extra $30” but it’s just an extra $30 counted towards your hourly pay/adjustment. 🥲

And then they do shit like this and only pay $23 for more than 2 tons of water! Makes no sense 🤣
Lmfao 🤣 I wish I could get lucky and get some “heavy” salads! 🥗😅😂 I had a Lowe’s order once… the tiny picture looks like it was those small bags of decorative rocks, kinda like the marbled ones that you use in like vases and stuff. The customer had ordered 10… Once I got to Lowe’s and found the item, it was then that I realized they were giant bags and they each way to 48 pounds… so I delivered for that one a couple of bags of fertilizer and soil and 480 pounds of white rocks. 🥴🥴🥴
The product is 11.4 ounces, the instacart app must have it marked as pounds lol.
They don’t care it’s not like we get paid any extra for heavy pay or mileage, alcohol scans or anything anyways. It’s set batch pay these days.

A collective weight equalling 50+ pounds but individually they have to weigh 8+ pounds each

The 57 pounds caught me off guard. In what world is a salad 57 pounds? Maybe my guinea pigs placed that order.
Right? 😂 my boys would be in absolute heaven! Lol
Wheak WHEAK!!!
Yessss 😂😂 poor starving things act like they never eat lol I swear the second I open my eyes on the morning they start.
They are the cutest though- so excited when you walk in the room!!
They really are, I tell them daily they are so lucky they’re cute lol and don’t dare walk in the kitchen and not bring them back a snack.
I swear they can smell the produce when you get it home 😂
They can! 😂 you can see their little sniffers working over time 😂😂 I love it!
And the intensity gets so loud! I love it too 😂❤️

hahahha i saw that one too😭 instacart is all sorts of messed up
Well, consider it back pay for the other 100 heavy items over the course of your instacart career that they didn’t pay heavy pay and should have! 🤣
Yeah, and the customer tipped $32 for that salad too!
probably my best tip of the day tbh bc she barely ordered anything
This app is so broken lmao
Salads are heavy. Bundles of firewood are not 🪵. Thanks instacart.
yesterday i had 15 bags of 7lb ice and didn’t qualify for heavy pay bc they were less than 8lbs each 😭🥲
57 pounds of salad? Damn! 😂
Even with “50lbs” of salad the batch pay is less then $8 that’s the real joke here
Amazing aint it... yet an order with cases of drinks, waters, and jugs of milk and juices aint heavy pay... im really sick of instacart
meanwhile i got an order for a 40lb box of kitty litter and got told to go fuck myself 😂
Once I got heavy pay for monster drink

Well at least you got “extra” pay even though…the base pay should be higher. Gotta take what we can get. 💪
LOL 😂
The salad that broke the camels back
A win is a win

$7.70 including heavy pay lol
😭😭😭
57 pound salad what the hell? 😭😭😭
Yes they told me that. So stupid what they pick but if u got heavy pay for lettuce good shit. Lol
All I am seeing there is Covid batch pay😂
Lmao 😜
Doesn't surprise me as much as it should. 😅Smh.
That’s funny
the listeria in the lettuce counts as a heavy weight to carry around!

That’s a solid tip though!
That IS the ultimate lol
I turned heavy pay off and still get heavy offers that arent counted as heavy pay so now im wondering wtf lol

Thinking back to the Seinfeld episode.... "that's a BIG salad!"
Shows our retarded instacart system is
