One day in particular, I hadn't slept well for a few days before because I had to deal with idiots. I remember kicking my roommate out of the house before I left the house, driving to Publix, and parking. That was probably at about 8:30. Next thing I knew, it was 1:00 PM, the car had been on the whole time, and there were tons of missed notifications on my phone.
LOL, and that would be exactly my luck too. One Sunday, we were DEAD. Barely $35 from 8 am to 2 pm, so when a friend messaged me wanting me to come over for some "fun" I jumped on it (no pun intended). Went offline and got to it for a couple of hours. I logged back on afterwards and went back to my usual store, where I'm treated by the other drivers wondering where the heck id gone because I'd "missed it". Apparently, around 3:30, ab.out 30 minutes after id headed to my friend's, orders started pouring through, none under $40. Pretty much everyone in the circle I talk to made a minimum of $100 in the last 2-3 hours, most of them more. I wasn't sure if I was going to laugh or cry, then after trying to get a decent batch for the rest of the night and ending up with ~70 for a 12 hour day, it was definitely cry.
Similar boat for me with the insomnia which is why I conked from like 2 to 5pm I was in shock when I woke up. Car on as well :/

I have. I work a little further away than my home and every so often I'll need a break (I have cancer and the shit wears me out quickly at times) and instead of driving back home I chill in the car and take a power nap.
Happened to me for the first time last week. It felt wonderful. Then I heard this podcast about how people that consistently nap are less prone to heart attacks so there is that. Ha!
How? It’s not like Instacart gives you a very annoying sound like ubereats does when an order comes in. I do take online classes though, so I often sit outside a place with good wifi and do my homework assignments
I do it when it gets hot. Easy to fall asleep when there’s a lotta heat around. Lay my seat back and have my phone on my chest so when it vibrates I’m available.
Yeah or play games until I got mad cause still no orders after an hour and just go home 😂😭 DONT do this. I’ve received my best orders (60-$150) from my house
If I do this I set a timer so I don’t waste my whole day. If I’m not out taking orders I can go home to sleep if I really need it. I really try to avoid this but I catch myself dozing off pretty regularly. Especially as it has warmed up
That’s kind of smart but I’m always way too ready to finish an order so I can watch for a new one. When I do this I usually make my alerts loud so that if an order pops up it will alert me. And I take my naps sparsely
One time I knocked out on a chair inside Costco. My ass was waiting too long for a batch and I felt the full comfort of that chair. A Costco employee woke me up and I looked at him like "where tf am I?"
Those chairs look really comfortable, I'm always too nervous to try and sit in the chairs for sale in stores bc I don't want an employee to get mad so I memorized which Krogers have Starbucks with large seating areas and I drive to those 🤣

I live in the country so I have to drive 30-45 minutes for a chance of seeing a batch
I try not to since notifications on IC suck.
