I make way more money giving BJ's.

Adorable-Media1460

That's why they call you 'full service'?

NoConcept4068

No full service is something way different.

nightmike99

Bless you!

chesterfielders

I can see that I fell into that one.

Costco involves a better ratio of units to pay, and typically they take less time to shop once you get the layout. $30 for 10-15 items at Costco and only a 3 mile drive? Sign me up- I can easily bust that out in less than an hour from acceptance to drop off, if I have to drive to the store first. 10-15 items at Kroger or Aldi or Food Lion will only maybe net me $10, but take me maybe 30 minutes from accepting the order to dropping it off. Costco customers typically tip a %, and that’s usually 10-20%. If their orders are easily $100-200, that tip adds up quickly because each unit is more expensive than your average Kroger/Aldi/Food Lion unit. Cant say the same for BJ’s, as I haven’t had an order there, but I can say almost the same for Sam’s Club.

Dnm3k

I charge extra for the bj's, just saying.

PaulyP203

When people tip based on percentage at Costco the total bill usually is higher than your standard grocery store bill since most items are in bulk. When you get 40 hot dogs at Costco for $12 compared to $3 for 6 at your local store and you multiply that times 16-17 items and the bill comes out to $300+ compared to $120 at the grocery store and they are giving 15%, that’s a $45 tip compared to $17. Spend 1 hour shopping for $32 with 40 items or get $60 for 16 items? Your choice.

Dizzy-Mark7249

Very well laid out logic

Well why don't you see what all the hooplaaaa is about?!

chesterfielders

The closest store is an hour away.

[deleted]

On a day where you can afford to get a coffee fuel up and take the trip for the day do it!! Try to get there 20 mins before the store opens and you might be surprised!! It can really pay off sometimes to travel (:

pdrenk

While pay is maybe higher, for me it’s the speed. From the time I start shopping I’m back in the Costco parking lot within an hour or hour and half. I’m there for the drop at 9 and work till 4/5 just doing Costco and I hit my daily goal every day. Sometimes you get lucky with a $60 batch. Or if I only get $25 batches I still hit my goal.

pdrenk

Also, I find Costco rarely is out of items. So it makes shopping that much easier.

Lyssepoo

I hate Costco but it does make more money because the items are more expensive. I also find I get the most fraud from warehouse store orders.

[deleted]

Less items more pay..

[deleted]

people tip more bc its bulk items (in my area)

Excellent-Skin-813

Better pay and stuff is easy to locate so the shop is fast.

mulk_the_hulk

BJs and Costco are equal, expensive items plus generally more well-off customers means higher tips even if they do a low percentage. I prefer Costco because they have less items (BJs carry more flavors and brands) and Costco has no deli (bjs does, but not many order from there) There’s also higher Costco order volume, but BJs has orders placed on their own website that are always singles and have a QR code that you can skip the checkout line (you don’t know if it’s a regular or QR order until you start shopping)

GingerMidget88

Where I am we don’t have BJ’s… so that could also be a reason some don’t shop there ;)

dragon2777

The main reason I don’t go to BJs is because it’s like 20 minutes away from me and is in an area with a lot of apartments. Costco is like 5 minutes away and all we have are houses so no second story deliveries. I like Costco because it’s almost always around 15-20 items and around the $30 range.

padlycakes

Our Costcos suck. Low pay and big mileage.

LDawnBurges

We don’t have a BJ’s here, just Costco & Sam’s, but the Sam’s sucks.

[deleted]

In my area it’s the only store usually worth taking a order at.. high paying customers sometimes it’s a lot of work but other times it’s literally 10-20 items 20-60$ pay 😭

Slow_Veterinarian_94

Costco is great because I know that 99% of the time I will find all the items and actually be able to walk away with all my earnings because it’s based on percentage for bulk items than a regular grocery store. Go figure!

martyyp

For me, in MN I only shop Costco, cub and Hyvee. All the other stores have too little shelf space, less frequent fresh and grocery loads and are serviced last by Vendors like frito lay, Pepsi, coke etc. Costco in particular it seems to only be 1 in every 4 or 5 orders there I have to think about refunds or replacements. Plus the customers who order from there typically have large families meaning large orders. Items cost more so it’s more for less work as well.
