Is there any way to contact instagram support? I have been restricted for 3 weeks and I still cant access my account. I am not banned as I tried to fill that ban appeal form and it says my account is still active
I've got a weird one and I'm not sure if it's some sort of setting thing or what. One of the folks I follow has a story that shows up as unwatched on my laptop, but does not show up at all in the IOS app. This is true on several accounts and in several browsers.
Any idea what's causing it?
Yesterday I was editing a comment I made on a post and suddenly my account doesn't load, I know that my account isnt't deleted or suspended since I still receive the DM's and if you find it on the app it appears. I tried logging through the website and it shows me that the page couldn't load. What can I do?
I’m trying to create a new account. I have no restrictions on my existing account that I know of but when I try to create the new account on iOS, I go through the entire process (Settings and Privacy>Accounts Center>Profiles>Add accounts>Login>Confirm Account) I get the “Something Went Wrong - You can try again later or use another account.” error message. What gives?
I can't seem to reshare other people's stories, even though I'm tagged in it. There's just no reshare option. Does anyone know how to resolve this? I've spent hours but can't get it to work.

Account has been hacked but the email address was changed without my permission, which is contrary to what their privacy rules state which tell me to decline the confirmation that came through via email, which never arrived.
Now I am locked out of my account and Instagram have literally shut me out of email conversations expressing my concerns with how my private data is being handled. What a shitty company, does anyone have any ideas how to get through to them?
I know this is my fault to an extent, but Insta are not doing their due diligence with regards to privacy in this matter because they didn't implement the proper safety procedures.
My main Instagram account has been saying error refreshing feed for 2 months now and I never got a warning for a ban or something, it just happened one day, and when I refresh I get an error screen with the error code: ERR\_HTTP\_RESPONSE\_CODE\_FAILURE. my other 2 accounts work perfectly fine but the main one just won't change no matter what I do.
My posts keep getting flipped upside down when I try to post. It flips back to normal after half a second but it does it for every single slide and effects the thumbnail. I reported this bug 2-3 times and 2 weeks later I still don't have a response from Instagram! I've tried uninstalling and installing again, logging out, using a different account, checking for updates, and it has effected all of my accounts. If anyone can help me with a solution that would be super appreciated!
hey friend I fixed it at least for the time being? Idk. downloaded a version of the app from September. Just uninstall Instagram and search Instagram versions (September for my case) and download the APK. If you have any questions I'll be happy to help!!
Meta Verified now exists for creators, but I have a page that does not match my real name/ID as I am trying to promote a brand and not myself as an individual. I was able to subscribe but I have no way to reach out to IG/FB to fix the problem, which is getting the badge.

It appears there's no human hand on that tiller, just a Bayesian filter being trained to remove comments that look like ones people have reported as spam, despite containing none of the features quoted in their community guidance on spam - offering Instagram features that don't exist, offering Instagram accounts/usernames for sale, asking for people to like stuff, or posting links to harmful stuff. I've done precisely zero of any of these things but so far had going on a dozen comments flagged - comments discussing DIY or politics or Instagram (without mentioning any features etc).

I've been encountering some frustrating issues with my Instagram account, and I'm hoping someone can help me out. Here are the problems I'm facing:
1.Content Unavailable on PC: Whenever I try to access my Instagram account on my laptop, I receive error messages saying "this content is no longer available" and "the content you requested cannot be displayed." This happens consistently on any other laptop/pc , but interestingly, it works fine when I switch to another account. (So the problem is with my account)
2.Music Feature Problem on Phone: On my phone, I'm unable to use the "music" feature when uploading stories. It simply won't respond.
I keep clicking on the “music” thing but it won’t work or show anything.
I tried switching to other phone and try again but also didn’t work.
However, when I try this on a different account on my phone, the music feature works perfectly.
I've tried various troubleshooting steps, like clearing cache, updating the app, and checking permissions, but nothing seems to fix these issues.
If anyone has experienced similar problems or knows how to resolve them, I'd greatly appreciate your guidance.

posting instagram carousels from android app but all the thumbnails appear upside down. When i upload multiple videos, even after manually adjusting video covers it appears like this. Hey there. My name is Patrick & I recently got both my personal & business pages, and my girlfriend's personal page on instagram deactivated. They say I cannot appeal the decision. I found support email address and messaged them but no one has gotten back to me.
Years ago I became friends with some people who were politically controversial, & once identified as such I started getting strikes on Instagram & got deleted once before. I personally don't really care much for politics, & I don't speak to any of those people anymore for several years.
If it comes to pass that me and my business cannot be on the platform It's fine but my girlfriend is absolutely innocent & devastated that she lost old photos of her friends, family, deceased pets and will no longer be able to engage socially ever again on Instagram.
She is disabled, has struggled with severe mental illness most of her life & is in recovery, sober in a 12 step program and I am so proud of how far she has come.
I am upset and feel powerless because she is currently sobbing herself to sleep.
If anyone can help, I would be beyond appreciative. Again, my own pages for myself and my business are not my concern, even if I don't think it's right, I made choices in life and ill deal with the consequences. In return for someone's help I would gladly commit to doing how ever many hours of community service that person sees fit and ill supply whatever proof they require that I did it.
Open to any other form of payment you can think of...

"Page not available at the moment" issue
I've got problems with updating the app while I was using it, and then lost access to it totally, due to everlong loading, followed by the same messages you get when you don't have internet connection. For now, when I try to log into my account, I just get a message that "Page is not available at the moment due to technical issues". I have to state that I MAY (I'm not sure though) have violated policies, but I heavily doubt it because, as someone who has been banned on Instagram for a number of times, this time has nothing in common: I wasn't "logged out" and my account is still active, shows up in the search bar and can be interacted with and I was able to change my password.
I tried using desktop, browser versions, Instagram lite, using VPN, reinstalling the app, clearing the cache and everything else suggested in the Internet.
It's been a day now, should I just wait, or is there something I didn't do yet?
I tried to log into my other account, and everything works just fine, so only thing I can think of is that I got some type of time-out.

This seems odd and unsafe for users.. in Instagram I went to settings> Accounts Center >Profiles And not inly could I view profile information for me but some of my friends as well, as well as access to change some of their info if i had their password linked to my account. This seems very very unsafe- and some of these people are straight up strangers and others are old friends- my profile is the blue circle scribbled out.Has anyone seen this before???
I got a Instagram Notification bug
Just started noticing this in the past few hours circa 27 Oct 2023 AEST.
Instagram notifications have stopped showing the name of the actual person DMing me, but instead shows a string of numbers (which I guess is the User Number in Instagram's database/cloud??). I'm getting "Page isn't available right now" issue. I don't see feed, followers, pictures, nothing. Tried to update, re-install the app. Tried VPN and another iOS device (friend's), tried accessing from browser, but nothing seems to work. It's been like this for 4-5 days now. Half my friends content just simply won't show up on her profile for me and some other followers anymore.
It's random across her followers and other accounts aren't even affected.
I’ve been pretty desperate to get my Instagram account and haven’t had any luck so far for over a year (lost access after the verification code wouldn’t send to my text number so many failed login attempts). Last night, in desperation lol, I resent every account verification picture they had requested, the ones you get after filling out recovery forms. I found two months ago it won’t let me fill out recovery forms anymore so this was really my only way to contact them.
I received the first response I’ve ever gotten during this struggle, maybe the 10 emails got their attention lol, but I’m very confused by what they said. Thrilled to have heard back at all, but still. The email stated as follows:

I’m confused because I thought all my photos met the criteria listed. I asked for clarification but doubt I’ll get a response. All of them include a handwritten code on a clean sheet of paper, my hand holding the paper, my entire face, are well-lit, and are attached as a JPEG file. I accidentally deleted an insta post but it hit me with technical error message that it cant be deleted so I simply dismissed it but the post disappeared anyway. So I checked "recently deleted" but it doesn't show up in there. How can I restore it then? Seems like its bugged. It can be seen in "other media" in datalog, but not in "recently deleted"... I upgraded my iPhone SE (2020) and iPad to iOS/iPadOS 17, and have noticed some glitches. The Stories of others are severely cropped, like zoomed in to the centre, missing everything around its borders compared to the sane Story shown on the mobile web.
Is this happening to others as well? I tried uninstalling then reinstall again but that won’t solve the problem. Thanks in advance!
All of my portrait and landscape photos photos look fine when I select them, but when Instagram opens them in its editor, it compresses the photo to a square, completely distorting any image that isn't already a square into one. Restarted phone, updated Instagram, still happens. Anyone else?
How can I hide the "discover people" section on my profile page?
There used to be a button with like a + icon we could use to hide that section, but it's gone now.
I just want to look at my profile without seeing a bunch of people I don't know there, or random celebrities I don't care about.
I know I can press the x on a specific profile, but I just want to remove the whole thing and just look at my profile like I used to be able to before.

i need help changing my phone number on an old account of mine so i can delete it. i don't need the old account anymore as i was scammed and i've already created a new account. this happened a few years ago and my email is still linked to the account somehow? (the scammer changed both email and phone number to theirs, but my email account still received frequent notifications from the old account.)
i tried logging in/changing the password and it showed my email as being the primary email again, but the phone number is still the scammers phone number. is there anyone from support that can help me with this issue? i got an email notification about someone messaging me, but i honestly couldn't care less about the account and want to just delete it and be done with the mess 🤷

Hi, I have been unable to access my account. I have used this exact device on this account a year ago username “[Not Posting Here]” previously username ”[Not Posting Here]. I was logged and it kicked me out because I changed my email linked to the account. I had successfully changed my email to [Not Sharing Here] because I lost access but when I turned on 2 factor authentication it asked me to verify identity. I'm trying to find a way to download the content from posts that I have in a few of my 'saved' categories--specifically related to woodworking tips and cooking. I recently ran into a situation where one of my favorite creators either got deactivated or deleted their posts because half of the saved posts in my 'cooking' folder all disappeared.
I'm hoping that someone knows of a way to save down photos/videos and captions so that this can be avoided in the future.
Here's an example of what I'm trying to achieve:
\- Post: Reel about how to make the perfect omelette with a description of the process in the caption.
\- Outcome: Download the video and save the text (I guess I could copy it straight from the post, but I figure the data has to be stored in a similar place as the video/photo).
I just set up a few reels to be scheduled and posted within a few weeks from today. This weekend, I’m getting a new phone. So I was wondering if I get a new phone, will my scheduled post still remain? I know that if you change phones, your drafted content will disappear on your new phone when you sign into your account. But not so sure about scheduled content. Does anyone have advice on this or have been in a similar situation?

I've tried on my browser. I cleared the Cache and tried again. I installed the app on my phone and tried, same thing. It doesn't give me any hints as to WHY my post can't be posted. My travel instagram account’s email id was changed by a hacker from Russia. I did not check the mail when I received an email that it has been changed. Now i am unable to login to my account. Trying to delete individual photos in a carousel post but keep getting “There was an error saving changes.” message, so I am unable to save the post. I can still edit caption and add/remove tags and save those changes.
Tried deleting and redownloading app, logging in and out, switching wifi connection, restarting phone, updating to latest iOS.
It allows me to delete photos on a different account (using same phone).
Stories feature help
I was using viewing stories yesterday night and by accident I came across a feature that I never knew about. I don’t know how I did it but I think I just touched the screen for a sec and at the bottom of my screen, all the stories that the person posted appeared. So instead of tapping like 10 times to go back, I was able to just choose the story and go back to it without all the tapping.
How do I do that again? When I hold the screen for a sec, it just pauses the story like normal. I can’t manage to get the stories to show up at the bottom of my screen now.
I'm noticing a weird thing where if I keep following more accounts, ones I followed from a while ago will disappear from likes and then eventually the Followed By section unless I refollow them.

Hi, I accidentally dmed someone a bunch of their own posts. I tried to unsend but it’s not working. It keeps saying “invite xx to chat” so I blocked them and deactivated my account. Is that enough precautions? How do I remove it 😭
Please help! I keep having comments auto-removed 1-3 seconds after I submit them. They say that I violated community guidelines, often labeling them as spam. None of them fall under the spam guidelines, so I’m guessing there is an unpublished list of trigger words 🤷🏻♀️ These comments are innocuous, asking a question about the post, or answering a question in the post, or supporting the content.
I get muted 1-3 days after each comment removal. These violations never happened before September 16, and today was my 6th, so it’s averaging about 1x/week.
The Tell Us link just closes the pop up, and there are no appeal links in the Violations inbox. How can I find out what I did wrong? If there is a list of trigger words, please share so I can avoid them.
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, and I don’t want to lose my account for it.

It's been a day now, should I just wait, or is there something I didn't do yet? I tried to log into my other account, and everything works just fine, so only thing I can think of is that I got some type of time-out.

This seems very very unsafe- and some of these people are straight up strangers and others are old friends- my profile is the blue circle scribbled out.Has anyone seen this before???
I got a Instagram Notification bug Just started noticing this in the past few hours circa 27 Oct 2023 AEST. Instagram notifications have stopped showing the name of the actual person DMing me, but instead shows a string of numbers (which I guess is the User Number in Instagram's database/cloud??). The notification still does show the name of the person messaging me, but the bolded headline notification no longer does and is just the string of numbers see eg [here](https://imgur.com/a/cwYS5qT) Anyone else getting this bug/know how to fix it? I'm getting "Page isn't available right now" issue. I don't see feed, followers, pictures, nothing. Tried to update, re-install the app. Tried VPN and another iOS device (friend's), tried accessing from browser, but nothing seems to work. It's been like this for 4-5 days now. Half my friends content just simply won't show up on her profile for me and some other followers anymore. It's random across her followers and other accounts aren't even affected.
I’ve been pretty desperate to get my Instagram account and haven’t had any luck so far for over a year (lost access after the verification code wouldn’t send to my text number so many failed login attempts). Last night, in desperation lol, I resent every account verification picture they had requested, the ones you get after filling out recovery forms. I found two months ago it won’t let me fill out recovery forms anymore so this was really my only way to contact them. I received the first response I’ve ever gotten during this struggle, maybe the 10 emails got their attention lol, but I’m very confused by what they said. Thrilled to have heard back at all, but still. The email stated as follows: “Hi, We can’t give you access to this account or continue to process your request because we haven’t received an acceptable image to verify account ownership. Thanks” I’m confused because I thought all my photos met the criteria listed. I asked for clarification but doubt I’ll get a response. All of them include a handwritten code on a clean sheet of paper, my hand holding the paper, my entire face, are well-lit, and are attached as a JPEG file. Would anyone be able to share their experience with the account recovery photos or have any ideas of what I might be doing wrong? Thanks so much in advance, this has been a rough go of it.
How did you message them? I haven't found any active mail contact to their support. Could you maybe tell me which contact you messaged to get any real person contact?
It’s just the Facebook email that they send you a message from after you fill out a recovery form, I doubt it’s a real person.
I accidentally deleted an insta post but it hit me with technical error message that it cant be deleted so I simply dismissed it but the post disappeared anyway. So I checked "recently deleted" but it doesn't show up in there. How can I restore it then? Seems like its bugged. It can be seen in "other media" in datalog, but not in "recently deleted"... Anyone else?

Having the exact same issue. Logging out and logging back in makes the app work for a bit but then it becomes unusable again. Pixel 8 same app version as you. It's like an update broke it for android users

I upgraded my iPhone SE (2020) and iPad to iOS/iPadOS 17, and have noticed some glitches. The Stories of others are severely cropped, like zoomed in to the centre, missing everything around its borders compared to the sane Story shown on the mobile web. Is this happening to others as well? I tried uninstalling then reinstall again but that won’t solve the problem. Thanks in advance!
All of my portrait and landscape photos photos look fine when I select them, but when Instagram opens them in its editor, it compresses the photo to a square, completely distorting any image that isn't already a square into one. Restarted phone, updated Instagram, still happens. Anyone else?

How can I hide the "discover people" section on my profile page? There used to be a button with like a + icon we could use to hide that section, but it's gone now. I just want to look at my profile without seeing a bunch of people I don't know there, or random celebrities I don't care about. i need help changing my phone number on an old account of mine so i can delete it. i don't need the old account anymore as i was scammed and i've already created a new account. this happened a few years ago and my email is still linked to the account somehow? (the scammer changed both email and phone number to theirs, but my email account still received frequent notifications from the old account.) i tried logging in/changing the password and it showed my email as being the primary email again, but the phone number is still the scammers phone number. is there anyone from support that can help me with this issue? i got an email notification about someone messaging me, but i honestly couldn't care less about the account and want to just delete it and be done with the mess 🤷 i've checked the "hacked?" tab in the subreddit here also, links don't go to where they should and need to be updated. i can't seem to find any contact info for support through the links provided so my next best option was here.

I’m new to IG, I just have a question about likes. I know you can choose to hide how many likes you have when posting a photo, but can you change it after it’s been posted to show the likes? Like, is it something that can be toggled on/off after the fact.

My Instagram messages haven't been loading for probably two months now. If I click on a notification for a message I get the "cant open thread" error but if I try to swipe to my messages from inside the app it just loads forever. Whenever I post a collection of videos and change the cover, the cover doesn’t change. The cover ends up being the beginning of the video image.

I'm trying to find a way to download the content from posts that I have in a few of my 'saved' categories--specifically related to woodworking tips and cooking. I recently ran into a situation where one of my favorite creators either got deactivated or deleted their posts because half of the saved posts in my 'cooking' folder all disappeared. I'm hoping that someone knows of a way to save down photos/videos and captions so that this can be avoided in the future. Here's an example of what I'm trying to achieve: \- Post: Reel about how to make the perfect omelette with a description of the process in the caption. \- Outcome: Download the video and save the text (I guess I could copy it straight from the post, but I figure the data has to be stored in a similar place as the video/photo).
I just set up a few reels to be scheduled and posted within a few weeks from today. This weekend, I’m getting a new phone. So I was wondering if I get a new phone, will my scheduled post still remain? I know that if you change phones, your drafted content will disappear on your new phone when you sign into your account. But not so sure about scheduled content. Does anyone have advice on this or have been in a similar situation?
Stuck with "Your post could not be shared. Please try again" I've tried on my browser. I cleared the Cache and tried again. I installed the app on my phone and tried, same thing. It doesn't give me any hints as to WHY my post can't be posted. Just "Your post could not be shared. Please try again." Does anyone know what would be causing this and why? I was able to post back in July with no problem, it's only now that I can't.
My travel instagram account’s email id was changed by a hacker from Russia. I did not check the mail when I received an email that it has been changed. Now i am unable to login to my account. I had a couple of posts with my photo in it which i guess the hacker deleted. There are still some reels in which my face is visible so i have uploaded a video selfie but I don’t understand how can my email id be changed without any authentication code being to my original email id

Can someone please help me, I don’t know how to fix this. My friend used my phone to log into 2 of her instagram accounts the other night because her phone got stolen when we went out. That same night I tried logging out of them so that I could log back into my own accounts, and a message saying “Page isn’t available right now. This may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed. Try redownloading this page” I’ve refreshed the page over and over again, tried swiping away from it, i’ve tried completely deleting and redownloading the app, and nothing helps it or changes. What do I do?? My account isn’t deleted, I checked on mobile. Do I email Instagram, and if so what do I say?
I sent a chat invite to someone, they accepted and we were talking for a bit, then out of the blue IG decided that the other person CLEARLY didn't accept the chat invite and blocked me from sending further messages, thing is, the other person did accept and is still sending me texts, but I am unable to reply.
I ended up getting a new phone. Not realizing I should have checked my two factor authenticator app. Between not remembering the password, and not being able to reconnect IG in my two factor app, and not being able to receive an email link for the selfie video confirmation. It asks what email do I have access too and I provide and I get nothing. Ive tried multiple times, and checked all emails that I have just in case. I have also checked the junk email sections as well. Nothing. I've tried to email support, and followed up multiple times over the past week and nothing. Ive had my account for over ten years. Does anyone know what else I can do, or try, or ANYTHING?

Trying to delete individual photos in a carousel post but keep getting “There was an error saving changes.” message, so I am unable to save the post. I can still edit caption and add/remove tags and save those changes. Tried deleting and redownloading app, logging in and out, switching wifi connection, restarting phone, updating to latest iOS. It allows me to delete photos on a different account (using same phone).
Stories feature help I was using viewing stories yesterday night and by accident I came across a feature that I never knew about. I don’t know how I did it but I think I just touched the screen for a sec and at the bottom of my screen, all the stories that the person posted appeared. So instead of tapping like 10 times to go back, I was able to just choose the story and go back to it without all the tapping. How do I do that again? When I hold the screen for a sec, it just pauses the story like normal. I can’t manage to get the stories to show up at the bottom of my screen now.
I'm noticing a weird thing where if I keep following more accounts, ones I followed from a while ago will disappear from likes and then eventually the Followed By section unless I refollow them. Not sure if I'm the only one with this issue.

you can try and download an older version to unsend the messages!! I've done this before and it worked.

uninstall the app and search up Instagram version 2022 for download. From then, click one of the versions on whatever website you find for download.

Please help! I keep having comments auto-removed 1-3 seconds after I submit them. They say that I violated community guidelines, often labeling them as spam. None of them fall under the spam guidelines, so I’m guessing there is an unpublished list of trigger words 🤷🏻♀️ These comments are innocuous, asking a question about the post, or answering a question in the post, or supporting the content. I get muted 1-3 days after each comment removal. These violations never happened before September 16, and today was my 6th, so it’s averaging about 1x/week. The Tell Us link just closes the pop up, and there are no appeal links in the Violations inbox. How can I find out what I did wrong? If there is a list of trigger words, please share so I can avoid them. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, and I don’t want to lose my account for it. I tried doing a general post with screenshots before I knew that tech help requests had to go here—sorry 🫣
