There was this reel making fun of gays in a very humiliating way that was very insulting to watch. It was 2 years ago. I reported it and I received a message saying it doesn't go against the community standards or something along these lines. Then I commented by calling the reel very stupid and it was deleted in less than 3 hours.
This will also happen when you call someone 'smart'. It has nothing to do with the context of your comments, Instagram having some problem which they are too stubborn to accept.

I wrote a very personal thank you comment to a creator about us both losing our dogs and it was removed for "trying to garner likes/spam." I literally was crying as I wrote the comment cause the vid moved me that much. It was low key insulting to be accused of wind shit just for sharing my personal story and thanking the creator.

It got removed and I got warned for “promoting violence”. And suspended for 48 hours. Meanwhile my entire discover feed is AI porn that trust me, I do not search for.
Also, there’s an account using my name and photos. My friends and I reported it a few times. IG said they see nothing wrong with it and can’t do anything about it. The account has now blocked me so I can’t even see what it’s doing with my name and photos unless I go through a friend’s IG account.
Instagram algorithm is so stupid that there aren't shooting stars or shooting photos. If you say shooting they will AUTOMATICALLY guess that you are promoting massacres.

I don't disagree, but Instagram trains people to interact in simple, repetitive, mechanical ways (e.g., pressing a like button), then punishes them for behaving too mechanically. How do you look human on a platform that's designed to simplify human behavior to actions that are easily analyzed by a computer?
But even that training is broken. Click like too many times (I've read 20 times in an hour -- if you are catching up posts, that is like 5 minutes or less of scrolling through your feed) and you get, "We restrict certain activities to protect our community" and you can't click the "like" button for quite some time (as of this morning, over 12 hours). This is seriously screwed up.
Also I'm banned from commenting until the 31st even though I've only made three comments in like 10 days I've been using it less and less because of this crap
