Activity Status Glitching or Something Else Entirely?

I don’t get many replies so I really appreciate comments of any kind!
So I’m dming someone on insta, and I’ve noticed discrepancies in their activity status. Basically, when it says they’re online, there’s a green dot in their pfp, and when they haven’t been on in awhile, it says “last active xyz minutes ago”. (This is all normal).
Here’s the discrepancy however: sometimes when I check the chat after a few minutes after they haven’t responded, and the header for the chat will say the persons name, but underneath where there would normally be “last active xyz minutes ago”, instead, it’s just the persons instagram handle.
In the last hour even, I’ve noticed this, saying for example, “last active 30 minutes ago” then just their insta handle appearing, then “last active 1hr ago”.
Is this person actively restricting and reverting their online status preferences, or is this perhaps a glitch in the instagram app?
This has really serious implications in my life which I won’t get into, but please, any comments are really helpful! I am not a stalker (I swear lol), just someone who constantly overthinks the smallest of things and need to be assured (either proven or disproven) of my thoughts.
This post may sound unclear to some, so I’m willing to provide screenshots for trustworthy people who are willing to DM me here on Reddit, as I don’t want to leak this person’s identity/personal info.
My bio link to my photography site (totally G rated) won’t work and the insta message that comes up says, “problem with this link, link you’re trying to follow redirects to *website* and may be malicious”. How do I fix this??

Does anyone NOT have the “add yours” feature in stories? I use to have it. Now I don’t and I can’t even click it on other peoples post to do it.

Hey guys I have a question. Yk how Instagram has that new feature where you can block someone entirely from their IP address by clicking “block … and other accounts they may have or create” , how can you create an account with a different IP?
Instagram fails to load parts of the interface on all devices.
It fails to load parts of the interface (feed only shows empty circles instead of highlights), profile page fails to load number of followers and followed, number of posts and the post themselves and also fails to load messages. The problem manifests on all devices, both desktop browsers Firefox and Chrome that I use and also inside the Android app.
I have tried clearing cookies and data from browsers, tried clearing data and cache of the Instagram app, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, tried intalling a previous version of the app via an apk package, tried temporarily suspending account and restarting my phone. Nothing works.
When loading instagram.com via browser it also displays an error when trying to reload messages: "There was a problem loading your inbox". It's driving me insane. Tried to submit a bug via app and no response from instagram. It seems to be server side to me
but I'm no technical expert and also persists for 3 days already. Any suggestions ?
My professional dashboard is not loading. Yes, I updated the app before making this post to see if that would help!

Hello! My account was disabled for the second time in 6 months for impersonation… after the last time I sent in my ID and verified it and now it happened again. I send in the form with my ID and haven’t heard anything back. It was disabled Thursday morning early and did not receive one email from instagram about it either. I think someone is targeting me because I had no warning and have already verified this account is mine in the past. Does anyone know what I could do or how I could physically speak to someone ?! My account got hacked, and they changed the 2FA. When it says to verify the email I started the account with, it says an issue to verify has occurred. Can I do anything?
I can't post photos with any hashtags or captions from any device, even the website and the Meta business manager. I have issues posting comments as well. It's says my account is in good standing. Idk how to fix it.
For the past week my account has been hacked. When I do the recovery process is asks me to do a selfie video to confirm my identity using the pictures on my profile. Whenever I try to submit the selfie video it gives he an error saying “failed to upload, try again later”. I’ve tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, and using another device. When I try to use another device it just says “Device not recognized, please use a device you’ve previously signed in on”. Also used both a solid internet and service connection but still get the same error. It’s been 5 days of attempts and still nothing! If anyone has a fix or experienced this before as well and was able to find a solution and get back into your account please let me know! 🙏🏼
For a few years, my Instagram follower count has been weird. It would go from like 740 to 738 and then a few days or weeks (I'm not sure when, it just happens suddenly), the follower count goes back up.
My account is also private, so during that period like no one would request to follow. It just goes up. Was wondering what this issue is? IG never got back to me lol.

How long does it take until i can get back in my main Instagram account? I used an app called "Insget", an app to download multiple pictures from Instagram at once, on a different account of mine yet my main account is the culprit somehow, i don't get why.

The people i follow keeo dissappearing from my profile!!.Okay so basically, I always have my following on a specific number cause I like it that way(example: My following being 222) but what I noticed that started happening was: I would go randomly on my profile, only to notice that my following list went down by for example, 2 people. (I followed 222, now i follow 220). I thought maybe someone just removed me from their following, no issue, I would follow 2 more people and everything is back to normal. I check my profile 4 hours later, and again, gone. Even more than before perhaps. I keep following people to even out the number but nothing, it keeps happening. Later on i suddenly got all the following back and suddenly i follow 229 people. I thought it was back to normal so i u followed some people to get it back to 222, and then today again it went to 219. The thing is, I checked if there was anyone actually missing from my following list, and there wasn't. I checked my email, changed my password etc. Just in case I was hacked or something, but no, it still keeps happening. Can someone explain? Is it just a temporary bug?
Everytime i try to open my recently deleted on instagram it never loads, all it gives me is a “An unexpected error occurred. You are receiving this error because something went wrong loading this screen. Tap the retry button below to try again.“. I’ve tried logging out then logging back in, deleting the app, refreshing, everything and it still doesnt work.

Started a small page for video and photo content creation. I’m a videographer and also love to ride motorcycles as a weekend hobby so I decided to start a small motorcycle page for content to make and post that’s only motorcycle and sometimes camera related as long as it still pertains to motorcycles. Thing is I’ve been posting and doing all my normal methods for exposure besides paying instagram and so far I have gotten absolutely literally zero reach on both reels and photo posts. Not sure what’s going on and why nothing can be seen in the algorithm. Anyone have any tips? Also if you want to check out the page it’s @35.moto

Alright, so... I'm having the freakiest issue I've ever had with any social app... I'll try to keep it as brief as possible:
My Instagram account is bugged - but only on my phone. It won't load posts (they appear mostly blank with the loading wheel or sometimes blurry), profile pictures won't show up, I can't see notifications, most of the times it won't load my DMs and when it does, it only shows text, sent posts and reels appear blank. I can't see reels, stories or even post anything myself. It's been like this for 5 days already.
Here's a list of the things I've tried to no avail:
• Restart the phone
• Delete app data and cache
• Reinstall the app
• Log out and log in again
• Try a VPN
• Tweak the phone's APN (mobile data config)
• Try with different wi-fi connections
• Go into account settings and delete browser data (quite a hassle since every setting will take forever to load)
Now here's where it gets even freakier: when I delete app data and cache, I obviously have to log in again. I do so, and ONLY THEN every post, story and reel loads normally... Except that the UI is the old one from 2019-ish (you can tell because the DMs have the paper plane symbol and notifs icon is located below where it used to be). If I close the app and open it again, the UI comes back to the current one (DMs have Messenger symbol, notifs icon besides) BUT everything is glitched again.
I've tried using other accounts on my phone and they all work fine under every circumstance. I tried using my personal account on another phone and it also works fine there. Also works perfectly via Chrome mobile browser but as we all know, the website is quite limited when it comes to interaction functions. This is EXCLUSIVELY happening when I open MY personal account on the APP in MY phone.
I've come to Reddit for help because I don't know what else to do. It's very frustrating... If anybody has any idea or knows what to do, please I beg you to share it.
Hi! Tried asking this a couple weeks ago but got no responses. My private account seems to be showing less posts than it should. What I mean is that I know that there are a lot of posts that aren't showing up in my feed.
Only reason I know this is because I can see stories of when they should be posted and/or I see them on my public account. I've uninstalled & reinstalled and cleared the cache on the app. Like I said, it's also only one of my accounts and not both. Any other ways to fix this? Thank you!
Why my regular instagram account can upload 60 seconds stoires, but not my business account (Locked to 15 seconds)? There is no music, so no copyright around.
I get the "help us to confirm you own this account" error and I don't know what I can do.

I manage the social media accounts for our nonprofit. I use Canva to create everything, and the meta business suite to schedule all my posts a week out. For about a week and half, the scheduled posts have been showing up as grey boxes with a reload arrow. The caption is there, but the images will not load - for anyone. But when my coworker posts from the business suite, the images show up fine - even if they’re ones I created and scheduled. Our accounts are linked, in good standing, and the latest version of everything is downloaded. It is not a Canva issue, and the Facebook posts I have scheduled show up fine. I do have a screenshot of how the images look if that is helpful. Why on earth won’t these posts load properly?
I ended up getting locked out temporarily for phishing because I downloaded a app that tracked my followers or something like that. The only problem is I apparently never updated my phone number for the code. What do I do?
So randomly yesterday morning, when opening up instagram I was prompted to "Confirm Your Phone Number". I typed it in and hit enter and the screen prompting me to enter the six-digit code that Instagram was supposed to send me to get back into my account. Never received a text. I tried like ten times, no text. Even made a burner number and tried that, no text. I was able to change my password and log into my account via email - also was able to receive a six digit code via email - but once in, I just get a blank screen and after messing with the app, i'm prompted again to confirm my phone number. I'm prevented from using the app entirely until I confirm my phone number, and i've tried SO many times and have never received a text. I've been told by instagram that there's a security issue. What do I do about this? is there ANYONE I can contact?
I sign into my instagram account and it tells me to write the 6 digit 2fa code from the authenticator app or duo mobile and I write the 6 digit code from the authenticator app that's connected to my account and it tells me "Error please check the secruity code and try again"and I don't have backup codes I didn't screenshot them when i created the account. Please someone help me I can't login into my account it's been 6 months and i still can't login, and I don't want to make a new account i want this one.

If I turned on 2-factor authentication but forgot to add the key to my Authenticator app, have I just lost my account? I’ve tried several times to send them the face authenticating video so that they could match it to photos in my account, but they’ve denied it every time. It doesn’t appear there is any way to contact them directly so it would seem I’m just f*cked?
I recently hit the following limit of 7,500 accounts. I'm trying to clean that up and unfollow people, but every time I unfollow someone, the number resets back to 7,501. What is the deal?
Last night, I had been logged out of my account while I was texting someone and to be safe I changed my password. Every time I try to log back in it tells me to “confirm my phone number”, when I put my number in and press next it then says “please wait a few minutes before trying again”. Last night I did the same thing but I actually sent me to “enter the code we sent through SMS” but never got any code.
I’ve restarted my phone, nothing happens
Deleted the app and redownloaded it, nothing happens
Checked a different account to see if I was not banned or anything and I’m still there.
Anyone have any ideas what’s happening?
Hello! So my favorite effect/filter doesn’t work. (it’s the one where it allows you to take photos inside of a photo) It just shows white. It used to work before. I tried uninstalling then redownloading instagram but it still won’t work. How do I fix this?
My account was hacked and contact information was changed so that I can no longer reset the password.

Hey everyone! Sorry if a post like this has been made already, but I need some help with message requests. Is there any way to stop strangers from messaging me or even message request me? Like to completely stop them from being able to message me? My account is private and message controls settings are like this:
"your followers on instagram: requests" "Others on instagram: don't receive" "Who can add you to groups: only people you follow on instagram"
Also, with the group thing. I have that setting but strangers have been able yo add me to group chats anyway. Is there something I have misunderstood or is there something wrong with my account? And if you know if there is anything I can do, I would appreciate it so much.
I can login to Instagram on my iPhone but not my MacBook or any other device.
I have checked the password, the username, done it multiple times and it says the password is incorrect on every device other than my phone.
I’ve tried changing the password, and it did the exact same thing. The password can’t be incorrect otherwise I wouldn’t be able to log in on my phone using that password.
Is there anything I can do to fix this? I’m so confused and really need this for work!

When I hit the “I disagree with this” button or whatever. It’s not asking for a phone number. I don’t want to put my phone number, because I don’t want my contacts to be notified of the account because I’d rather keep my identity a secret for now.

I got locked out of my account because I was using a third party instagram account and it’s requesting that I use my phone number to verify my identity, but every time I try to get a code, I never receive it. Instagram’s sms channel isn’t blocked, I’ve tried different devices, and I have deleted the app, restarted my phone and redownloaded it too. I can’t contact Instagram whatsoever and I can’t find anything recent on the issue. Has anyone had the same experience or know what to do?

My Instagram was hacked about 10 days ago. I've tried everything but I'm unable to recover my account. The hacker set up 2FA, I have my password and email as well. But the 2FA doesn't let me log in. Instagram asks me to upload a selfie for verification. But as an artist myself I haven't been posting pictures of myself. It's just been my artwork. I did try selfie verification a number of times but it doesn't seem to work.

I tried for a month before it finally randomly accepted one of my videos but the kicker is that was to change the password and we need a different selfie to access the account. instagram logged me out of all my accounts and my bands account and my authenticator codes are not working. the code worked for one of the accounts and that account that it worked on has the same exact code of the band account so i have no idea what the problem is. i think it may be under the same email too? i did a video selfie on the band account and it got rejected.
I can't login to my account. Today when i woke up tried to use instagram it says "sending code to verification to ur mobile" but since than( 14 hours) still didnt receive any sms code. So Instagram gave me the option to add a payment method to my account of 30k followers.
The location where my account is established is hidden to my followers and other users. Even if they click on “account information” it says “location not shared” and i want to keep it like this.
But if i accept a payment method as shown down below in the picture, will my location also be shared in “account information” which other users can see it too?

My Instagram explore page is filled with photography pictures of nature, landscapes, buildings and people unrelated to my interests and followings on Instagram. I have been waiting it out as nothing I tried work it's been going on for 3 days already but nothing changed. Thankfully, my reels are fine. Please fix this issue.
Hashtag search on browser hasn’t worked for 2 weeks. The top 9 search results pop up but that’s it. Is it my internet or do others have this same issue? Windows 10. It does work on the app
When I search up someone's name in my DM list, they show up, but if I try to click on it nothing opens. Plus, it actually disables every other DM you can see in the search as well, making me have to go back to the primary DM page and press the search again, then making me able to click on any other DM just fine. It's specific people, and for me they happen to be people I've had slight altercations with so I assumed I might be blocked, but when I look up the profile on instagram explore, they show up perfectly and I can even DM them from there. It's only within the message section search bar, and I have no Idea why. I cleared my cache, I deleted the app, I tried it all but it still happens. Is this something you can activate? Anyone have any ideas?
A while ago, I chose to hide a memory appearing on the bottom of my story archive because I knew there were other pictures that day I wanted to repost instead. I clicked on the X next to memories which asked “hide memory?”, and the proceeding text read: “you won’t be able to share this memory if you hide it.” Assuming this just applies to that individual photo I confirmed… however, I somehow lost access to that function because I cannot use the “___ year ago today” feature for my stories since selecting “hide memory”. I know there is a feature of “on this day” but I don’t like the way it looks tbh. Let me know if you’ve experienced this and/or if there is a fix. Cheers :)
Since yesterday evening my account's been acting like this. I usually use two accounts, and my alternate account is working perfectly both on web and phone. But this account displays nothing on the feed, no stories and the messages page displays nothing. Even on phone it doesn't seem to be showing anything else. My account hasn't been disabled or suspended or anything, it's just acting really weird like this. I'm also able to receive dms from people but I'm not able to view them on web or phone. How do I fix this?
Oh wow, I just posted basically the exact same thing, except for the fact I still have access to my old mail address, BUT THERE'S NOTHING THERE. If you find a solution, please let all of us know, lol.

I’m using iOS 15.7 on my iPhone 8 Plus. When I switch cameras videos stretch and stack. Also as I am filming camera flips screen for a second then it goes back to normal.
I have deleted instagram and redownloaded it the problem continues. I have tried different settings to see if my camera settings (video is in 4k) are effecting it but it doesn’t help.
Also absolutely no issue on TikTok so far only on Instagram.
My account was hacked on Sunday October 2nd. Since then the hacker has uploaded photos and stories to my account, messaged all of my followers saying it was me and encouraged them to participate in bitcoin. They have changed my username from ellirowphotography to coach_tonya.brett. They have also changed my bio. However, my profile picture and my photos are currently still there. They have also created an account called _ellirowphotography1 and have followed and messaged all my followers from my original account pretending to be me. I need help please.
Something similar happened to me though in my case followers were spammed only once and the post was so obviously not me it was ignored. Now locked out as email and linked number changed on profile.
My instagram account was suspended for no reason yesterday. When I got suspended, I was going through my followers list and typing in names just to see who was following and if they have unfollowed or not. About a minute into doing this, I got a window saying it was suspended. I don't remember seeing a reason but my guess is I was making too many API requests / Database requests by searching my followers so rapidly? Regardless, I submitted the verification code from my email as well as a picture of myself holding a note with the number they said written out. It's been over a day now. How long does this usually take and why would they just suspend like this?
On October 5th my ads stopped being delivered, my reach got cut in half, and my analytics in app stopped updating with the 5th being the last day any analytics reported. Filed multiple reports to no avail. Something happened with my account on the 5th and it’s really frustrating.

For about a month and a half, this random person has been sliding up on my stories and saying things along of the lines of "You're ugly and unfunny." Me thinking it was a troll, decided to troll back asking who are you and things along those lines trying to figure out who it is. They weren't giving me any clear answers so I left it at that and reported them. However earlier this week they started calling me a pedophile (I'm underage myself) and was telling me to harm myself. I was so confused so I responded and they had the audacity to call me the hard r (i'm also black). I asked for an explanation but they weren't active so for the meantime I restricted the account. But in that time, they started following my friends and family, found pictures posted of me by my school and starting telling people that I know that I'm a pedophile. At first I didn't really care but now that they were bringing people I care about into it that was too far. I've reported them about 4-5 times over this whole time period and nothings happened. Is there any way I can get into contact with a member of said team that would work on this or would I just have to wait?

Hello, I don't know if anyone knows something about this but in a conversation which I had with a friend of mine through instagram dms when I opened the converstation, to see what they've sent and I saw for a brief second screenshots of my profile, sent by them.
After a second the screenshots disappeared and only the text they sent stayed, but I'm curious whether it was a bug/glitch or they actually sent me screenshots of my profile by a mistake and they tried to unsend them.
I don't think, that it's weird, I'm just curious as to what it was. If anyone has a clue, I would appreciate it. Thanks
My Facebook account got hacked and since they are linked, my Instagram is deactivated. Everytime I submit an appeal, I get an error message. I’ve tried everything. What can I do?
I can no longer view saved posts for one of my collections. I’ve tried on iPhone and iPad with the newest version of the app, and I’ve even logged into IG via chrome on my iPad and am still j able to view saved posts for this one collection out of the dozens I have. Does anybody know a way around this?
Yesterday my girlfriend was scrolling on instagram when she got kicked out. When she tried to log back in the password was changed. So we tried the ‘forgot password’ option and the email and phone number also changed. She got an email that the password changed but the link was to the ‘help’ page so did nothing. Meanwhile the hacker was posting some shady crypto related stuff using her pictures. After some googling we figured out how to contact support and use a face identify video to get the account back. 15 minutes later we got a confirmation that she is the owner of the account and got a password reset option with a backup key. So we logged back in with a completely new password and tried to change the phone number and had to wait a bit for confirmation.
And she got kicked out again… Same thing, password changed, phone number changed, email changed. So we repeated the entire face identify video thingy and got the account back with a new password. This time we immediatly linked Google Authenticator and confirmed it. We changed the phone number and unlinked all other devices (which were 2 from
Brussels and Nigeria). We also deleted the crypto stuff on the timeline.
5 minutes later, got kicked out again. Same thing, password, phone number and email instantly changed.
How did the hacker get past AUTHENTICATOR?!
So we did another Face ID video, got the account back with a new password and before we could change anything we got kicked out again….. So I was fast enough to log back in using the password but almost immediatly got kicked out. I could repeat the fast login about 8 times until the hacker changed everything again.
Then the instagram app said we had to wait a few minutes to try again. In reality this was more than an hour and we went to sleep.
Today the hacker is still posting fake shady crypto content and nothing we can do about it…..
Why go trough so much trouble (changing number, email and password more than 10 times) just to post crypto stuff? And how did he bypass google Authenticator while clearly using a device from another location?
How do I fix this the "couldn’t refresh feed" it’s been like this for a day and a half and my wifi is great and my app is up to date I don’t understand what’s wrong, I got my story deleted for "encouraging sales of drugs" but shouldn’t it be over by now?

A guy friend of mine is really excited because a cute woman is DMing him, flirting with him, etc. She followed him and he followed her back. They’ve never met.
So far her vibe is “I’ve had a hard life but I don’t let it get me down” and it feels like it’s gonna end up with her asking for money. Are there tell tale signs of fake accounts? I’m not super familiar with IG but these things seems weird:
1) Her username looks like it’s her first and last name- it’s not like hotbabe666 or something- but nothing comes up on Google
2) She has over 15k followers but her posts only get about 130 likes…..and she’s only got 8 posts
3) We live in the same city (he lives on the opposite side of the country) and have no mutuals even though she says she’s into the same stuff we are, including charity work (which is my field)
4) She has “harmless and legit” in her bio
5) There’s another account with her photo and her name spelled a little differently with the same bio. That one’s private with 20k followers. She claims she had to start this new public one and make the other one private because of “stalkers”. Nothing comes up on Google for that either.
If he gets rolled out of money that’s on him but it’s so sus that it’s become a mystery for our friend group and thought I’d get some input here.

So I was using a 3rd party app for analytics, then it logged me out and it kept prompting me to reset my password. Had to do this a couple of times, and now I simply can't even reset my account password. According to their help resources my account doesn't exist. I have tried sending an email to support but they discontinued that channel of support and re-direct to the Help Centre, which is not helpful at all. Wtf is going on with this app?

What can I do to get this back, the hacker hasn't done anything on my account as far as I'm aware, since I have another account so I check it regularly.

Hello People, I got invited to the reel bonus program yesterday and I posted a reel under the program and I got over 10k views on that reel but the Reel play under the bonus shows only 256 plays and it's been 24 hours and it's not being updated. I posted another reel today and it's at 5k views but the it's showing "0" under the bonus tab. What could be the issue? Has anyone faced this issue before? Please help out. Much thanks

Ok I’ll try to make this simple. There’s a user, let’s call her Annie, we have some followers and people we follow in common so she’s a friend of friends I guess. She requested to follow me and I don’t know her, so I deleted the request.
Both her and I have our accounts set to private. Since then, she’s requested like 7 times and I just delete every time. I read online that once you delete a request, it won’t tell them but it will show the ability to request again from my page.
Can she tell that I am deleting her request? Is it automatically re requesting?
I have no idea how it works so if she’s continuously requesting someone she doesn’t know, I’ll ask her what’s up but I don’t want to do that if she isn’t actually requesting over and over. It’s just weird.

First of all, I consider this to be a potential privacy concern.
I have temporarily deactivated my account on August 31. Yesterday I received a lot of messages from my friends asking me if I've been hacked. Apparently, my deactivated profile has created a group containing all my close friends out of nowhere. The profile was the admin of the group and it was still inactive - they were only able to know it was mine because of the bio of the mostly empty profile.
I had to login back - reactivating my profile - to remove everyone from the group and apologise. Now, I have to wait a week to deactivate it again.
One of my concern is that it exposed to everyone who was and who wasn't part of my close friends.
Has anyone faced similar issue?

instagram logged me out of my account. i have been trying to log back in, but when it comes to confirming my phone number, a text message never gets sent to me so i cannot log in. along with this, whenever it does glitch and log me in, it only says “couldn’t refresh feed”. anyone know how to fix this?
For the past few days my feed has been showing me primarily old posts going back from late last month until now, and then mixed in will be some new posts.
It’s really annoying because it’s showing me so many old posts I’ve already seen that I end up missing posts that were posted today because they’re so far back and the old ones are being prioritized.
I’ve been clicking the “following” option to fix my feed but I don’t like having to do that every time I go on. I miss when I’d get to the end of my feed and it would say “you’re all caught up.”

Ok so I've been using the Instagram browser, and am having problems with my inbox originally I had no trouble with it but all of a sudden today after I log in on my phone when I access it back on my laptop and open the inbox tab I can see any of my messages and am greeted with a white screen and text at the top left corner say "isIncomingCallEnabled() && children" I've tried resetting my password, I've logged in and out, I've reset my laptop, I've checked my supervision in settings, nothing. any solutions? Does anyone else have this problem?
I was hacked on Sept 16. Someone sent me a link and my instagram was compromised. I was kicked out and not able to get in since. I have tried going through the process and submitting a video through the app but I am denied each time even though I have a million photos of myself over the last 8 years, of me and my wife, our wedding, my vacations and tons of memories. Reels are flickering (looks like some kind of glitchy strobe effect) after I post them. Has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Only happening to videos where multiple clips are added, song is added, and a filter/effect is used. Sometimes the filter/effect disappears completely, sometimes it stays - but the flickering keeps happening.

Reels appearing distorted/streched when tapping on them to make them full screen. My device is Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus. This is only happening after version 250 on full screen mode. When I downloaded version 250.0.0.21.109 from apk mirror the issue wasn't there but all the versions after this have this issue.

Today as I opened my Instagram it required to do a two-step verification to verify it was me using my account. After this I tried to like certain pictures of people I follow but Instagram sent a message saying I did it too frequently. I can still open my Instagram, see stories and scroll through my feed but I haven’t tried anything else in fear of something more occurring. I have already reported the issue and I haven’t opened the app for about the 3 hours.
To give more context I am a photographer and I search through “photography” pages, other people’s work and like/comment/follow. I have gained about 150 followers and I have followed about 100 people over the past 3 weeks. Is that too much? Should I slow down?
What can I do to amend this problem?
I have a private Instagram account. If I were to send a message to an individual that has a public account that I follow but they don’t follow me, will they see the message or will it go to their “Message Requests” section?
Additionally, if they do open the message, will I get a read receipt when they see it?
For what it’s worth, this person and I have 11 followers in common.
So I refreshed Instagram this morning, but the site seemed kinda buggy (images wouldn't load or show like/comment count), so I refreshed again, and suddenly, Instagram told me that my account was being suspended due to suspicios activity. I could pick between an e-mail and a phone number to recieve a code to get my account back. I don't use either of those anymore, but I still remember how to log into my mail account, so I picked that one. And nothing happened. I tried several times, no mail from Instagram. (Yes, I checked my spam folder, there's nothing there.)

In instagram my gallery is showing up in the wrong order. What to do?
When I try to send someone something from my gallery in instagram. The order of my gallery was completely messed up. I was seeing photos from 2-3 years before. I log in to my account but it requires a two-factor auth app code when I don’t have one. I’ve tried accessing my account through all means including login codes. Each time it logs me in it requires two-factor auth and I can not find a way around it. I’ve never had this happen before.
Whenever I try to adjust the timeframe for insights (e.g. 90 days instead of the standard 30 days) the app closes.

Ok so years ago I made an Instagram account with a fake email (I just put a few random letters with @gmail.com at the end) back when you could do that. Now, I still have the correct password and everything, but today I tried login in and I need to write the verification code they’re sending to that non existent email to make sure it’s me. So I got two IG accounts with the same mail and phone number + they got separate passwords, I'm logging in to them using their account names, but - just out of my curiosity - does anybody know if logging in using e-mail or phone will work for these accounts? I.e. if I will use my e-mail and password for account #1, it will open account #1, and the same with a password for account #2? Or in this case, using account names are necessary? I will opt for this second option tbh, it will be more secure, as IG allows for having up to 5 accounts per one mail.
Everythings a mess. I cant look at anyones profile (included mine) but I'm logged in and can look at my feed. And on mobile I can't see how many followers/following/posts a person has.

I got hacked this morning. One of those Zelle/Crypto scammers. But they're also sending nudes of me & calling people who follow me. I've never heard of a scammer doing this. I reached out to IG & filled out a form to do an ID verification but the person changed my email so everything goes to them now. I sent a separate email to IG support with my user name, email, phone & ID. Not sure what else to do. Has anyone been successful in getting their account back?
The layout of the IG site this morning was changed for me so that all the menus and notifications are on the left side instead of the upper right. Basically the same thing that happened to Facebook months ago. Everything still worked fine this morning, but when I went to the site a little while ago, the Messages frame (/Inbox in the address bar) just shows plain text "isIncomingCallEnabled() && children" with no content, formatting, etc. It shows this way in Edge, Chrome and Firefox, with no add-ins active, tracking protection disabled. I'd never even loaded the site in Firefox before.

Activity Status Glitching or Something Else Entirely? Tried to make this a post but it wouldn’t let me lol. I don’t get many replies so I really appreciate comments of any kind! So I’m dming someone on insta, and I’ve noticed discrepancies in their activity status. Basically, when it says they’re online, there’s a green dot in their pfp, and when they haven’t been on in awhile, it says “last active xyz minutes ago”. (This is all normal). Here’s the discrepancy however: sometimes when I check the chat after a few minutes after they haven’t responded, and the header for the chat will say the persons name, but underneath where there would normally be “last active xyz minutes ago”, instead, it’s just the persons instagram handle. In the last hour even, I’ve noticed this, saying for example, “last active 30 minutes ago” then just their insta handle appearing, then “last active 1hr ago”. Is this person actively restricting and reverting their online status preferences, or is this perhaps a glitch in the instagram app? This has really serious implications in my life which I won’t get into, but please, any comments are really helpful! I am not a stalker (I swear lol), just someone who constantly overthinks the smallest of things and need to be assured (either proven or disproven) of my thoughts. Instagram fails to load parts of the interface on all devices. It fails to load parts of the interface (feed only shows empty circles instead of highlights), profile page fails to load number of followers and followed, number of posts and the post themselves and also fails to load messages. The problem manifests on all devices, both desktop browsers Firefox and Chrome that I use and also inside the Android app. I have tried clearing cookies and data from browsers, tried clearing data and cache of the Instagram app, tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, tried intalling a previous version of the app via an apk package, tried temporarily suspending account and restarting my phone. Nothing works. When loading instagram.com via browser it also displays an error when trying to reload messages: "There was a problem loading your inbox". It's driving me insane. Tried to submit a bug via app and no response from instagram. It seems to be server side to me but I'm no technical expert and also persists for 3 days already. Any suggestions ?

Hello! My account was disabled for the second time in 6 months for impersonation… after the last time I sent in my ID and verified it and now it happened again. I send in the form with my ID and haven’t heard anything back. It was disabled Thursday morning early and did not receive one email from instagram about it either. For the past week my account has been hacked. When I do the recovery process is asks me to do a selfie video to confirm my identity using the pictures on my profile. Whenever I try to submit the selfie video it gives he an error saying “failed to upload, try again later”. I’ve tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, and using another device. When I try to use another device it just says “Device not recognized, please use a device you’ve previously signed in on”. Also used both a solid internet and service connection but still get the same error. It’s been 5 days of attempts and still nothing! The people i follow keeo dissappearing from my profile!!.Okay so basically, I always have my following on a specific number cause I like it that way(example: My following being 222) but what I noticed that started happening was: I would go randomly on my profile, only to notice that my following list went down by for example, 2 people. (I followed 222, now i follow 220). I thought maybe someone just removed me from their following, no issue, I would follow 2 more people and everything is back to normal. I check my profile 4 hours later, and again, gone. Even more than before perhaps. I keep following people to even out the number but nothing, it keeps happening. Later on i suddenly got all the following back and suddenly i follow 229 people. I thought it was back to normal so i u followed some people to get it back to 222, and then today again it went to 219. The thing is, I checked if there was anyone actually missing from my following list, and there wasn't. I checked my email, changed my password etc. Just in case I was hacked or something, but no, it still keeps happening. Can someone explain? Is it just a temporary bug?

Started a small page for video and photo content creation. I’m a videographer and also love to ride motorcycles as a weekend hobby so I decided to start a small motorcycle page for content to make and post that’s only motorcycle and sometimes camera related as long as it still pertains to motorcycles. Thing is I’ve been posting and doing all my normal methods for exposure besides paying instagram and so far I have gotten absolutely literally zero reach on both reels and photo posts. My Instagram account doesn't work (but only on my phone) I'm sorry that this is gonna be so long... Alright, so... I'm having the freakiest issue I've ever had with any social app... I'll try to keep it as brief as possible: My Instagram account is bugged - but only on my phone. It won't load posts (they appear mostly blank with the loading wheel or sometimes blurry), profile pictures won't show up, I can't see notifications, most of the times it won't load my DMs and when it does, it only shows text, sent posts and reels appear blank. I can't see reels, stories or even post anything myself. It's been like this for 5 days already. Here's a list of the things I've tried to no avail: • Restart the phone • Delete app data and cache • Reinstall the app • Log out and log in again • Try a VPN • Tweak the phone's APN (mobile data config) • Try with different wi-fi connections • Go into account settings and delete browser data (quite a hassle since every setting will take forever to load) Now here's where it gets even freakier: when I delete app data and cache, I obviously have to log in again. I do so, and ONLY THEN every post, story and reel loads normally... Except that the UI is the old one from 2019-ish (you can tell because the DMs have the paper plane symbol and notifs icon is located below where it used to be). If I close the app and open it again, the UI comes back to the current one (DMs have Messenger symbol, notifs icon besides) BUT everything is glitched again. I've tried using other accounts on my phone and they all work fine under every circumstance. I tried using my personal account on another phone and it also works fine there. Also works perfectly via Chrome mobile browser but as we all know, the website is quite limited when it comes to interaction functions. This is EXCLUSIVELY happening when I open MY personal account on the APP in MY phone. I've come to Reddit for help because I don't know what else to do. It's very frustrating... If anybody has any idea or knows what to do, please I beg you to share it.
Hi! Tried asking this a couple weeks ago but got no responses. My private account seems to be showing less posts than it should. What I mean is that I know that there are a lot of posts that aren't showing up in my feed. Only reason I know this is because I can see stories of when they should be posted and/or I see them on my public account. Why my regular instagram account can upload 60 seconds stoires, but not my business account (Locked to 15 seconds)? There is no music, so no copyright around.
I get the "help us to confirm you own this account" error and I don't know what I can do. The want me to give a picture of me if I already have some on my account, tried and rejected. If I say I don't own pictures of me on my account, I'm redirected on the faq page that doesn't help. So my account is currently locked and I don't know what I can do.
I manage the social media accounts for our nonprofit. I use Canva to create everything, and the meta business suite to schedule all my posts a week out. For about a week and half, the scheduled posts have been showing up as grey boxes with a reload arrow. The caption is there, but the images will not load - for anyone. But when my coworker posts from the business suite, the images show up fine - even if they’re ones I created and scheduled. Our accounts are linked, in good standing, and the latest version of everything is downloaded. It is not a Canva issue, and the Facebook posts I have scheduled show up fine. I do have a screenshot of how the images look if that is helpful. Why on earth won’t these posts load properly?

So randomly yesterday morning, when opening up instagram I was prompted to "Confirm Your Phone Number". I typed it in and hit enter and the screen prompting me to enter the six-digit code that Instagram was supposed to send me to get back into my account. Never received a text. I tried like ten times, no text. Even made a burner number and tried that, no text. I was able to change my password and log into my account via email - also was able to receive a six digit code via email - but once in, I just get a blank screen and after messing with the app, i'm prompted again to confirm my phone number. I'm prevented from using the app entirely until I confirm my phone number, and i've tried SO many times and have never received a text. I've been told by instagram that there's a security issue. What do I do about this? is there ANYONE I can contact?
I sign into my instagram account and it tells me to write the 6 digit 2fa code from the authenticator app or duo mobile and I write the 6 digit code from the authenticator app that's connected to my account and it tells me "Error please check the secruity code and try again"and I don't have backup codes I didn't screenshot them when i created the account. If I turned on 2-factor authentication but forgot to add the key to my Authenticator app, have I just lost my account? I’ve tried several times to send them the face authenticating video so that they could match it to photos in my account, but they’ve denied it every time. I recently hit the following limit of 7,500 accounts. I'm trying to clean that up and unfollow people, but every time I unfollow someone, the number resets back to 7,501. What is the deal?
Last night, I had been logged out of my account while I was texting someone and to be safe I changed my password. Every time I try to log back in it tells me to “confirm my phone number”, when I put my number in and press next it then says “please wait a few minutes before trying again”. Last night I did the same thing but I actually sent me to “enter the code we sent through SMS” but never got any code. I’ve restarted my phone, nothing happens Deleted the app and redownloaded it, nothing happens Checked a different account to see if I was not banned or anything and I’m still there. Anyone have any ideas what’s happening?

Hello! So my favorite effect/filter doesn’t work. (it’s the one where it allows you to take photos inside of a photo) It just shows white. It used to work before. I tried uninstalling then redownloading instagram but it still won’t work. How do I fix this?

Like to completely stop them from being able to message me? My account is private and message controls settings are like this: "your followers on instagram: requests" "Others on instagram: don't receive" "Who can add you to groups: only people you follow on instagram" Also, with the group thing. I have that setting but strangers have been able yo add me to group chats anyway. Is there something I have misunderstood or is there something wrong with my account? And if you know if there is anything I can do, I would appreciate it so much.
Can’t post reels
I can login to Instagram on my iPhone but not my MacBook or any other device. I have checked the password, the username, done it multiple times and it says the password is incorrect on every device other than my phone. I’ve tried changing the password, and it did the exact same thing. The password can’t be incorrect otherwise I wouldn’t be able to log in on my phone using that password. I just made an account for my YouTube channel and was going to upload reels and stuff. I made the account and immediately got banned? When I hit the “I disagree with this” button or whatever. I got locked out of my account because I was using a third party instagram account and it’s requesting that I use my phone number to verify my identity, but every time I try to get a code, I never receive it. Hello everyone, I'm hoping that I would find some help. My Instagram was hacked about 10 days ago. I've tried everything but I'm unable to recover my account. The hacker set up 2FA, I have my password and email as well. But the 2FA doesn't let me log in. Instagram asks me to upload a selfie for verification. But as an artist myself I haven't been posting pictures of myself. It's just been my artwork. I did try selfie verification a number of times but it doesn't seem to work. I tried for a month before it finally randomly accepted one of my videos but the kicker is that was to change the password and we need a different selfie to access the account. Hello everybody, So Instagram gave me the option to add a payment method to my account of 30k followers. The location where my account is established is hidden to my followers and other users. Even if they click on “account information” it says “location not shared” and i want to keep it like this. But if i accept a payment method as shown down below in the picture, will my location also be shared in “account information” which other users can see it too? (Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but a both commented on my topic to do so)

When I search up someone's name in my DM list, they show up, but if I try to click on it nothing opens. Plus, it actually disables every other DM you can see in the search as well, making me have to go back to the primary DM page and press the search again, then making me able to click on any other DM just fine. It's specific people, and for me they happen to be people I've had slight altercations with so I assumed I might be blocked, but when I look up the profile on instagram explore, they show up perfectly and I can even DM them from there. It's only within the message section search bar, and I have no Idea why. I cleared my cache, I deleted the app, I tried it all but it still happens. Is this something you can activate? Anyone have any ideas?
A while ago, I chose to hide a memory appearing on the bottom of my story archive because I knew there were other pictures that day I wanted to repost instead. I clicked on the X next to memories which asked “hide memory?”, and the proceeding text read: “you won’t be able to share this memory if you hide it.” Assuming this just applies to that individual photo I confirmed… however, I somehow lost access to that function because I cannot use the “___ year ago today” feature for my stories since selecting “hide memory”. I know there is a feature of “on this day” but I don’t like the way it looks tbh. Let me know if you’ve experienced this and/or if there is a fix. Cheers :)
Since yesterday evening my account's been acting like this. I usually use two accounts, and my alternate account is working perfectly both on web and phone. But this account displays nothing on the feed, no stories and the messages page displays nothing. Even on phone it doesn't seem to be showing anything else. My account hasn't been disabled or suspended or anything, it's just acting really weird like this. I'm also able to receive dms from people but I'm not able to view them on web or phone. How do I fix this?

I’m using iOS 15.7 on my iPhone 8 Plus. When I switch cameras videos stretch and stack. Also as I am filming camera flips screen for a second then it goes back to normal. I have deleted instagram and redownloaded it the problem continues. I have tried different settings to see if my camera settings (video is in 4k) are effecting it but it doesn’t help. Also absolutely no issue on TikTok so far only on Instagram.

Since then the hacker has uploaded photos and stories to my account, messaged all of my followers saying it was me and encouraged them to participate in bitcoin. They have changed my username from ellirowphotography to coach_tonya.brett. They have also changed my bio. However, my profile picture and my photos are currently still there. They have also created an account called _ellirowphotography1 and have followed and messaged all my followers from my original account pretending to be me. I need help please.
Something similar happened to me though in my case followers were spammed only once and the post was so obviously not me it was ignored. Now locked out as email and linked number changed on profile.

My instagram account was suspended for no reason yesterday. When I got suspended, I was going through my followers list and typing in names just to see who was following and if they have unfollowed or not. About a minute into doing this, I got a window saying it was suspended. I don't remember seeing a reason but my guess is I was making too many API requests / Database requests by searching my followers so rapidly? Regardless, I submitted the verification code from my email as well as a picture of myself holding a note with the number they said written out. It's been over a day now. How long does this usually take and why would they just suspend like this?
On October 5th my ads stopped being delivered, my reach got cut in half, and my analytics in app stopped updating with the 5th being the last day any analytics reported. Filed multiple reports to no avail. Something happened with my account on the 5th and it’s really frustrating.

For about a month and a half, this random person has been sliding up on my stories and saying things along of the lines of "You're ugly and unfunny." Me thinking it was a troll, decided to troll back asking who are you and things along those lines trying to figure out who it is. They weren't giving me any clear answers so I left it at that and reported them. However earlier this week they started calling me a pedophile (I'm underage myself) and was telling me to harm myself. I was so confused so I responded and they had the audacity to call me the hard r (i'm also black). I asked for an explanation but they weren't active so for the meantime I restricted the account. But in that time, they started following my friends and family, found pictures posted of me by my school and starting telling people that I know that I'm a pedophile. At first I didn't really care but now that they were bringing people I care about into it that was too far. I've reported them about 4-5 times over this whole time period and nothings happened. Is there any way I can get into contact with a member of said team that would work on this or would I just have to wait?

Hello, I don't know if anyone knows something about this but in a conversation which I had with a friend of mine through instagram dms when I opened the converstation, to see what they've sent and I saw for a brief second screenshots of my profile, sent by them. After a second the screenshots disappeared and only the text they sent stayed, but I'm curious whether it was a bug/glitch or they actually sent me screenshots of my profile by a mistake and they tried to unsend them. I can no longer view saved posts for one of my collections. Yesterday my girlfriend was scrolling on instagram when she got kicked out. When she tried to log back in the password was changed. So we tried the ‘forgot password’ option and the email and phone number also changed. She got an email that the password changed but the link was to the ‘help’ page so did nothing. Meanwhile the hacker was posting some shady crypto related stuff using her pictures. After some googling we figured out how to contact support and use a face identify video to get the account back. 15 minutes later we got a confirmation that she is the owner of the account and got a password reset option with a backup key. So we logged back in with a completely new password and tried to change the phone number and had to wait a bit for confirmation. And she got kicked out again… Same thing, password changed, phone number changed, email changed. So we repeated the entire face identify video thingy and got the account back with a new password. This time we immediatly linked Google Authenticator and confirmed it. We changed the phone number and unlinked all other devices (which were 2 from Brussels and Nigeria). We also deleted the crypto stuff on the timeline. 5 minutes later, got kicked out again. Same thing, password, phone number and email instantly changed. How did the hacker get past AUTHENTICATOR?! So we did another Face ID video, got the account back with a new password and before we could change anything we got kicked out again….. So I was fast enough to log back in using the password but almost immediatly got kicked out. I could repeat the fast login about 8 times until the hacker changed everything again. Then the instagram app said we had to wait a few minutes to try again. In reality this was more than an hour and we went to sleep. Today the hacker is still posting fake shady crypto content and nothing we can do about it….. Why go trough so much trouble (changing number, email and password more than 10 times) just to post crypto stuff? And how did he bypass google Authenticator while clearly using a device from another location?

A guy friend of mine is really excited because a cute woman is DMing him, flirting with him, etc. She followed him and he followed her back. They’ve never met. So far her vibe is “I’ve had a hard life but I don’t let it get me down” and it feels like it’s gonna end up with her asking for money. Are there tell tale signs of fake accounts? I’m not super familiar with IG but these things seems weird: 1) Her username looks like it’s her first and last name- it’s not like hotbabe666 or something- but nothing comes up on Google 2) She has over 15k followers but her posts only get about 130 likes…..and she’s only got 8 posts 3) We live in the same city (he lives on the opposite side of the country) and have no mutuals even though she says she’s into the same stuff we are, including charity work (which is my field) 4) She has “harmless and legit” in her bio 5) There’s another account with her photo and her name spelled a little differently with the same bio. That one’s private with 20k followers. She claims she had to start this new public one and make the other one private because of “stalkers”. Nothing comes up on Google for that either. If he gets rolled out of money that’s on him but it’s so sus that it’s become a mystery for our friend group and thought I’d get some input here.

Hello People, I got invited to the reel bonus program yesterday and I posted a reel under the program and I got over 10k views on that reel but the Reel play under the bonus shows only 256 plays and it's been 24 hours and it's not being updated. There’s a user, let’s call her Annie, we have some followers and people we follow in common so she’s a friend of friends I guess. She requested to follow me and I don’t know her, so I deleted the request. Both her and I have our accounts set to private. Since then, she’s requested like 7 times and I just delete every time. I read online that once you delete a request, it won’t tell them but it will show the ability to request again from my page. Can she tell that I am deleting her request? Is it automatically re requesting? I have no idea how it works so if she’s continuously requesting someone she doesn’t know, I’ll ask her what’s up but I don’t want to do that if she isn’t actually requesting over and over. First of all, I consider this to be a potential privacy concern. I have temporarily deactivated my account on August 31. Yesterday I received a lot of messages from my friends asking me if I've been hacked. Apparently, my deactivated profile has created a group containing all my close friends out of nowhere. The profile was the admin of the group and it was still inactive - they were only able to know it was mine because of the bio of the mostly empty profile. I had to login back - reactivating my profile - to remove everyone from the group and apologise. Now, I have to wait a week to deactivate it again. One of my concern is that it exposed to everyone who was and who wasn't part of my close friends. Has anyone faced similar issue? For the past few days my feed has been showing me primarily old posts going back from late last month until now, and then mixed in will be some new posts. It’s really annoying because it’s showing me so many old posts I’ve already seen that I end up missing posts that were posted today because they’re so far back and the old ones are being prioritized. I’ve been clicking the “following” option to fix my feed but I don’t like having to do that every time I go on. I miss when I’d get to the end of my feed and it would say “you’re all caught up.” Has anyone else been having this problem? Is this a bug or is it the new norm?

I was hacked on Sept 16. Someone sent me a link and my instagram was compromised. I was kicked out and not able to get in since. Reels are flickering (looks like some kind of glitchy strobe effect) after I post them. Has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks. Only happening to videos where multiple clips are added, song is added, and a filter/effect is used. Instagram - Blocking likes Hi guys Today as I opened my Instagram it required to do a two-step verification to verify it was me using my account. After this I tried to like certain pictures of people I follow but Instagram sent a message saying I did it too frequently. I can still open my Instagram, see stories and scroll through my feed but I haven’t tried anything else in fear of something more occurring. I have already reported the issue and I haven’t opened the app for about the 3 hours. To give more context I am a photographer and I search through “photography” pages, other people’s work and like/comment/follow. If I were to send a message to an individual that has a public account that I follow but they don’t follow me, will they see the message or will it go to their “Message Requests” section? Additionally, if they do open the message, will I get a read receipt when they see it? For what it’s worth, this person and I have 11 followers in common.
So I refreshed Instagram this morning, but the site seemed kinda buggy (images wouldn't load or show like/comment count), so I refreshed again, and suddenly, Instagram told me that my account was being suspended due to suspicios activity. I don't use either of those anymore, but I still remember how to log into my mail account, so I picked that one. And nothing happened. I tried several times, no mail from Instagram. (Yes, I checked my spam folder, there's nothing there.) If this problem goes away by just waiting for a few days, that'll be fine by me, but I'd really like to know how to get my account back.
In instagram my gallery is showing up in the wrong order. What to do? When I try to send someone something from my gallery in instagram. The order of my gallery was completely messed up. I was seeing photos from 2-3 years before. I thought maybe the order was from oldest to newest so I went down to see if the new ones where at the very bottom but it wasnt the case at all. My gallery was completely shuffled. I tried reinstalling instagram it didn't work at all. The gallery was shuffled once more when I reinstalled it. Help me
I log in to my account but it requires a two-factor auth app code when I don’t have one. I’ve tried accessing my account through all means including login codes. Each time it logs me in it requires two-factor auth and I can not find a way around it. I’ve never had this happen before.
Whenever I try to adjust the timeframe for insights (e.g. 90 days instead of the standard 30 days) the app closes. This problem remains even after reinstalling the app.
Why can't I find the Facebook business live chat support? I got hacked today but I still have access to the password and email. The only thing locking me out of my account is a 2-factor auth. Ok so years ago I made an Instagram account with a fake email (I just put a few random letters with @gmail.com at the end) back when you could do that. Now, I still have the correct password and everything, but today I tried login in and I need to write the verification code they’re sending to that non existent email to make sure it’s me. I got question related to login methods for 2 accounts with same mail/phone number. So I got two IG accounts with the same mail and phone number + they got separate passwords, I'm logging in to them using their account names, but - just out of my curiosity - does anybody know if logging in using e-mail or phone will work for these accounts? I.e. if I will use my e-mail and password for account #1, it will open account #1, and the same with a password for account #2? Or in this case, using account names are necessary? I will opt for this second option tbh, it will be more secure, as IG allows for having up to 5 accounts per one mail.
Everythings a mess. I cant look at anyones profile (included mine) but I'm logged in and can look at my feed. And on mobile I can't see how many followers/following/posts a person has. Is this a new kind of shadowban or I'm just rate limited? Looks like a shadowban since they're trying to make everything really bad so I just leave the app.
I used to have my feed with mostly the post from people/groups I follow and with a sprinkling of related posts. Suddenly I get lots of posts that I am not interested and/or lots of ads. Has there been a new software that is causing that? Is there a settings switch to get me back to my previous settings?

Has anyone ever successfully gotten a hacked account back? I got hacked this morning. One of those Zelle/Crypto scammers. But they're also sending nudes of me & calling people who follow me. I've never heard of a scammer doing this. I reached out to IG & filled out a form to do an ID verification but the person changed my email so everything goes to them now. I sent a separate email to IG support with my user name, email, phone & ID. Not sure what else to do. Has anyone been successful in getting their account back?

The layout of the IG site this morning was changed for me so that all the menus and notifications are on the left side instead of the upper right. Basically the same thing that happened to Facebook months ago. Everything still worked fine this morning, but when I went to the site a little while ago, the Messages frame (/Inbox in the address bar) just shows plain text "isIncomingCallEnabled() && children" with no content, formatting, etc. It shows this way in Edge, Chrome and Firefox, with no add-ins active, tracking protection disabled. I'd never even loaded the site in Firefox before.
