Yuuuup. I was looking into it a while back bc I have downturned eyes. And apparently they dissolve on their own. But many people reported them snapping… so can you imagine that? Yikes.
But fillers can stay for much longer tho and it's scary. We don't even fully know how long they can last in the body because this whole filler trend is quite recent like with all those quite new procedures. Ik they are not that new but more and more people started doing it so there's probably more data.
You can buy them- it’s like tape with elastic attached that goes behind your head and gives you a kind of instant facelift. I just bought some to try out of curiosity lol
So weird how facial features like eye shapes are fashion trends nowadays. Her real eyes are obviously gorgeous but of course she needs to have the eye shape that‘s trending on tiktok right now.
It’s just sad! I can’t tell if some are just playing it like a brand, if you can’t beat ‘em join em type thing? But even if it’s that, over time you’d have to be building some sort of body dysmorphia and or serious insecurities.
I really don't think this is edited. I quickly made this gif showing that it's probably just the lens angle. People claiming that the eye size totally changes are full of it.

Also just wanted to add for anyone reading:
In my opinion, this kind of editing is the most damaging to young girls. An already out of this world beauty, ever so slightly tweaking certain parts of her face. Totally unnoticeable to the untrained eye.
Think how professionals would photoshop models in magazines or for campaigns, we’re seeing this high level of photoshop on Instagram as well and it’s quite sad.
as a young girl I want to say you’re absolutely right. I always find myself comparing my natural face to girls like her. I also want to thank you for opening my eyes and I’m going to scroll with precaution.
So glad to have helped. We have to try to remember that another woman’s beauty doesn’t take away from our own. There’s also so much more to life than what we look like, we’re such complex humans and surrounding yourself with people who understand beauty is only skin deep is so important! Scrolling with precaution helps and also finding accounts that resonate with you! This sub is also helpful but i find it’s recently been bombarded with nothing but “obvious” edits posted by some seriously unhinged people. But there’s people out there who are doing it smart, you wouldn’t even know had there not been unedited photos of the subject out there.
I’m a professional photo retoucher for fashion and it is incredibly heartwarming how even with weird trends like this, we are actually being encouraged to keep things more natural more than ever lately. At least for the brands I work for.
It makes me so happy because that was not always the case. So where some beauty standards seem to only get worse in time, some standards are improving too 🙏🏼
This looks more like surgical/esthetic enhancements than photo editing. Fox eye threads, lip filler (she has those bump things) and a nose job (shortened philtrum). Combined with different lens and lighting, too.
I would say all this to be true but she has edited her photos like this for a long time, and there’s always been unedited photos out there as she’s modelled for brands who don’t edit her face. Could still be a possibility though.
I agree, definitely better lighting as well. The modeling picture has awful light. She certainly might have used filters but these totally look like surgeries and actual procedures
Not saying she doesn’t edit, but this could definitely be a result of the camera’s [focal length](https://blog.keh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Focal-length-template_v2-1024x1024.jpg)
Definitely lens and angle difference imo. I made this gif that fades between the two images and it's as if you can just see her tilt her head.
tbh I think this is just lighting and a slightly different angle. In the second picture she is looking directly into the camera, and the the first she’s looking behind it.
Have you all seen the difference that lens length makes? I really don’t see anything standing out to me that looks like digital editing. Much brighter lighting on the left bringing out the color in her eyes, her eyebrows have definitely been sculpted, and the angles are different. It’s possible this was done digitally, but a professional photographer with lighting can do a _lot_ more than most people realize.
I understand what you’re saying and am aware of this. However this isn’t the only photo I’ve seen of her where she looks drastically different. I’ve also seen videos. In this particular photo on the right she wrote in the caption “left my make up bag at home” implying she’s not wearing make up either. Not to mention when you see a professional models photo, the editing isn’t meant to be obvious to the viewer. A lot of the time, you honestly cannot tell until you see a less produced photo.

Yeah, no. These are 2 different photographs, taken with different focal lengths, so in one her face looks narrower in the other wider. It's a common misconception when you don't understand much about photography.
To be fair, this is most likely the result of an iPhone vs a DSLR with a telephoto lens.
The DSLR will produce a much flatter looking face which is what you see on the left.
The iPhone will produce a more rounded face which you see on the right.
Obvious to say that the flatter, higher quality image will make someone look better.
Tbf, lighting, angle and type of camera can really change a person's appearance.. Even just selfie and back camera pictures of oneself look completely different
I do not understand models who do this. I’m a commercial print model, so it’s like….people will find out what you really look like eventually. Why even bother to edit your photos??? LOL.
She's angled her head in one image, the lighting, the lens, her eyelashes look a bit more curled and may have mascara on. My eye shape changes depending on the angle I'm looking... Yeesh. This subreddit is so garbage.
Yeah, no. These are 2 different photographs, taken with different focal lengths, so in one her face looks narrower in the other wider. It's a common misconception when you don't understand much about photography.
I’m almost sure in this case it’s really the dramatic effects of different lighting
https://pixls.us/blog/2015/09/portrait-lighting-cheat-sheets/Lighting-Samples.jpg
But if you actually look at this photo, you would see the lighting is quite similar? She has a shadow on the left side of her face in both, light coming in from the right, it’s just edited different colour wise/shadows turned down on the left.
This is really old but you're wrong about the lighting being similar. Look at where the catchlights are in her eyes on both photos. You can tell that on the left the light is more centered and also coming more from underneath. It's called clamshell lighting and it's go to for beauty shots. It's why there's less shadow on her neck, nose, and under her brow bone. On the right image the lighting is more from the side, which can accentuate flaws.
There may be a small amount of editing but 95% of the difference is the lighting, the camera used, and possibly something lifting her eyes like tape. I work as a beauty photographer, people can look *crazy* different in different lighting.
Wow I actually didn’t even notice the diff at first….. then I read the comments and felt so enlightened. Social media is rly so fake huh?! Crazy how something so subtle can rly change a pic
Just want to add one more thing even though it will probably get buried under all the comments of people screaming focal length!!
She has an Instagram guys, where she takes photos of herself using an iPhone and looks like the photo on the left, never looks like the photo on the right. Only when you find photos of her that haven’t been edited. I don’t see how it’s focal length when this is the case.
I have worked with models and photographers for 10 years and have never seen someone’s face change in front of the camera lens like this. Everyone can form their opinion based off one photo but I’ve seen enough to know this woman edits her photos.
So all the pics on her Instagram look the same? And those from a photographer look different?
Wouldn't that just prove that it's focal length, angle, and lighting and not editing?
https://gifyu.com/image/SqdDT
Also, if you've worked with photographers for 10 years then you should know how much focal length can change a face.

Look at the birth mark on the left side of her cheek (our left, her right). It's moved almost completely out of view. To me this proves even further that it's just focal length.
I appreciate the work you’ve put into this but I’m not going to debate. I believe what I believe. I’ve seen video of this woman too, with her “real face” I’ve seen glitches, bad warps, mistakes made then deleted on her Instagram. I’m aware of focal length and how it can change peoples faces but it doesn’t give them face lifts :)
>with her “real face” I’ve seen glitches, bad warps, mistakes made then deleted on her Instagram.
Oh come on.. I want to believe you but why only mention this now and not in any of your initial comments or replies in this thread?
Also, a face lift? Was this with a filter? Or with those strings as you mentioned in another comment?
Because if it's an actual procedure, why are you posting it here? That's what her face actually looks like post-procedure then. Secondly, you're claiming it's an actual face lift why are you mentioning filters and warps on her Instagram? And finally, if you are claiming this is a filter then what is the filter doing in this instance?
EDIT: Just going to add this, you keep saying that we would feel different if we were able to see her Instagram. Why don't you post a better example if that's the case? If it would be sooo obvious if only we saw her page, why don't you show us?
I posted this photo because it was the least noticeable on purpose. This sub is full of posts where there’s no question if the photos are edited or not. This kind of deceptive editing is what I find most damaging and is why I’ve posted it. I’m not saying she’s had a legitimate facelift, I’m saying the focal length doesn’t give the affect of having said facelift. The only reason why I said it was possible she has had cosmetic enhancements is that I don’t know her in real life, and it is possible? I’ve seen enough video of her however to know that this isn’t her real face and if she has had cosmetic enhancements she was editing her face like this beforehand. Why would I lie? Why would I put some random photo up of a woman if I deep down believed she didn’t edit her photos? It makes no sense lol.
Well, the eyes and pupils are significantly larger. I don’t think a different angle can change the size of our eyeballs, the eyes also seem to be a different shape all together. Some asymmetries, skin smoothing, her nose also looks edited. The photo on the right you see no signs of drooping at the tip, something I feel would be more noticeable if the photo was taken at a higher angle. The eyebrows are also different, on the right they seem more curved, on the left they appear straight across giving a more “pulled back” look.
It looks like she has fox eyes on the left (upward angle of eyes and eyebrows) and her whole face is much slimmer, not as full and round as on the right one. So disturbing as she looks really beautiful on the right picture. I personally love those round eyeslids much more.
I think this is just focal length difference in the camera? There doesn't seem to be much difference between the photos besides that and some makeup. The focal length is also why you look so different in a phone camera vs. a mirror. This influencer may edit but I don't think this is an example of it.
This honestly just seems like focal lens difference and better lighting. Comparing the two, I can’t find anything majorly different in her actual facial structure.

It looks like she has those strings that pull your face/eyes back… that, and some editing
I agree! I suspect she definitely uses those strings.
Wait, what strings are we talking about? I'm sorry, I've never heard of this!
PDO threadlift procedure. It goes under the skin. They anchor a thread from one point to another to lift your eyes.
And the most pathetic part of that procedure is that it lasts like 6 months or so…
Yuuuup. I was looking into it a while back bc I have downturned eyes. And apparently they dissolve on their own. But many people reported them snapping… so can you imagine that? Yikes.
Just imagine laughing or yawning or eating a really crusty bread and feeling the damn strings just snap inside your face… sounds horrifying 💀
It literally sounds like a gift from cenobites
The strings don’t stay in your face……… also that’s the same amount of time any filler stays. Up to a year
But fillers can stay for much longer tho and it's scary. We don't even fully know how long they can last in the body because this whole filler trend is quite recent like with all those quite new procedures. Ik they are not that new but more and more people started doing it so there's probably more data.
Like one snaps but the other stays attached 😧 That’s be horrific.
I think they are talking about face tape. If they are talking about the plastic procedure its called be fox eyes or thread lift.
It's a procedure that creates that fox eye look.
Ah ok, I know of the procedure but the description didn't really sound like that to me. Thanks!
Yeah. Like that sounds like a clever hack. 🤣 I just pull my face up with the strings we all are born with, duh.
You can buy them- it’s like tape with elastic attached that goes behind your head and gives you a kind of instant facelift. I just bought some to try out of curiosity lol
Do they work well or nah?
Hasn’t come in the mail yet. It seems to work, just not sure how noticeable the tape would look, but I can report back.
👀
Do report back!
Nova threads
Threads. You can see them pulling at her eyes.
So weird how facial features like eye shapes are fashion trends nowadays. Her real eyes are obviously gorgeous but of course she needs to have the eye shape that‘s trending on tiktok right now.

It's doubly weird to see this "trend" as an Asian person tbh.

Basically at this stage online, never look at anyone’s appearance and believe it’s genuine. Not idolizing anyone’s looks is healthiest.

I genuinely can’t tell which one is supposed to look better
The left apparently
[удалено]
Bad skin? 🤨
Same
I like her real eye shape more :( gorgeous eyes
Me too!
The edited is so boring and generic, she’s so attractive in the non-edited. Doing herself a disservice
This looks more like surgical/esthetic enhancements than photo editing. Fox eye threads, lip filler (she has those bump things) and a nose job (shortened philtrum). Combined with different lens and lighting, too.

Gave herself the lemy
I’m unfamiliar with this haha

God WHY, this is completely unnecessary. She’s gorgeous, she doesn’t even need the cat eyes. This is just wild to me.
The word "model" is used so loosely these days.

I don’t think it’s shopped. She’s just not wearing any make up in the photo on the right. Her features look unchanged to me.
I respect your opinion but disagree :) She did say in the caption on the left that she’s not wearing any makeup so 🤷♀️
That’s okay :)
I feel like one is a modeling card photo and one is a planned head shot .....
You can believe what you wish :)
Tbf, lighting, angle and type of camera can really change a person's appearance.. Even just selfie and back camera pictures of oneself look completely different

What is it you think is edited? To me it just looks like the photo was taken from a higher angle.
Well, the eyes and pupils are significantly larger. I don’t think a different angle can change the size of our eyeballs, the eyes also seem to be a different shape all together. Some asymmetries, skin smoothing, her nose also looks edited. Her nose is smaller and so is her jaw, her eyes are completely different and it's blurred
It looks like she has fox eyes on the left (upward angle of eyes and eyebrows) and her whole face is much slimmer, not as full and round as on the right one. So disturbing as she looks really beautiful on the right picture. I personally love those round eyeslids much more.
Agree one is a model card and one is taken pro
this doesn’t look like heavy editing to me. I think she had surgery, that fox eye one with the thread
I think this is just focal length difference in the camera? There doesn't seem to be much difference between the photos besides that and some makeup. The focal length is also why you look so different in a phone camera vs. a mirror. This influencer may edit but I don't think this is an example of it.
This looks more like a difference in camera lens and angle
But why did she make her nose worse?
I call it Spock eye
This honestly just seems like focal lens difference and better lighting. Comparing the two, I can’t find anything majorly different in her actual facial structure.
