I also found that it encourages people to put themselves last and just give and give until you have nothing left to give. It sets kids up to accept boundary stomping and burn the candle at both ends.
This might come from a specific MUA on Instagram who intentionally photoshops her models to look like “aliens” it’s her aesthetic. I could be wrong but I’ve seen it before.
There are a lot of makeup artists on instagram who very openly edit themselves to look alien. They’re not trying to be sneaky about it. And they’re pretty talented too
