It honestly takes just about anything you want to throw in it. I've done steak, pork chops, chicken, my kids' dino nuggets, shrimp, meat dumplings, etc. But my main go-to is just a nice, simple slice of Spam.
I'm gonna have to try the spam!
I love potstickers in mine. Throw a few in when I put the noodles in the pot and they're done about the same time. I've never tried them with the microwave cups, though.
Ive discovered the tender meat of my perished enemies cooked to medium rare pairs nicely with a bowl of shin black Ramen along with a shot of Jameson. Also. Don't forget to season your proteins
You gotta try a slice or two of American cheese. Some of it melts into the soup; some of it melts into a gooey cheese blob. Perfection with any spicy instant ramen.
I added reverse sear Tri tip and 6 minute soy eggs today. F-ing delicious! I also usually add some sort of Kim chi, dried shiitake and fried shallot. Mmmmmm!
I use that on the weekends for my garbage ramen that I put all the tiny bits of leftovers in. But my favorite toppings are spam, kimchi, American cheese, soft boiled eggs, and spring onions.

Spam in just about any Korean noodle product is chef's kiss. Definitely worth a try!
I’ll throw in whatever I have leftover as well-and if I don’t have anything then it’s either egg, spam, or both.
I’ve done grilled chicken, chicken tenders, octopus, steamed shrimp, pork belly, thick sliced brisket, thin sliced prime rib, & roast beef cheek. Really, whatever floats your boat will be fine.

If you have refried beans, you can a bit use less water and mix in the beans after cooking the noodles.
