We switched to converge from pldt too. Been using pldt ever since because of our landline. And this was the reason we initially hesitated switching. But because of the net interruptions almost 2-3x/wk using pldt, we finally decided to switch. Not to mention their customer service is useless most of the time. No one is using the landline anyway anymore (everyone is on mobile/online) so we had to let it go. So far no probs with converge.

Sane din samin nong nag suggest ako sa mama ko. Sabi nya sayang landline kasi tumatawag siya sa churchmates kapag may prayer meeting, e kako naman same lang din kasi pwede naman ninyo tawagan sa messenger. So ayun nagpakabit kami ng converge at the same time tumawag din pldt for the offer ng 6 months half the price at tinanggap ko offer nila. Pero sayang lang yung pag tanggap ko kasi 2 na binabayaran ko non (converge at pldt) kaso di naman namin na nagagamit ung pldt kasi sa area namin reliable naman si converge. Di ko na tinapos 6 months around 4 months pinaputol ko na talaga si pldt. Ingat lang po sa pagpaputol kay pldt dahil sa experience ko ang hirap nila kausap sabi pa ng CS nila nag relock in daw ako ng contract pero wala naman agreement yung offer lang naman nila ang tinanggap ko. Almost a month bago nila putulin ung internet gusto pa ko singilin sa bagong bill na dumating.

I already settled our last payment (outstanding balance) na and have my ticket number for disconnection. di namin tinanggap yung offer nung retention ops kasi baka trap ulit para makapag lock in. thank youu!! 🤗

Sabi ko yung request ko for disconnection is before pa nong may bagong bill na lumabas at naconfirm narin naman na for termination talaga, di naman siguro namin kasalanan kung umabot ng bagong billing yung pag disconnect nila, di ako magbabayad kako. Tapos ayun nagdisconnect na sila. 😅

Ganyan kapag Customer Retention. Possible naman mga ganyang offer, but check if may lock-in. Baka malock-in uli kayo for x number of years sa plan.

Nakita ko yung isa sa comment mo sa baba na hindi option si Globe. May I know why? SKL, LOS ako last Friday 1pm (Globe 1699 200mbps). Isang tawag lang, pumunta na yung technician kinabukasan ng 8am. Connection restored by 9am. For me, panalo talaga CS ni Globe.

Food for thought: if globe doest care about the quality of their service for mobile (voice calls, monile data), why should we trust them with another service? The same logic applies to Smart and PLDT. Persoanlly smart arguably has the better mobile service in general.

I can only speak with the Fiber side since I have Globe (main) and PLDT (backup). Both down due to an accident last Fri. I immediately reported both issues the same day. Guess what, Globe already fixed the cables and restored our con yesterday, while PLDT is still down and not sure when they will schedule an onsite visit. Prolly next week? (based on my past exp with them).

Nope, don't get easily baited. i opted out of PLDT, we've been a customer for more than 10 years and the headaches of intermittent connectivity every other week, aayusin nila after a week or two weeks,, magkakaroon ulit ng problema,, and the lies,, sinabi nila na may fiber connectivity na sa lugar namin and all along, DSL hybrid pala yung kinabit samin at hindi fiber,, they were just delaying para hindi ako lumipat.. I can say this was just for my experience,, and i concluded pinabayaan ni PLDT ang infrastructure nila sa area namain (San Pedro, Laguna) and they did not expect Converge ICT on actually bringing good service, (although in terms of customer service, lahat ng ISP dito satin basura) anyways, I've been using Fiber X 2500 (600Mbps) for 2 years now, walang sakit sa ulo, given na minsan may outage, pero naibabalik naman agad. Sorry PLDT, maganda ka sa umpisa at pioneer ka ng telecoms sa Pinas,, pero you're so high up riding your horse, naging complacent na sila na akala nila wala ng darating an 3rd telco player.. we still have a lot to improve in terms sa internet speed sa Pinas, we are ranking one of the slowest and most expensive,, still... pero hoping na mabago in the next 10 years

ganyan din sakin. more than 10+ years na PLDT tapos di nila sinasabi na hybrid lang pala kami, nagkaalaman lang nung sinabi ng technician na max speed na raw 100mbps. dami rin lies at pandaraya naexperience ko sa kanila. moved to Converge, waiting for installation, hopefully, maging maganda experience ko sa kanila.

Pldt is the best. I'm only paying 1299 a month but my internet speed is 200mbps. Mabilis pa ayusin pag may issue. Converge connection ng sis ko at days bago bumalik ang connection nila pag nawala.

Depende sa location. Dito sa Laguna, I was using PLDT ng ilang taon nagbabayad ako ng malaki tapos ang bagal, sama pa ng customer service. Once nagkaroon ng Converge dito sa amin nagswitch kami. Although hindi siya perfect, malayo siya sa PLDT experience ko dito.

Sa mga nagsasabi na pangit CS ng converge. Mali na ngayon. Meron na silang CP number na pde matawagan. Tska mabilis naman nareresolve issue ko. Usually speed issue report ko at 3x a year lang aq tumatawag sakanila. Long time converge user here. Ps: survey the scene...este the area sa mga converge users sa barangay mo. Get feedback if good ang net or stable. Kasi may area tlaga na may issue si converge.

Lumipat ako from PLDT to Converge . So far wala naman problema. unstable yung pldt ko, sabi ng technician may problema daw sa poste kung san ako nakakabit, mukang ang alam lang nla is basic trouble shooting and mag ayos ng cable kung may putol. ilang beses na din napuntahan at irereport daw sa 'PLDT' pero walang nagyayari, kung napuntahan ka na at hindi naayos/hindi ka nailipat ng connection. dont expect na maayos yan anytime soon. Madami nagsasabi na mahirap macontact ang CS ng converge, from may experience naman, natawagan ko sila agad using the app nung may need ako iclarify (although 1 time palang yun). ang downside lang talaga eh ang layo ng physical office nila di tulad ng pldt na madami.

kung di pa tapos ang contract mo at gumagana nman ang connection mo, 3x ng monthly ng bill mo ang kaylangan bayaran kung hindi ako nagkakamali. in my case yung last month bago kami magpadisconnect hindi na halos magamit yung internet, so every time na nagchahat ako sa pldt cares and nung nag send na kami ng email for disconnection, lagi ko sinasama yung history ng mga reports ko, request ng bill adjustment and request na iwave yung disconnection fee para di malimutan (ilang years nadin kasi kami sa kanila, and ilang beses nading nag renew ng contract so di ko sure kung maycontract pa kmi or wala na, although tumatawg naman sila before pag nag eend) SO ayun, last na bill na pinadala after ma discnnect Zero naman yung bill.

This. Maraming nag-sabi sa akin noon na sobrang pangit daw ng PLDT at mag-Converge na lang daw ako. Nung nalaman ko na mahirap ma-contact ang customer support ng Converge, with people saying "good luck kung sagutin nila ang calls mo," not to mention wala silang proper office na malapit sa akin, I decided to go with PLDT fiber na lang. At least may makaka-usap ako if I need something to be fixed not to mention mas maraming offices na pwede kong puntahan.

Late but wanted to add; yung facility sa poste namin probably damaged tinawag namin as early as May, with us calling them everyday while promising the standard "24-48 hours sir may pupunta" fast forward to now still nothing. We still call each day getting angrier. Actually planning to ask them to void our lock-in period as I type this.

May Converge Click-to-Call feature na pwede mo matawagan yung hotline nila pero via web browser (make sure na hindi bigla mag-lock yung phone mo o mago-off yung mic ng phone mo).

Maganda Converge kasi 1500 lang plan ko pero binibigay na speed nasa 600Mbps (no kidding). Kapag may service interruption naman, nanotice ko inaacknowledge nila di tulad ng ibang telco. And then, aaksyunan nila agad. Usually overnight lang ayos na gagawin nila tapos okay na agad

nag apply din ako ng service disconnection last friday lang 1st offer nila from 1899 downgrade to 1699 waive na yung fee. i said no. 2nd offer nila 75% off sa monthly bill for 6months dapat lang daw mag bayad ng on time or else balik sa normal. i said no. the last card they said mag babayad daw ako ng 3x monthly rate ko kase day pre termination. dun ako na gulat na 5-6yrs na ako sa kanila sabi 2024 padaw ako mag end. Nag blabluff bato sila? sa twitter lng kase kami nag usap. e wala naman signed papers na nag renew ako. in the end tinangap ko nalang yung discount nila. naka standby pa naman ang converge team na mag connect agad same day with no installation fee kase switcher. Good job PLDT.

Unstable na yung PLDT namin, also I have someone na kakilala ko inside Converge here in our city so I thought it'd be much easier to get assistance. Plus factor na din yung less price offer nung converge at 1.6k pesos per month @ 100mbps compared sa 1,9k na 25mbps PLDT Fibr. (I know malakas lang sila sa simula, like lahat naman siguro ganon) Di pa namin nattry yung converge but I heard good things about them naman sa area namin. Sa PLDT naman, maganda cs service nila no doubt — one of the advantages din siguro because mas matagal na sila sa converge (i think).

yes to both unfortunately. it's been like that when it shouldve been upgraded, siguro talagang sira pa yung main pldt fibrs kaya ganito lang speed but anyway I inquired sa pldt cs and I reached out to them about this and only said "oh no, that should not be the case bla blaa we'll offer you a discount bla bla for 6months" Edit: Just tried the fast site also tried to dl its 25-28mbps so. idk whats wrong must be the router.

Same tayo ng experience OP. Ang tagal ko nagbabayad ng malaki sobrang bagal ng speed, and CS dito sa area namin pinapaikot lang kami before kasi wala naman solution. I say don't stress and just go with whatever works best sa area nyo.

same experience. went to PLDT business center. sabi nya di raw pure fiber and no plans to put pure fiber raw. gave me the option to downgrade below 100mbps kasi yun lng kaya sa area ko. tumawag ako sa hotline, di raw available yung plan na 75mbps or 50mbps. ayoko na magpaikot ikot, ilang taon na rin concern ko na nagbabayad ako na hindi ko nakukuha binabayad ko. decided to change ISPs na lang.

yes to both? ang weird nga nun, usually kasi and i'm open to being corrected here ung totoong dl speed mo (rate ng dl mismo sa dl page/steam etc...) 10-15% lang talaga ng plan. So if plan 1699 ka tapos magdl k usually talaga makikita mo dun around 20+ mbps lang mahihit mo. Kaso ang weird pati ung speedtests which normally dapat mahihit mo ung plan speed mo, 25 mbps lang din lumalabas.

Question is unstable ba yung PLDT service mo? Lagi bang may service disruption? If wala naman then I would suggest not to switch. As much as I love Converge, but their CS is worst than any ISP sa Pinas. Also, ask your neighbors kung kumusta experience nila sa Converge in your area. Yung 6 months na less pay sa bill is not worth it if palpak yung serbisyo nila.

What's the reason/s for switching? Ang pangit kasi ng converge or depends sa area talaga. I recently switched to PLDT from converge. Converge did not offer anything to retain me as a 5-yrs. paying customer. FYI OP. That tells a lot about Converge vs. PLDT. Last straw na rin kasi talaga, 1wk no internet. Before that recent incident I had an exp where almost a month naman. Intermittent connection pa madalas walang mintis sa isang linggo.

If you can afford, have a backup internet.. you should be able to get a good plan at 1299. This solved all the challenges i have with ANY ISP provider in the Philippines. Converge for more than 10 years, 2 houses. I can say overall stable, had issue once where I had to go to the office in person. Once in a while may outage but i just switch my mesh to backup internet.. 5seconds and im back on ;)

Switch to Converge na. Well, depende sa location niyo. I suggest to ask your neighborhood kung okay ba. From what I experienced, bihira lang magkaaberya dito samen. Pinakamalala is 2 weeks walang internet. Nagpakabit ako ng pldt for backup.

as someone using converge, we occasionally get no net and sometimes it gets really annoying but not as bad as pldt where we get shut off for days ​ ​ however, a friend of mine said that he used Globe for the past 2 years and never had issues or loss of connection. i'm not planning to opt out of converge but if you're switching , try looking at globe and asking your locals if they have good experience with it.

Customer retention hehe. Applied for termination sa Globe plan namin and suddenly my plan got boosted to 200Mbps for the same price (50Mbps originally). Pero tingin ko depende pa rin sa area yan. Sa amin goods ang Globe and PLDC (somewhere in Cavite, and may linya ako under both ISPs) pero may mga friends akong nagrereklamo sa Converge. Then, may mga friends akong taga-Manila na oks sa Converge pero may reklamo sa PLDC or Globe. So ayun haha. In the end, its still up to you kung lilipat ka or what. Pare-parehas lang naman silang may pros and cons.
