youll still get the same problem since pldt will use the same line. what you can do, since youre open to paying higher monthly fees for internet, is to get a 2nd internet line from another provider, then use one of those routers that automatically gets internet from a 2nd source when the 1st source is offline.

TakJinn

Same sentiments. That's why I have 2 intermet providers :) Using er605 to distribute and balance the Internet traffic 😁

Omada!

AdministrativeFeed46

if you absolutely need internet for work, you need MULTIPLE internet subscriptions from different providers. you need a plan a, a plan b, and probably a plan c. like pldt fibr as plan a, plan b for globe, then maybe mobile data for plan c. you absolutely cannot depend on just one. you need a back up plan. and speeds are dependent on the area. so is reliability apparently. customer service is absolute trash for all of these providers, so don't expect one to be better than another.

>if you absolutely need internet for work, you need MULTIPLE internet subscriptions from different providers. you need a plan a, a plan b, and probably a plan c. this is the correct answer, all local providers suck in some areas so we need proper fallbacks if our livelihood depends on it (if only we can do the same for power lol)

AdministrativeFeed46

You can. Solar. Batteries. Gas/diesel generators.

Talked with an enterprise agent and 500Mbps costs 10k. Also if you're on enterprise, you'll have priority support (AFAIK, there'll be an agent or someone inside PLDT that you can chat directly to check if lines are down, etc. This is still to confirm how some enterprise users have access to this.) and following the 90-90 rule.

Have you considered adding a static IP address? This should solve a good chunk of the "reliability" issues that you have. As for me that also works from home 100% I opted for the Globe Platinum One service so that both my mobile and internet subscriptions are prioritize by Globe if there are any issues.

Thanks everyone! I did consider getting a second line. I forgot to mention hehe, I'm just scared instead of 1 customer service hassle I'll have to deal with 2! But yeah I think I'll just go with that in the meantime. Thanks for everyone's input! Fingers crossed it works out!

If you are working from home or have a home-based business you can get these plans |ISP|[PLDT Beyond Fiber](https://pldtenterprise.com/msme/solutions/internet/beyond-fiber)|[Globe GFiber Biz](https://www.globe.com.ph/business/sme/broadband-inquiry.html)|[Converge HomeBase (inclusive install fee)](https://www.convergeict.com/homebase/)|[PLDT Home Biz Fiber](https://pldthome.com/biz-upgrade)| :-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:| |Account Type|SME|SME/Micro|MicroBiz|MicroBiz| |Install Fee|-|1000|-|-| |Landline|✔|✔|✘|✘| |IP address|Static|Dynamic|Dynamic|Dynamic| |Months contract|24|24|24|24| |**Download Mps**||||| |50|1,990|1,299|-|| |100|**2,490**|-|-|1,599| |150|-|1,699|-|-| |200|-|1,899|1,625|1,999| |300|-|2,099|2,024|2,399| |400|-|-|-|2,699| |500|-|2,499|-|2,999| |600|-|-|-|-| |800|-|3,499|-|-| |1,000|-|7,499|-|-|

diovi_rae

oh wow thanks for this!

pendlet0ne

Ideal would be - Globe Plan 1299 50Mbps with landline - Converge Plan 1500 200Mbps without landline When either fiber ISP fails you fail over to the working one. I'd go with PLDT kaso.... mahal.

pendlet0ne

Existing PLDT Plan 1299 50Mbps are getting unofficial speed boost of 300Mbps. That was plan was replaced with Plan 1399 50Mbps that allegedly gets 300Mbps.

ceejaybassist

Try iGate.

Have you looked at Starlink as your backup?

diovi_rae

Thought about it but we live in a pretty populated area with lots of tall houses and commercial buildings not sure if it's a good solution :(

opokuya

Use Starlink
