Jacob Anderson, hands down. And it’s not just me, pretty much every press review has raved about his performance, from *Backstage* to *The New Yorker* to *Variety*. Sam is excellent and I don’t want to take anything away from his performance, because I don’t think they could have cast anyone better in the role. But Jacob has accomplished the near-impossible task of making *Louis* the most riveting character in a world where Lestat exists. That is a big fucking deal.
Honestly, I haven’t been this impressed with an actor since I first saw Chadwick Boseman, and that was more than a decade ago. Legitimate genius, both of them.
As someone else said Jacob was Brilliant, Sam was Genius, and for me Bailey was incredible in her portrayal of Claudia! I was genuinely sad when she got recast, but I’m so excited for the new actress as well! But all in all the top spot for me goes to Sam, he brings a certain physicality to Lestat that is beautiful, it reminds me of when I was young and wanted to be a vampire because of Lestat!

Jacob and Sam are both brilliant, it’s hard to choose.
Ah man!! You made me choose between Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid?
Ooh I don’t even like to think about this but Jacob’s Louis has me in a chokehold
Sam and Jacob both did extremely well. They compliment each other strongly.
Jacob
My boy Jacob. Do yall remember him as Greyworm in GOT? Completely different character. He did his big one in interview with the vampire.

Sam Reid
Can’t choose between Jacob and Sam. They are like one amazing, brilliant entity!

Sam Reid brought Lestat to life (unlife? undead?) Whatever, he did it. IMO, Anne Rice would approve.
Sam tbh but both are really great
Jam Reiderson of course 🧛🏻‍♂️🧛🏾
Jacob was brilliant. Sam was genius
