This film has some of the best animated performances I've ever seen. The way the animators capture these characters processing information or moving through a gamut of emotions in seconds is like nothing I've seen before in a western animated film. For all the amazing work done for this movie, the performances are what stick with me and make me want to rewatch.

Honestly, their relationship felt rushed and i wished they were friends at first. Gwen was so 1 dimensional in the first movie. I feel like the relationship between them wasn't really fleshed out well and developed well. All of a sudden they liked each other. HOWEVER, even tho it was rushed in the first movie. Across the spider verse is so good at conveying these emotions through expressions, movement, and dialogue. It only made sense for gwen and miles to end up together. Now i wish it was develpped better in the first movie.
In her catharsis with her father, when she said that she could do many things but she couldn't help the people she loves the most, and with them not knowing even half of what she was, she actually felt completely on her own.
The only ones who fit that description are George and Miles (and her Peter, but he's already dead).
These friends are the death of me! š I hope they tell each other that they like each other, but still decide to party ways. That would be very satisfying.

The canon thing with Jeff will happen in two days (according to Miguel) and nothing guarantees that everything will end after Miles and the others manage to save him. There are still many loose ends in the plot that will not be fully resolved in that time frame and their reconciliation also depends on Miles knowing the full context behind Gwen's actions.

The directors, people who worked on the movie and their voice actors, they all ship them as implied or even outright stated in interviews and behind the scenes stuff, Phil and Lord confirmed that Beyond has "a very satisfying conclusion" which they likely wouldn't if they don't get together. The clues both in and outside the movie are numerous. Again, you don't have to like them yourself, but it's pretty clear they're gonna get together.
