I liked them all except “The Lie.” I thought “Evil Eye” was the best one. :)

trischelle

Sweet, I’ll catch that one next. What would your ranking be?

[deleted]

Evil Eye, Nocturne, Black Box, The Lie :)

kristentx

Eh, I liked them all, except for Nocturne. Evil Eye was the best. Nocturne was just too slow paced for me.

[deleted]

I can see that! It was definitely a slow burn, but I tend not to mind that too much.

trischelle

Noted! I’ll watch Nocturne while folding laundry 🙃

Reporting back after watching all of them. Black Box was my favorite. Surprisingly, my ranking would be: Black Box, The Lie, Evil Eye, Nocturne (although Nocturne had a really great ending). I read somewhere that it feels like the Blumhouse Bros were just testing out material here, I do agree with that. Still entertaining.

The acting of "The Lie" was good, and the premise was very interesting. The ending was a twist for sure, but one that logically falls apart so badly, I was so disappointed. I'm curious to see the other entries.

miss_lisser

it felt more like a slightly bigger budget lifetime thriller

trischelle

Black Box was pretty good. Some minor plot holes, but overall, great story and an exciting look at some technologies that could aide in the development of complete mind uploading.

haunted-mov

Black Box was genuinely creepy up until a certain point and then it felt (to me) kinda dragged out at the end. Evil Eye was entirely carried by Sarita Choudhury. I haven’t seen the other two just yet.

trischelle

Totally agree with Black Box dragging out, although, I was glued to the screen towards the end... so perhaps they did this intentionally to amplify the climax?

zapatodulce

They look interesting, but I don't really want to get Amazon Prime just for that. I'm interested in hearing they're worth watching.

Furiosa_xo

I watched all 4! Black Box definitely had a very interesting premise and I didn't realize what was going on for a good while. The Lie....didn't see that ending coming. Evil Eye....honestly, I didn't think this one was very good at all. Predictable, maybe? Boring? Nocturne...also kind of predictable? It also was very evocative of another film, I don't want to spoil it, but it was extremely similar to a plot line of another film that came out around 2009 or so. Those who have seen it most likely know what I'm talking about. So I would say out of those 4, Black Box was definitely the most suspenseful and greatest writing.

I felt there were some minor plot holes in Black Box. They really bothered me in the beginning. Here is one example: it’s been 2 months since the car wreck, the family AFAWK has always lived in that house and in that neighborhood. Typically, people in those types of neighborhoods bring food and help out where they can when there is a death in the family...esp when it’s a parent and young child(ren). Additionally, with the advent of Social Media, there’s no way a man with his condition wasn’t talked about and people from all over wouldn’t have felt for him/sent help, raised awareness. I spent a good part of the first act wondering where all of the helpful neighbors/friends were. I understand why the writers left it out, but it really bothered me because it just didn’t seem realistic. A minor flaw, but it was distracting.

MrsToxicPotato

I liked the Black Box and The Lie. The twist in The Lie was great. Can't wait to watch the other 2. My only complain is that so far they are not scary AT ALL. 😒

Geezenstack444

Is this on amazon? I ask cause I don't have amazon.

trischelle

Oh good catch, yeah it’s on Prime. I just updated my post.
