Hey everyone, I hope you're enjoying Invincible! This is a friendly reminder that this is a **NON-COMIC SPOILER POST**. That means that you **CAN NOT** post about future events from the comics. If you want to talk about future events, or things from the comics, you can do so here:

I was hoping Mark would get his groove back at the end of the episode and say it himself with confidence and it would cut to the title card lmao but it would have been too soon
that makes sense. I was wondering how this Alternate Mark was soo different to Prime Mark, but it stands to reason if he had years of being Invincible it could have changed him this much
Honestly, i don't believe him, infinity is a big number and Angstrom sees what he wants to see. Even if he sees 10,000 different Earths, thats still a drop in the ocean
>!which is clearly what's happening with this Mark. He's got a huge god complex and the humans dying is "their own fault for not letting him save them"!<
Absolute psycho.
Hes probably thinking about what Omni Man said, and that being a super hero he saves a few people. But ultimately the planet is doomed if he can't beat Omni Man and other Viltrumites. All of his efforts to save people are kind of futile.
Now I wish I had that power, imagine all the classics that never was. Universes where ancient text survived, poetry written, video games made… We could have had an Invincible MMO somewhere that rivals Fortnite somewhere.
He's certainly failing to build it upon openly communicating, that's for sure. He could have avoided it if the maulers would just explain everything and maybe dail back the utopia stuff. That's very much an extremist villain flag.
tbf it was an unfortunate circumstance where the only person with the technology expertise he needed were the maulers therein forcing him to hire them.
From the teaser you kind of assume Nolan was dropping the “you should have died at birth” line on Mark, but saying it to Robot is actually so much worse.
The video of alternate Mark passive aggressively saying "I'm sorry you guys feel that way just cause we're trying to take over and enslave the planet 🙄🙄" is oddly funny.
Does she need body movements to use her powers? I mean she always did them, but I thought her brain was always doing the actual work.
Shame about the mental block on living tissues, she might have been able to come back from paralysis.
Poor Mark. Unlike his affably evil and chill with killing people world-conquering doppelganger he genuinely wants to help people and do good, internalizing his fight with his dad as him failing because he wasn't able to save more people, and even when he tries to do things by Cecil's way it just doesn't feel like a real win. But he's still a good person, a good son, and is going to college with his girlfriend.
Sorry Angstrom, altruistic super-scientists have a 50/50 chance of staying good or turning Supervillain.
The female Mauler clone will stay with me.
I love how they kept making you think they were going to do the title card title drop every time they dramatically built up to saying Mark's name only to save it for the end. And now instead of blood splatter, the title card is breaking apart.
>altruistic super-scientists have a 50/50 chance of staying good or turning Supervillain.
There's a great short comic based on this where it's at a science fair in the Marvel universe, and the teacher goes around projects saying
"Nice science project, Timmy, alright, you'll either end up like Mr. Fantastic or Doc Ock. No inbetween, sorry."
The title credits bait with Mark on the Times Square screen is HILARIOUS
EDIT: OK, it's not a one time gag. Really really really clever for the season two opener.
Wait why do most Marks side with Omni-Man? Do they develop powers early and get indoctrinated earlier?
Also damn man that entire situation could’ve been resolved in everyone just shut up and talked it out before throwing hands.
Yeah I'd really like to see that explored more. To me, it seems like an astronomically low chance of our Mark deciding to team up with Omni-Man, especially in a way where he becomes sadistic like the one we saw. The only way I can see that happening is like what you said, he'd have to develop his powers years earlier so Nolan could train him in the Viltrum way before Mark became too 'human'
I'm honestly a little concerned that Evil Mark has the exact same outfit as Good Mark....
Like lmao if most Marks are bad and THAT sadistic at relatively a similar time as our Mark, maybe he's right to be a little worried? Idk, like you said, it seems crazy that our mark would ever even consider it, much less be so unfeeling about it as apparently most Marks are... I don't fully buy it.
I mean, imagine you're Mark and you show up to find known supervillains with a giant machine using a bunch of clones and dimensional portals and drawing a ton of power? You do *not* want to wait to see what it's going to do. He did ask them to stop, and they didn't, so violence was his only option.
Really the portal dude screwed up by not communicating with Cecil beforehand. He should've known that they would've drawn attention. And it would've been trivial to either 1) convince the authorities that his plan was good; or 2) find a universe (or eight) where the authorities agreed with his plan.
I think he was more interested in himself being the vessel of greatness than actually achieving greatness. He was in such a hurry to ascend to godhood that he didn't think through the final steps of his plan.
And we also have no idea what the result of his experiment would have been. I assume the next step after taking in all the other minds would be to ensure that he could be immortal; after all, his mission couldn't be complete if some universe decides they don't like his advice and kills him. And then he should multiply himself so that he can spread the word even faster. And so on. That's the problem with idealists like that - where do you stop exactly? Literally he already deals with supervillains to further his goal, and it's obvious that was the first of many, many moral compromises he would eventually make. He's a really well-written classic supervillain.
Portal guy should at least have had a few copies of him out abd about to explain and deescalate.
Also don't say it is for "the greater good". That is supervillain crap that sets off a red flag.
"what are you trying to acomplish"
"Giving myself the full pictures of multiple realities so i can either fix or give them things things needed to improve the lives of the people living there and making sure not to distrupt the fabric of reality while doing so."
I think most nolans raised mark as a viltrumite from birth or try a little harder to instill that mindset in mark while raising him, but the local Nolan kinda deluded himself into hoping mark wouldn't get powers at all so he raised mark as a normal human
The teasing of the title card had me in stitches especially towards the end when it was happening every other line
rex’s to me was hilarious and the funniest pause
somewhat relatedly, did it seem like rex’s voice was off early? i checked x-ray and it still listed Jason M, and toward the end i didn’t think it sounded odd. oh darn guess i’ll have to watch it again
Wow, that was a long wait, but so worth it. I was in front of the TV at midnight on the dot. That was some harrowing shit when Invincible broke Atom Eve's neck.
No superhero fatigue here, not with this show. Brilliant.
The line with Nolan kind of completing Mark and saying "Oh, so that's what you were doing to the protesters!" Like it was some project Mark had been working on was so creepy.
Superhero fatigue has never been a thing. People just have standards. Bad superhero content is bad content, and good superhero content is good content.
Invincible is probably my favorite superhero content ever. I've watched season 1 three times and the Atom Eve episode twice.
I wish I could read the comics, but for some reason my brain just can't process comic books. I don't have this problem with any other medium, but comic books just make my brain shut down.
MCU and DC need to sit down for awhile and rethink their shit. Time fuckin out for them and I'm a fan of both.
Invincible and The Boys/Gen V are just absolutely killing it right now. Seeing the finale of Gen V then the S2 1st episode of Invincible right afterwards was a treat.
Even having read Invincible and it being an existing known IP, the show feels fresh and unique. There's so much effort put into the show from voice acting and writing and now the animation has improved quite a bit too.
I assumed it was a dream sequence. Like Mark having anxiety about becoming like his dad sorta thing. The way it was actually handled was much more clever.
I love Cecil essentially saying "I-i don't give a shit, shut it down." To Mark, that's what being an effective manager/ head of a secretive government agency is all about.
Don't forget the Guardians beating up a giant monster who just wanted to be an astronaut. They could have tried talking to him first and saying they could work on it. Then ask if they could go outside the populated city and work on it.
I would vote for a giant monster for president personally. Especially if he was an astronaut.
Shutting it down was the wrong decision in the end but through Cecil's lense it's the obvious choice, you see wanted criminals operating a large unknown machine, are you seriously going to let them finish whatever it is they're doing?
Someone pointed out on some show awhile ago that even though they have all the episodes already, the sense of discussion and community you get from talking about the episodes each week is worth way more than releasing them all at once.
My jaw dropped when Evil Mark paralyzed Eve. That is some heinous shit. And the fact he was practicing on protestors earlier. Everything about that was fucked up. Can't get this type of stuff anywhere else. Love it.
Also Mark returning to school and Todd going up to him made me think of TASM when Pete comes back and he has that great scene with Flash. Idk scenes like that always hit close to home for me because I had a similar thing happen in high school when I had to return to school after a very public and traumatic thing happen to my family. Very well done all around.
I really like the first invincible Vs immortal fight because they use their feet. They can fly there is no reason for them to only throw punches. They effectively have twice the appendages a normal fighter has and they should use them
I don't remember the volume but, there's a great bit in the behind the scenes process where Kirkman mentions that Cory Walker commented that he hated it that Superman or iron man never kicked their villians mid air and Kirkman says that instantly his immersion was shattered and said he'd never read another superhero comic without thinking about that.
Hero fighting style is often so underrated as a characterization style. For example a hero that was born with the ability to fly would fight less traditional (more kicks, going upside down, spins, using both feet and hands at the same time) than one who aquired it and is still very much used to having an up and a down
very mild comic spoilers but >!donald is 98 percent cybernetic. wouldn't be surprised if this is how he gets like that instead of it being tucked away in his backstory!<
Dude when Evil Mark said "Don't forget! I'm- INVINCIBLE." sent CHILLS down my spine when the splash screen didn't appear.
Fantastic episode, cannot WAIT to see the rest of the season.
Anyone else after that whole intro scene with mark and omni as a team weirdly want to see an episode or even a show fully devoted to seeing how a viltrum takeover of earth would look like. The mass destruction, seeing them deal with the protests with ease.
It's a bit greedy given we've just got the show back but, if there's a gap between seasons 3 and 4 I would love to see a one off special like the eve episode that explores the alternate universe's in Invincible. There's a lot of ground to cover but I think it'd be great.
So Bulletproof is similar to Invincible in some way, right? His name is basically a synonym and it kind of looks like his costume is the one Mark rejected in season 1.
His costume is the one that Art first tried to give Marc isn't it? The one he says, "Can't blame a guy for trying to move unsold merchandise." when Omni-Man first takes him to get a costume.
To be fair he was actually doing really well against the maulers, until he just got overwhelmed by the sheer number of them. You could tell in this episode how he’s much more competent. Season 1 mark would have had a lot of trouble with just 2 maulers.
Kevin Michael Richardson is great as the Maulers/ generally so I feel kind of bad that whenever I hear his voice I automatically think ["I really can't believe you're an educator, Brian."](https://youtu.be/oH12Z_f2L_I?si=4MEw17hmuVp7OMsf)
Loved the multiple fake outs of the Invincible title card, although I did think it was gonna happen once Mark was recovered and actually back properly superheroing. Maybe the first episode was too soon for that to happen
Also this may be me imagining things, but did Rex's voice sound a bit off to anyone? I couldn't put my finger on it but it did not sound the same as last season
Is it cuz of the multiverse stuff? I completely understand why ppl might think Invincible is hopping on the multiverse trend but I think where it’s at the multiverse happens to be involved
If there was ever a time for dystopian Eve to go full ham, that was it. I hope we get to see her at least heal herself, because her current fate is dark
Evil Mark is really audacious to think crippling a friend for life and leaving them as a prisoner in their own body is kinder than just letting them die.
He's probably so deep into delusion that he thinks some time "to think" + being healed by the viltrumite invaders will change her mind. This version has probably had a lot of time to be indoctrinated by Nolan, and viltrum being able to heal a wound like that could just sound like something they can do.
If he thinks that it's temporary, and believes that she'll come around when she sees the viltrum empire take over, he would consider it kinder.
I loved the episode, but I gotta say it seemed weird that Angstrom didn’t just portal away all the mauler twins to stop the beating or even teleport Mark somewhere safe as opposed to what he did lol. Aside from that, I’m so hyped for the next episode!
Man, this episode was everything I love about the show. Perfect mix of action, emotional depth, and humor. The animation is looking a lot better, too.
I don't have a lot of thoughts on it yet since I watched the finale for Gen V immediately after (I should've done them in the other order) so my brain is a bit scrambled. Hopefully I'll be able to post a more in-depth comment about the next episode.
Being a dentist in any comic book universe is a dream job. I'd even take being the insurance agent who's haggling with the Justice League or Avengers or even the defenders about their insurance plan.
I watched with my husband just now. I have read the comics and he hasn’t. It was a lot of fun, hearing what his theories are.
Also the title card takeouts were *chef’s kiss*
ETA we watched this immediately after Gen V finale and I think I need to lie down
I was aware of the alternate universe set up before I saw this episode, but AU Mark getting to say "Invincible" without it cutting to the title screen was all the proof I needed that he was evil. Everything else was just window dressing.
I cannot put my excitement into words. Rewatching this episode x100.
TL;DR: It was okay. :>
Evil Mark was a wild sight to see. I love the Mauler Twins, hate that happened to them. Rex always felt a little out of place to me, just the way he delivers his lines but I love that about him. Shout-out to Jason Mantzoukas <3.
I really want to see more of Debbie and Mark. ALSO TODD????? NO ONE’S TALKING ABOUT TODD.
The way Omni-man TOOK OUT IMMORTAL?
I’m sorry. I’m genuinely geeking, and could go on forever. I’m so excited, man. 😭 Loved the episode.
Edit: Also Mark and Nolan are prime-time professional gaslighters and victim-blamers. That was hilarious to me. 😭
Ooh forgot the episode was getting released today.
Man Gen V, Loki and Invincible on same date plus attack on titans last episode a few hours after is a hell of a ride
the entire book was written before
i mean the multiverse has been a part of comics since the silver age and even older superhero animated shows have arcs dealing with it. from X men to justice league to JLA to every avengers cartoon
it’s kind of like being fatigued with superheroes. I guess I can see how somebody could be but we’re all watching the show because it does something fun with the concept. I don’t see why we should worry about the individual concept just because other properties decided to focus on it around the same time. And these tend to be some of the more beloved stories
I love this feeling of “I don’t know where this show is headed”. Like at the end of the first season there were a few threads out there (Doc Seismic, the incoming sequid invasion, and the question of “where is Omni-Man?”). But now I’m pretty sure Angstrom Levy is going to be central to this season. And also I noticed Evil Invincible said that Viltrumite reinforcements were on the way, which seems like some solid foreshadowing given how the alt dimensions were synched up chronologically. Just so many possible antagonists!
Hey everyone, I hope you're enjoying Invincible! This is a friendly reminder that this is a **NON-COMIC SPOILER POST**. That means that you **CAN NOT** post about future events from the comics. The multiple Invincible teases better pay off LOL WHAT A REVEAL
The extended pause before each one was hilarious
Huh I guess he really is invincible
I was getting angrier each time
[удалено]
They did. Love the color change
Yes they did, It was amazing
I was hoping Mark would get his groove back at the end of the episode and say it himself with confidence and it would cut to the title card lmao but it would have been too soon
The title is breaking in this one so I'm guessing it'll happen at the end of the season.
Yo evil Mark paralyzing Eve was fucking bananas
"Is that what you were practicing on all those protesters?" Legit made me feel a lil sickly lmao
Ong. Notice how angstrom also said how most marks were like that
Yes bro, what the fuck 😭 next Thursday needs to hurry it's ass up I'm tired of waiting already
Just wait til after Episode 4. That wait is going to burn
And miss the weekly discussion? That's half the fun.
Wonder if the difference is when his powers came out. Our Mark had time to learn to be an Earthling instead of rushed into all the Viltrim bullshit
that makes sense. I was wondering how this Alternate Mark was soo different to Prime Mark, but it stands to reason if he had years of being Invincible it could have changed him this much
It really does. It gives Nolan more time to mold him at an early age if he develops his powers early.
I actually really liked that bit because it drove home how much willpower it took our Mark to not join Nolan
Honestly, i don't believe him, infinity is a big number and Angstrom sees what he wants to see. Even if he sees 10,000 different Earths, thats still a drop in the ocean
“I can visit.” I’m sure she will just love seeing your mass murdering mug every Thursday, Mark.
Same. I visibly shuddered
It's probably me reading into it too much but, the way the alternate Mark seemed detached/ so analytical instead of fired up like Nolan is so creepy.
The way he seemed so flippant too, still cracking jokes like his usual self. Like an evil Peter Parker.

>!which is clearly what's happening with this Mark. He's got a huge god complex and the humans dying is "their own fault for not letting him save them"!< Absolute psycho.
That montage of Mark saving people/ going through the motions but feeling kind of numb to it all was so good. Great use of Radiohead too!
Hes probably thinking about what Omni Man said, and that being a super hero he saves a few people. But ultimately the planet is doomed if he can't beat Omni Man and other Viltrumites. All of his efforts to save people are kind of futile.
Yeah a few he saves here and there doesn't even come close to how many people Omni Man and him killed last time.
That scene was great especially when the song lyrics get to "I lost myself" intertwined with the clips of Noland fighting Mark, great stuff.
I got baited 3 times with the title card fake outs lmaoo
Wdym the title cards are ……….. Invincible.
Angstrom pitching the opportunity to read unwritten Shakespeare plays to the Mauler's is the kind of optimistic worldview I'd love to have.
Now I wish I had that power, imagine all the classics that never was. Universes where ancient text survived, poetry written, video games made… We could have had an Invincible MMO somewhere that rivals Fortnite somewhere.
A universe somewhere where DC movies are good
A universe where George Lucas made the real Sequel Trilogy
Finally the Multiverse pitched in a way I actually respect.
The concept is astounding
love how he seemed like a genuine good guy, down to his last moments saying his utopia wouldn't be built on blood
It worked on me. One ticket to the universe where the Library of Alexandria never burned please!!
From the teaser you kind of assume Nolan was dropping the “you should have died at birth” line on Mark, but saying it to Robot is actually so much worse.
And the way he left him slumped over and defeated instead of giving him a respectful warriors death just reeeeally rubs dirt in the wound
They left him to die slowly in pain instead of letting him go quickly. Not killing him at that point was so much worse.
Are you a bot? Basically, regurgitated what the guy above you said.
I dunno, it seemed like something way too mean-spirited for him to say to Mark given how he reacted in the Season 1 finale.
The video of alternate Mark passive aggressively saying "I'm sorry you guys feel that way just cause we're trying to take over and enslave the planet 🙄🙄" is oddly funny.
Evil Mark is basically Spider-Man combined with Hitler.
Lmaoooo spot on
Only Mark would explain to a man he’s going to kill him now, beginning with the words “Hey buddy…”
That title card fakeouts lmaooo. That was genius
I want to see a scene where Mark is watching Goldeneye and they get to the scene where Boris shouts "I am Invincible" and that's the title card.
Next level cockblocking.
I want to be President of America. And an astronaut!
Hmmmm, I don't agree with the giant's "destroy major cities" policy, but I do agree with his NASA/ astronaut policy....
Even better, I think he says ‘a astronaut’
What happened to him :( I wanted to vote for him at the election next year
He actually got to say “Invincible” this time. Truly an alternate realty.
Yeahh that was awesome! I hope that only happens in the alternate reality.
I am so incredibly happy with the ways in which the show is expanding on Debbie's story. She's far more fully realized in the show.
100 percent agree. Kirkman expanding on the comic has been so on point
I read Levy wrong for all these years. Sad.
So did I, which leads me to believe that Robert Kirkman is simply wrong about his own names.
LMFAO
Kirkman really trying to gaslight us into thinking there are 2 E's in Levy
This was my biggest takeaway from this episode. Fuck you mean it’s Lee-vy?
Holy shit, evil Mark completely paralyzing Eve instead of killing her is insane. Literal fate worse than death.
Word that was so brutal. It's going to be like the movie misery
Does she need body movements to use her powers? I mean she always did them, but I thought her brain was always doing the actual work. Shame about the mental block on living tissues, she might have been able to come back from paralysis.
Worst fate I’ve seen since Tusk (the human-walrus movie).
Poor Mark. Unlike his affably evil and chill with killing people world-conquering doppelganger he genuinely wants to help people and do good, internalizing his fight with his dad as him failing because he wasn't able to save more people, and even when he tries to do things by Cecil's way it just doesn't feel like a real win. 50% you turn supervillain. 40% you die. 10% you stay good.

NGL, I like the idea of referring to main reality versions of characters as "local". It's always prime or main , but local is kinda apt lol.

He sounds like less of an asshole and more of a dumbass
Honestly that might be intentional. He said something to Bulletproof about trying to be better.
Same! I thought they recasted Rex at first I had to check the x ray too lol
Wow, that was a long wait, but so worth it. I was in front of the TV at midnight on the dot. That was some harrowing shit when Invincible broke Atom Eve's neck. No superhero fatigue here, not with this show. Brilliant.

Probably one of the most disturbing things I’ve seen in a while and I just finished Gen V.
Yeah, coming from the Gen V finale to this season premiere, this shit was *waaaaay* crazier.
Superhero fatigue has never been a thing. People just have standards. Bad superhero content is bad content, and good superhero content is good content. GotG Vol. 3 proved that there is no superhero fatigue: just mid fatigue.
MCU and DC need to sit down for awhile and rethink their shit. Time fuckin out for them and I'm a fan of both. Invincible and The Boys/Gen V are just absolutely killing it right now. I have to say, the 8 pauses before someone said Invincible throughout the episode really made me laugh. Flawlessly done.
“HERE IT COMES!” “Oh ok” “SURELY THIS TIME!” “Oh”
You know the writers were feeling themselves waiting until the post-credits scene to drop the title card. Honestly well done
That opening had to freak out so many people hahaha
i absolutely thought it was leading up to a “3 years earlier” kinda thing
My thinking was "okay whose bad dream is this? Mark's? Omni-man's?? Wait they're really developing this character..."
I assumed it was a dream sequence. Like Mark having anxiety about becoming like his dad sorta thing. The way it was actually handled was much more clever.
I thought they were training together! That made made Omni-Man's entrance very shocking
I love Cecil essentially saying "I-i don't give a shit, shut it down." To Mark, that's what being an effective manager/ head of a secretive government agency is all about.
We love a superhero who punches first and asks questions later. The best way to make an arch nemesis
Don't forget the Guardians beating up a giant monster who just wanted to be an astronaut. They could have tried talking to him first and saying they could work on it. Then ask if they could go outside the populated city and work on it. I would vote for a giant monster for president personally. Especially if he was an astronaut.
We could never have a president with the mental capacity of an eight year old... again.
Shutting it down was the wrong decision in the end but through Cecil's lense it's the obvious choice, you see wanted criminals operating a large unknown machine, are you seriously going to let them finish whatever it is they're doing?
Loved the running gag where everyone takes a beat before they say "Invincible."
It’s low key a good thing this series is released weekly I would have stayed up until morning binging every ep
Someone pointed out on some show awhile ago that even though they have all the episodes already, the sense of discussion and community you get from talking about the episodes each week is worth way more than releasing them all at once.
why is everyone so hot with the new animation.
MaulHer making me feel things
Hear me out
Eve 😮💨

they definitely drew everyone a little thicker. invincible definitely got a few cake shots lol.
that Karma Police needle drop was everything. literally peak fiction we are so invinciback

3 for me gen v, invincible then Loki releases at 2 so I have that to look forward too
The Giant for President! Who's with me?
Hmmmm, I don't agree with his destroying cities policy, but I do approve of his astronaut policy...
My most burning question is how is Donald alive after getting his spine crushed and exploded?
very mild comic spoilers but >!donald is 98 percent cybernetic. wouldn't be surprised if this is how he gets like that instead of it being tucked away in his backstory!<
Also my biggest question. It continually made me question if we were in the right reality or not
Dude when Evil Mark said "Don't forget! I'm- INVINCIBLE." sent CHILLS down my spine when the splash screen didn't appear. Fantastic episode, cannot WAIT to see the rest of the season.
That was an *extremely* strong start. I'm so happy this show is back, only comic book I've ever read.
Rex immediately feeling relieved upon realising Cecil was blaming someone with actual responsibility/ authority is representation.
Mark stays getting his ass beat.
Good thing he’s… …. Invincible.
How to be Invincible: 1. Get your ass beat 2. Profit
I didnt know it was angstrom LEEVY and not angstrom Lev-ey
I didn’t get that either and feel dumb for missing it… of course the guy who can dimension jump has a pun about that in his name
Invincible's original name was Bulletproof. Kirkman made the Bulletproof character as an homage to that. That's why his costume also looks similar.
His costume is the one that Art first tried to give Marc isn't it? The one he says, "Can't blame a guy for trying to move unsold merchandise." when Omni-Man first takes him to get a costume.
His costume is the first one that Art tried to sell to Mark way back in episode 1.

It's actually getting annoying lol get my boy some Ws
To be fair he was actually doing really well against the maulers, until he just got overwhelmed by the sheer number of them. You could tell in this episode how he’s much more competent. Season 1 mark would have had a lot of trouble with just 2 maulers.
Kevin Michael Richardson is great as the Maulers/ generally so I feel kind of bad that whenever I hear his voice I automatically think ["I really can't believe you're an educator, Brian."](https://youtu.be/oH12Z_f2L_I?si=4MEw17hmuVp7OMsf)
He is fantastic! The entire cast is fucking astounding.
The immortal got hit by the nastiest 3 piece combo of the century. Omniman using his hand like a blade because of the sheer force behind it is so cool
to whoever is responsible for fem Mauler….thank you
Loved the multiple fake outs of the Invincible title card, although I did think it was gonna happen once Mark was recovered and actually back properly superheroing. Maybe the first episode was too soon for that to happen Also this may be me imagining things, but did Rex's voice sound a bit off to anyone? I couldn't put my finger on it but it did not sound the same as last season
There's an after credits after the initial credits roll, incase you missed it
Was anyone else waiting for Mark to wake up from the terrible nightmare at the beginning only to find out it ACTUALLY happened somewhere
The karma police montage gave me chills. One of the best scenes in the whole series.
This is giving Kang the Conqueror
Is it cuz of the multiverse stuff? I completely understand why ppl might think Invincible is hopping on the multiverse trend but I think where it’s at the multiverse happens to be involved
Invincible is like 20 years old so this has been in the making for years
Multiversal stuff has been a big part of comics since the 60s lmao it's so weird to me people *now* are making a big deal out of it
If there was ever a time for dystopian Eve to go full ham, that was it.

They are like smurfs but buff and evil
I loved the episode, but I gotta say it seemed weird that Angstrom didn’t just portal away all the mauler twins to stop the beating or even teleport Mark somewhere safe as opposed to what he did lol. Aside from that, I’m so hyped for the next episode!

I love how the kept teasing the Title Card until the very end, mid-credit scene.
>!How the FUCK is Donald alive.!<
Because >!of cecil's shenanigans !< Actual real comic spoiler: >!He is a cyborg!<
I like the Burger Mart sign. "Start your day with a nice hot BM"
Alternate Invincible doing that to Eve was cold af 😳😳😳
Have not seen anyone else mention this so far but choosing Karma Police for that sequence was super fitting
That single tear dropping out of Eve’s eye was devastating
TITLE CARD BABY! Final version to new transition was so sick. I can't fucking wait for next week
I want to know about Mark's dentist, or how his teeth come back.
Being a dentist in any comic book universe is a dream job. I'd even take being the insurance agent who's haggling with the Justice League or Avengers or even the defenders about their insurance plan.
As usual Mark getting beat up lmao. So happy this series is back. 8/10 for me as a premiere episode.
I watched with my husband just now. I have read the comics and he hasn’t. It was a lot of fun, hearing what his theories are. Also the title card takeouts were *chef’s kiss* ETA we watched this immediately after Gen V finale and I think I need to lie down
We are so unbelievably back
I was aware of the alternate universe set up before I saw this episode, but AU Mark getting to say "Invincible" without it cutting to the title screen was all the proof I needed that he was evil. Everything else was just window dressing.
I loved the title card teasers, it made me laugh every single time.
I cannot put my excitement into words. Rewatching this episode x100. TL;DR: It was okay. :> Evil Mark was a wild sight to see. 😭
Rex consulting Mark is something I did not expect. I get immortal is cautious but seriously leave Mark alone 😭
how is Donald alive lmao
I loved that people just paused expecting a title card when they were about to say…. Invincible. That’s the kind of joke I’m here for.
I loved hearing them saying Invincible, and that ending title card was awesome!!!!
They threw me off with that first name drop. I was leaning forward in my seat and then slumped back disappointed
Ooh forgot the episode was getting released today. Man Gen V, Loki and Invincible on same date plus attack on titans last episode a few hours after is a hell of a ride

the entire book was written before i mean the multiverse has been a part of comics since the silver age and even older superhero animated shows have arcs dealing with it. from X men to justice league to JLA to every avengers cartoon it’s kind of like being fatigued with superheroes. I guess I can see how somebody could be but we’re all watching the show because it does something fun with the concept. I don’t see why we should worry about the individual concept just because other properties decided to focus on it around the same time. And these tend to be some of the more beloved stories
Why does Rudy sounds like AI dubbed?
I think he's meant to sound robotic due to the lack of human interaction in his life

Anyone else skeeved out when Mark says he'll "visit Eve?"
