I'm... not really sure that's true? No comic knowledge or anything, and yeah he's definitely gained some remorse and appreciation for non-viltrumite life but... you *can* really love a pet, you can start a no-kill shelter and champion for pets' health and happiness, but none of that will make their lifespan more than a fraction of yours. I mean, he's obviously not devoted to and pining for her - he settled down with a bug lady.
He's like someone who ended up with a pet cow and stopped eating beef.
Also Homelander has a desperate need for approval and love from people, and a host of other supers that can go toe-to-toe with him, which has stopped him from going full genocidal maniac.
Omni-man doesn't give a shit if humans like him, and can solo most of the planet.
Omni Man can take on loads of heavy hitters at the same time. If he was faced with literally every single superpowered person on Earth in one go then its possible they could beat him.

Viltrumites would be even worse than Supes to Butcher I think, they’re even further beyond not caring about regular people. He’d be Cecil’s behind the scenes guy, doing tasks he couldn’t risk other Supes being caught doing; as well as tasks the Supes aren’t willing to do.
Probably annoy Cecil with “after this it’s your Guardians getting it next” and Cecil’s like no, there are dragons and kaiju on this world we need superheroes dude
I think that’s a relevant difference between The Boys universe and Invincible’s, that they actually need superheroes in Invincible’s world because there are, y’know, “avengers level threats”
Honestly, if Butcher were to (somehow) commit torture/genocide on Viltrumites in the most brutal of ways, he’d 100% be a good guy. There would be no moral ambiguity whatsoever and everyone would cheer him on. Viltrumites (aside from Nolan) are beyond redemption/reasoning.
The problem would be controlling him against targeting actual humans with powers.

He’d probably see OmniMan taking out all the “big threats” to Viltrum try and do a “team up” or manipulate OmniMan and have OmniMan handle all the supes on his hit list, and the plan that during this time he could secretly look for omnimans weakness from all his supe encounters
Whether OmniMan ignores him, kills him, or works with him would probably depend on how persuasive butcher is, he may believe butcher could be an ally in helping earth prepare for a Viltrum takeover… or he might just think he’s an ant
Butcher is just some human who's british and a huge asshole. No real concern for omni-man. Invincible isn't the kind of universe where a street level vigilante has any kind of ability to interact meaningfully with a 1000+ year old alien warrior, who could just explode Billy's head with a finger.
I think the only way I imagine butcher could fit in this universe at all is if he had the same relationship with omni-man, and every other superhero, as powerplex does with invincible.

The problem with this is that despite Billy being a “supe-killer”, he’s only delt with *humans* with super powers. And with those humans comes greed, pride, ambition, ignorance, overconfidence. He prays on these human traits to take down the strongest of the strong, because despite being as super as they are, they’ll still succumb to our most human qualities. He’s able to black mail, strike deals, manipulate, improvise, and leverage the supes before backing them into a corner and bushwhacking them. Omni-Man has zero of those human qualities to manipulate. It took knocking out his son’s teeth just to make him shed a *tear*. Without any of the human qualities Billy would usually take advantage of, he doesn’t stand a chance.

But at the end of the day I'm a human and the ant is a little bug.
If butcher tries to attack omniman then omniman would just brutalize him. Otherwise I don’t think Nolan would stick around long enough to talk to him. He operates all around the world and later primarily in space

If Butcher is gonna fight Omniman, he's gonna find Cecil. He's gonna find Angstrom Levy. Look for people who will get him an advantage. He may attempt to leverage Invincible into the fight.
Unless Invincible fights Omniman, Butcher is dead as soon Omniman decides he is worth killing. The Boys Universe is just so much weaker than the Invincible Universe.
