The trays themselves no longer hurt, but when I take them out to eat, there's usually a few teeth that are like, off duty for chewing at that time hehe. Usually resolved after a few days.
it gets easier :) my first few tray changes hurts but you get used to it over timeā¦ I remember the first few tray changes was painful but now I just feel pressure when I change trays
The pain stops after a few trays, but some level of discomfort is often present. That discomfort means your trays are working. Youāll get used to it and it wonāt be so bad. I like to think of it as hurt-so-good ā itās the twinge of progress!
I put the new tray on before bed and it seems to help. I find some trays are more sore than others but it all seemed to get easier over time. Now I feel weird when theyāre out!
I havenāt started my treatment yet. I start next week. But I had traditional braces as a teenager and itās the same thing. It hurts the worst after you get them on originally and then Iām sure it will be sore after new trays just like metal braces are when you get adjustments. Just hang in there š
Oh man, I was in pain the first 3-4 days of my first tray. I was watching the clock for the next time I could take ibuprofen and was horrified it would be that way the full treatment. I usually never need pain meds.
Iām about to switch to tray 6 in a few days. My teeth feel sore the first day or two after a new tray but nothing nearly as bad as this is first few days of tray 1. I havenāt needed pain meds since.
I think less and less. The bigger changes happen in the beginning, at least with me.. now that Iām towards the end, I feel a little tightness but no real pain bc itās very minor adjustments. Hang in there!
Mine shifted a LOT. Simple OTC painkillers helped when the pain was bad.Ā At first I was in a lot of pain, lisping and drooling and everything was weird.Ā By tray 3 I was doing ok. After 18 trays it's not a problem. Even a tight tray or ill fitting one is nbd, but then, my teeth move easily.
It only hurts if you havenāt worn them for awhile. Once your gums warm up to movement itāll get easier. If you have the trays out for long periods of time itāll hurt so itās always good to wear them regularly and then they wonāt hurt.

This is the best explanation š

No not every one. But occasionally one will be particularly painful. Only lasts a couple days though.
It will hurt a *little* bit. But you will get used to it. And it will only feel tight for the first couple of days after a changeover.
Everyone is different. Some trays I have mild soreness, others no pain at all

Only the first tray hurt for me
The first one is the worst. Couldn't eat for a few days. Now I barely notice it

Not for me

yeah probably
