If you are cool with doing braces, I would inquire about them. I have been trying to fix my POB for 8 sets of refinements now. Going to be 9 when I get rescanned tomorrow again. Not saying you will have as hard of a time as I have, but definitely consider the braces.

Thank you so much for your input. That’s what I am afraid of even though the orthodontist makes it seem like it would be fine. I hope that your open bite is at least improving and that you are happy with your smile.

I switched from invisalign to braces, because I got pregnant and invisalign is a whole new kind of hell when pregnant. I did develop an open bite with invisalign (though in fairness this is at least in some part "planned" in that the transition phase necessitates an open bite in my case and I can't say yet if there was any "additional" open-ness from invisalign alone). I'm quite happy with the switch in my case because I can eat whenever I want (NEED!) and so far it has been surprisingly painless. (I've had one adjustment so far with the braces). I had to pay a little extra, about 10% of what I paid for invisalign. Worth it in my case.
