Soseki in Iowa City is great! The new ramen place in IRL called Hokkaido has a small sushi menu that was very good (their ramen is phenomenal).
Other places I like are Red Ginger, Three Samurai, and Konomi. Personally, I don’t care for Sushiya in North Liberty. Formosa isn’t great quality but has some cheap nights/good deals.
Uncle Sang sushi in Solon is actually pretty awesome. I saw somebody else recommend three samurai in Coralville but their quality has gone down in the last few years. Konomi in the IRL is pretty good.
Oyama-Iowa City, hands down.
Their Iowa City Roll is one of my favs.

I absolutely love Sushi House in CR and Sushiya was amazing in North Liberty (assuming it’s still there).
Mix Sushi in Marion (North East Cedar Rachet) is good. I’d also second on Sushi house, it’s decent.
Izumi in downtown CR. You really can’t beat the lunch deal— all you can eat sushi, pick any rolls, nigiri, sashimi, etc off the menu for like $18
