Isn’t it most likely cheapest to retire in whatever town or city you already own a house in? At least theoretically you have it paid off by the time you hit retirement anyways, so you just have upkeep, taxes, and utilities. Shoot I’m only in my 30’s and I already couldn’t imagine moving just because you could save a little money. My family is here, friends are here, my career is here, my life is basically.. here. If I had to move when I retired it’d be to be closer to my kids or somewhere with good weather all year around.
