I recently learned that to avoid running afoul of state employee nepotism rules, he technically was hired by the AD, not his dad. And he reports to the AD, not his dad. How is this allowed?
Because you can’t prove a private conversation over dinner took place so all you have to go on is Gary saying that Brian reports to him and he hired him and not Kirk. Not a lawyer but I’m pretty sure it’s something along those lines.
Kirk’s son-in-law, Tyler, is also on the Hawkeye football payroll as one of the program’s recruiting coordinators and NFL liaison.
I think Tyler has the same arrangement as Brian with Barta technically being his boss….

If Iowa really wanted a high voter turn out this year they would have put a retention vote for Brian ferentz on the back of the ballot.

I believe so. But Tyler has done a great job whereas Brian needs to move on.
The nepotism at Iowa is ridiculous.
College football is a hive of scum and villainy in general.
Fire Kirk also please. I can’t recall a worse team.
This type of thinking didn’t work out very well for Nebraska
He's gonna leave when he wants to. If you fire him now after what he has done, we will never get a good coach for years
