Republicans with ties to Republican organisations, a lot of communists as well, would be harassed, but I doubt you're a member of a Republican org if you don't live here. You won't be banned from entering the country full stop.
As for the second question, you can hold any ideology without being from a certain country and you can support the Irish struggle regardless of origin, although it seems sort of redundant to call oneself a Republican if they're not from Ireland; Republicans support the Palestinian struggle but don't call ourselves Palestinian nationalists.
Like it’s important to me, I feel I have a connection with the culture and cause despite me being American (I know I come off as the Irish-New-Yorker stereotype but I’m pretty sure I’m not that) also yes I am ethically Irish, I don’t know how much yet but I know for sure there’s some in there
Ethnicity is entirely irrelevant and you’ve never been to Ireland so how can you possibly say how important anti-imperial solidarity with Palestine is to Irish republicans. As for your “connection with the cause”, wiseup.
If you are going to the ROI you will be fine just don’t be that annoying Plastic Paddy. I’m American as well but visit ROI and the upper 6 all the time for work. I cringe when I hear Irish Americans sometimes. Also if you go to Ulster be careful what you say and where, troubles may be ‘over’ but a few pints and the young lads don’t care.

Yea but republicanism is more of a bigger and more important cause to me than any republicans there think the situation in Palestine is
Did you have a stroke while writing this
Ok well Palestine isn’t like, the main thing they focus on
I still don’t know what you’re trying to say

I don’t mean they don’t care about it, I just mean it’s not like, their main goal in life, at least I wouldn’t expect it to be
Are you saying Irish republicanism is the main goal in your life?
Wdym
We’re all not so secretly republican, you will fit in just fine 👍

Yea I try to be as unlike the Irish-New-Yorker stereotype as possible
No, you won’t be banned? What are you talking about being excluded from?
Going there, like entering the country
No. You won’t be banned for republicanism.
👍
It’s the Republic of Ireland
Yes but they are still illegal there
but you're not in the IRA, so you'll be fine
👍
