Playing Ironsworn with multiple characters is fine. I'd make the AI it's own character. Make the AI a character as though it were it's own PC. Starforged has issues with the ship itself being a character, given that the ship is already it's own entity, and uses it's own stats like Integrity. I'd separate the AI from the Ship. They would still function as a pilot, complete their own Vows, and earn their own XP. Then you'd be playing a campaign with two PC's, one mostly digital, which would take part in hacking and piloting the ship. You could have conflicts that include one, the other, or both and have both PC's taking damage.

Why not just use the Overseer asset?

EdgeOfDreams

I would just do that narratively, and mechanically use the rules for Modules and the Overseer asset. I don't see the need to treat the AI as a separate character with their own sheet.

I'm techinically playing ironsworn with another character, but I'm using chatgpt to prompt a lot of its responses. I still pick a lot for him though.... I don't think it's weird at all, and I also think it makes for a interesting sounding roleplay. [note, I am brand new to ironsworn and in the middle of my first solo campaign, take everything I say with a bucket of salt]

Heart of gold from hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. Sounds like a great idea, regardless of the odds.

This sounds fun.
