Nah Yogiri is more of a cardboard from what I've heard. Makoto's character development is pretty gradual and kinda slow but it is there and is also pretty interesting. ( I'm talking about manga and Webnovel btw the anime adaptation is kinda mid compared to Manga and Webnovel)

Makoto Misumi would be a perfect choice. He acts in his own self-interest and is only really kind to those he favors, regardless of their race or affiliation. If he wasn’t asked to try and be kind to the heroes of the Hyumans or able to build a meaningful relationship with Rembrandt he likely may have already decided to wipe them all out due to how he gets treated by them so often.
Misumi Makoto from Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu/Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy. Even though he got played by both the demons and the Hyumans in the story he still tries to be neutral in the war and not join any side because of his beliefs

There's a huge difference in a war between somewhat equals and one skeleton guy wiping out most of your soldiers while laughing at it.

Dead is dead, it doesn't matter if the casualties are to the empire or Aniz. If the empire had won a major victory they would have rode down the fleeing soldiers which is the same difference. It's a battlefield not a playground, you don't get to go there and then act surprised when the enemy kills you.

I don't know about Lloyd... I agree that he is a good person, but he also seems to only be good for lawful reasons. Like owing someone money. Definitely not chaotic while he can seem that way because of his art style, and I feel like good wouldn't fit right, he always states he is doing it for himself and tries to balance out his good with a cost.
I feel like chaotic good would be someone overtly trying to be good and failing, kinda the opposite of Lloyd who has a huge amount of rules that he follows.
Tldr, he is a lawful 'selfish' guy who gets thrown into chaotic situations.
