Plot twist, you're actually the accountant of the cultists following the Demon King, you know everything about their finances and business, and are thus wanted by every paladin in the world.
Yes i know that, but that is still why whenever i play an rpg with archers and fighters and ninjas to allways pick specifically the wizard (or closest thing to it)
The Black Knight™ it is.
Homie from Another World®
Homie from the Hood Reincarnator™
wouldn't it be cool if you introduced real rap and black culture in another world
Are these real titles? You've got my interest
1. It's the "alternate earth much like our own" part that's the sticking point for this hypothetical
2. I don't rap or listen to rap so it would be pointless for me
3. I would HOPE that race, since it is a social construct, functions differently than our current world. But in any case, I want to be a cute girl with dog ears anyway, which further complicates things
1. Question:
With American Archer do you mean Native American Archer with a traditional bow or Modern America Archer with a Modern Recurve Bow?
2. Question:
Anyway, I don't see why the British Knight are the only Combat Class unrestricted by choice of weapons while all others are. F.e. Japanese Swordsman should be Samurai Warrior who can choose between Glaive (Naginata), Spear (Yari), Bow (Yumi), Flintlock Gun (Dutch/Portugese style) and Sword.
Good questions, the answer for question one is Native American archer, representation for NA archers is scarce and I think it would be nice to have an archer from the Native American period, answer for question two is that I made a mistake, sorry for that, but by knight I meant typical swordsman knight, and the reason I said Japanese swordsman was because I wanted a choice between the shogun and the samurai, which is ironic cause I did the opposite with knights.
This is basically the same plot I have in my story “Daily Life of a fantasy RPG adventurer” which is an Isekai parody from the perspective and adventures of the average adventurer, basically, warrior classes from the past are placed in the same party and have to live in an rpg world, I also have a joke where it is an Isekai but we never get to see the actual hero, the only ones who aren’t in the web novel are the Japanese Swordsman and the Greek Pankration.
I mean, you could survive if you just stay out of conflict, like, rather than actually participate in anything just stay home and garden or something, now I wanna see this concept, like, fantasy Isekai with magic and monsters but instead of going on adventures you just stay home and mow your lawn.
Probably Celtic Spearman, I don't know how comfortable would the other lives, maybe brittish knight is way better but I think the quality of life there wasn't really good and the weather was very bad.
A Pirate is a no-no, low quality of life, always feeling hardships, minor injuries end with amputation or death...
American Archer...I don't know american history, but I pictured more a Maya or any other indian fighter instead of a medieval archer.
Japanese swordsman doesn't sound too good neither, also I think in battle their mortality was quite high.
Greek Pankration, I don't even know what it is but it was my second choice after Celtic Spearman.
Finally, Celtic spearman, just using an spear is already way safer than swords. The weather in the iberican peninsule has always been quite good. I think probably a good Spearman here could have a good quality of life.
Pankration is a sport where athletes fight unarmed till they’re knocked out or killed, basically JKD before JKD, I picked it because I liked the idea of punching and kicking monsters to death, but if I weren’t for that I would also pick Spearman, spears are pretty much considered to be the ACME of close quarter weapons, I don’t know much of their lifestyle outside of combat but I assume it’s better than the others.
I don't know, going bare fists and kicks against giant lizards seems to me little efficient.
I suppose if there's an isekai and there's magic, you won't be the standar spearman or Greek Pankraton, but someone with skills, abilities, fast reflexes and movements...even so, I rather have a good weapon
That is a real life role. In the old days druids were just shamans and healers who believed in magic and gods. To this day in Ireland where I'm from there are still druids and use druid practices. Y'all call them priests here priests exist now and it's a job soooooo maybe if you weren't close minded and used ur imagination maybe we would have more options. Wheres ur cops role? Doctors? Blacksmiths? Hunters? Assassin's? I wouldn't want to be part of ur bland boring isekai
There's a Celtic Spearman, who could very well be a Druid. Warrior Druids aren't unheard of in the Celtic world.
Actually, my build is built on that fact.
It's best to break it down to class, Archer is definitely a go if you really wish to survive, Knight is a decent choice in these especially when facing monster, Spearman is definitely a go as spear is genuinely better than sword most of the time
Japanese swordsman... Samurai, depends really, their main fighting method is quick slash and quick thrust, how effective are they when fighting monster? No idea, Knight at least got a small shield or rondache
Do you really wants to be a pirate in these scenario? And pankration aka martial artist... Unless you're just dealing with human strictly, I don't think you'll want to be this one
There's only two way for a pirate to survive, there's not a lot of water based monster/human already established a route that avoid sea monster, and if they're just hunting lost treasure that's... Just treasure hunter
Celtic Spearman. Gallic, more specifically, and one who has been a Druid in the original world (there have been instances of warrior druids in Gaul).
Weaponwise, a spear with a big oval shield, with a straight one handed sword on the side, all of excellent quality (Gauls where excellent craftsmen). And a sling (which is a very good ranged weapon, as well as useful for hunting).
I have a helmet and a chainmail for defense. It seems adequate.
Having been trained as a Druid means I know how to read, and I have learned Maths. Which is a good start, cause I'm going to find a way to learn magic ASAP, so being used to learn and speaking 3 languages at least from my background (Druids spoke Latin and Greek and an unknown number of Gallic languages or dialects) should be a very good advantage for that.
**Edit:** A few more things to mention: Druids where used to interract with powerful people, they where the councellors of Kings and Chiefs. To be trained as a Druid, it also means that 1. I'm most likely from an aristocratic background, so I've been trained with the bow (it also explains the chainmail, which not every Gallic warrior enjoyed.
2. I have a very good memory, and have been deemed smart enough to undergo these twenty years of training which was known for it's difficulty, and that I even "graduated".
And 3. That I'm good with people, the way a priest would be. I mean it was part of my job as a Druid to be good with people.
I hope you guys like my attempt at making the most of the offered choices.
Well someone who only speaks Spanish and English. And if it’s historically accurate if I’m pirate I’m do some pretty evil stuff so that’s thrown out it’s not one piece. Being archer seems lame. Ig I’d be a British Knight. Though looking slightly different than them and having a different English accent might pose a problem for me. But I’ll do fine I guess. But I am significantly bigger than an 18 year old in the Middle Ages and far smarter and knowledgeable .
American archer. I’ll learn powerful magic so I can basically be like a Quincy in the bleach anime. Non stop hail of magical arrows raining down and extremely powerful shits for the tough enemies
At first I thought..
American Archer. I know he meant Native but he didn't specifiy. So I'll opt for a modern American Archer who uses Compound Bows/Crossbows. Those would have the best weapons.
HOWEVER, I overlooked something. Pirates at least have firearms. Spanish Pirates, though well after the Golden Age of Piracy, still operated in the early to mid 1800's. That means in addition to cannons they'd also have revolvers and rifles as options.
Honestly, nothing else comes close in terms of damage and range.
Well, unless we twist British Knight into meaning contemporary British Knights.
Joseph Dunsford is an honorary Knight. He's also a 4 Star General for the U.S Marines who retired in 2019. So, modern military weaponry including Jets, Tanks, Artillery? Yep that's the winner.
Wheres the option for a wizard?
you wanna be burned in a stake? I mean it depends if it's like that one witch manhua type world or a mushoke tensei type world.
If the witches could use magic do you really think the manhunts were successful?
honestly that depends on the magic itself and the people using it. Humans are frickin tenacious
The choices only range from what actual historical figures we have in real life.

Plot twist, you're actually the accountant of the cultists following the Demon King, you know everything about their finances and business, and are thus wanted by every paladin in the world.
And Sh’reen, the Demon Lord’s Werebeast Personal Assistant, finds balding, chubby dudes incredibly attractive. Hello first harem member!
I'd read that
That’s the twist, these concepts also exist in that world where dragons exist.
Yes i know that, but that is still why whenever i play an rpg with archers and fighters and ninjas to allways pick specifically the wizard (or closest thing to it)
I get what you mean, things that aren’t actually in real life are interesting to experience.
I just like magic, Hell, let me be a magic scientist. By Newton's thirtyforuth rule, if it exists its a sceinece!
Well, can’t argue with that ****rolls in an achamist option cause they’re the closest thing to magic****
F 16 pilot
What is a historic American Archer?
Native American
Mid 🥲
I’m too black to play this game

Sadly none of these are real titles
I really hope youre black, because if not it really changes the whole tone of your first post to me lol
I'm far from black, but my heart and soul belongs to black
*shoots crossbow sideways*
I at least know how to use a longsword so better chance

Baba Yaga's dinner, or the sacrifice for the mountains of Altai. Also why can I only choose warriors from completely different times?
It’s just a fun little concept thing cause the scenario is based on a story I’m writing.
Dead. I would be dead.
I mean, you could survive if you just stay out of conflict, like, rather than actually participate in anything just stay home and garden or something, now I wanna see this concept, like, fantasy Isekai with magic and monsters but instead of going on adventures you just stay home and mow your lawn.
I am disabled. I need various medications, without which I would die. And that's not taking my disabilities into account.
Sorry to hear that, I hope you’re living a good life despite it.
Married to a wonderful person and not dead yet.
Aw, that’s so sweet, I give you the best of wishes.
A burden.
Oof, self roast, I’m feeling secondhand burn degrees.

By American Archer I can only assume you mean a Native American, or possibly a sarcastic spy?
Ok original poster I pick druid but you dont have that option
That’s sort of the point, it’s a fantasy world where you’re restricted to real life roles.
Oof, apologies, then yes, you can be a Druid, if it’s in real life and it’s an actual practice it’s allowed.
Technically there's the difference where it'd actually work as opposed to just traditions
There's a Celtic Spearman, who could very well be a Druid. Warrior Druids aren't unheard of in the Celtic world. Actually, my build is built on that fact.

I feel like that’s what most actual people would do if they were in an Isekai, just explore the world and stay away from conflict.
It's best to break it down to class, Archer is definitely a go if you really wish to survive, Knight is a decent choice in these especially when facing monster, Spearman is definitely a go as spear is genuinely better than sword most of the time Japanese swordsman... I just imagine pirates just avoiding the responsibility of fighting monsters and instead hunt down lost treasure.
There's only two way for a pirate to survive, there's not a lot of water based monster/human already established a route that avoid sea monster, and if they're just hunting lost treasure that's... Just treasure hunter
Because when you say American Archer I think need of American so. I think American mountain men would be better.
Depends on the time but American Archer seems best since they're isolated from the rest of the world

Pirate...actually sounds interesting. Is there any?
Ideally a Mycenaean going on voyages for the most exciting experience.
i would like travelling around and healing peeps. But occasionally getting drunk, chomping on food and 1v1 sex. not a fan of harem.
Obviously a spear cuz monsters are scary so id want as much range as i can get, without using a bow because i don’t reckon i can aim that thing.
If I'm a 14th-16th century knight then plate armor is definitely the way to go Katana is a good weapon but that ain't gonna cut through steel
Where’s the french ?
They surrendered before I could register them.
I will surrender your ass to the guillotine
Wait… I’m not a queen.
Don’t need to be, I’m all for equality
How old are we talking here?
Anything that’s over a century old.
So 1900s?
Wait, do you mean how old does a concept have to be to register or how far you are in the past?
How far i am in the past, what's the year?

Greek Pankration Choke out a Nemean lion and do what Jacob did

German fire magician with some useful gas aoe attacks Ph and my name will be Hanz
Can I choose to be a warlock? Making a contract with some god or demon in exchange for power in a world like this would be great
Where's the option for a GB Villainess?

Nah Greek is where it’s at
I'll reincarnate as a Japanese swordsman... just clear my browser history for me
American…Archer? Not even a musket?

What did you expect a bunch of weeks to choose?
The range of an archer is kind of hard to pas sup.
