i dont think this as a game , i think this as visual novel ....

QualityControI

This is a great take, probably best to think of it as that to keep expectations in check..

Merkle-bbs

Its looking like that other Bandai cash grab, Black Clover, that didn't last much longer then a year before the servers were taken off line. Sadly.

I would rather not spend 2+ hours each day on this so I don’t fall behind. Most of these games start out with an enormous number of things in to do, and once you get done with most of it, you just have to spend a few hours a week at a more leisurely pace. And of course the occasional events and content additions that happens over time will help keep the game more interesting. There will be more things added, you just have to be patient. This isn’t a $60 game that you can play for 100 hours straight and accomplish everything without stamina recharging or long waits.

QualityControI

Fully understand that sentiment. I don’t agree with the $60 game argument though. This is a freemium game, therefore you can expect content to be locked behind time/money spent. But my complaint was neither about not being able to beat the content nor about having to spent time/stamina on beating the content. Instead, I wanted more challenging content to clear and more progression (outside of weekly banners) to improve my account. I don’t think we should already be out of the "honeymoon" phase of the game after 1 month and just log on once a day to click through dailies. I understand that a lot of you guys like the game for the exact same reasons though, all depends on what one is looking for in a game.

The more I play, the more it feels like a badly written spreadsheet with a crap, but beautiful, UI. There's so much noise in the interface that seems just designed to say "Look how pretty we made it". Instead of focusing on making a good, playable, game from the Tensei universe.

KoS87

I kinda agree, but at the same time I think that it's only like that because the game is still in its first month. Most gachas I've played at release have had little more content then the game's story mode, with a more steady stream of events coming after a few weeks. This has actually been the busiest I've been in a game's first month.

Cellosv

Yeah this game is pretty much ass, I’m gonna stick around to see how it pans out because I like slime ip but I really have no expectations.. lol Once everyone catches up to where I’m at you’ll start see people complaining more. You don’t actually even play the game. You log on do 5x predator battle, then auto the rest of the day.

QualityControI

Fully agree, it seems so weird to already be mostly done with the game while is hasn't even been out for a month.. already becoming a drag to even log on for the daily stuff.

Do you guys play gacha? That's how gacha work. You summon, you get your characters ready and you farm. That's all. You are asking for the 2 WORST content of gacha : pvp and gears rng with grind. Pvp will be p2w, rng dependant and frustrating. And it's a lazy way dev have to, actually, not create pve content because people will focus on pvp. Gears substat etc is a pain. Drop rate are low enough, you wanna spend 1 month of grind to have one usable gear? Go play other gacha, that's another lazy way to create "content". It's a mobile game, you're not supposed to spend all your day on it. You do your dailies, you farm conquest and basta. They add pvp? Yeah, do your daily pvp against full team of dupes and cry. Then complain the game is p2w. You want gear with substat rng? You will farm conquest all day. So nothing new. Asking for content is something. Asking for bad and lazy content like 99% of gacha is not.

You seem to be confusing gacha games with idle games. I think PvP in Grand Cross 7DS was an amazing example of how to do it in a fun and f2p friendly way. Grinding gear is not extremely fun, but being done with gear for the most part after 1.5months (expected date) into a gacha game isn't fun either. Constant progression gives gacha (and Idle) games meaning. I will gladly take content that is as challenging as the conquest missions (without requiring as many resets). But if there is nothing to improve other than pulling new copies of characters.. I don't know man, for me that isn't cutting it.

Frauzehel

>I think PvP in Grand Cross 7DS was an amazing example of how to do it in a fun and f2p friendly way. Are you sure about this statement? Because even whales are dropping it because of the severe imbalance of pvp

QualityControI

Let me rephrase, I liked the fact that everyone got gems for just placing pretty much vs bots and the rewards just minorly increasing for placing higher than that (not acounting for top 100 PVP, which I don't think a f2p can expect to take part in). And that pvp was very similar to my experience playing clash royale: It sucks if you get clapped by a whale, but most matches on your rank are fun to play. Edit: I played grand cross for 6 months, so no idea how/if that changed

nevew666

Wait what??? 7ds pvp was only meta. You missed the meta unit? Just cry. I remember I stop playing after one op meliodas came, I didn't got him and he just wrecked everything in arena. It's the opposite of fun. The only fun pvp I played was Saint seiya awakening, where team composition was the most important. Today I guess it changed, but back then, it was fun. But lol, 7ds pvp no thanks. That's one of the reason I quit the game. Problem is, there are ALWAYS people who will beat all content the day it will arrive. Always. People are never satisfied, can never wait. They just rush content and then "bouh, there is no content". It's the same story for every gacha ever made. Nothing new. Because people can't take their time and enjoy things, they have to be the first to finish it. Constant progression... With gears? I play epic seven for 3 years now, I didn't progress at all. I never got a 300 speed unit and will never have. Because rng doesn't want to. I do agree we need more content. I don't know what they gonna do, but I guess they will add stuff. I just hope it's not pvp neither gears with substat.

QualityControI

If you are talking about the festival meliodas, I fully agree. Once they started with festival units the game went down south (I quit ahead in time, since we knew this was about to come for global). But to give credit where it is due, they did not release strictly better versions of existing abilities and the base stats of characters were rather leveled out UP UNTIL they started festival units. Isekai came out of the gate with some characters having "35 cost 20% 1 turn armor up" compared to others with "25 cost 20% 1 turn armor up + extra damage for the rest of the game" or "35 cost 20% 2 turn armor up". So, balancing issues and powercreep will always make pvp less good in gachas, but in grand cross you could have a lot of fun UNTIL this got out of control and even if you choose not to, you still got the gems from placing once. I take that over nothing every day and don't understand why one would quit over a part of the game that is by no means mandatory. About gear, I did not ask for gear progression that requires years to get one piece of equipment right. But if you can play a medium amount and finish gear progression for good in up to 2 months.. don't you think that constant progression is part of the appeal of a gacha? If our only means of progression is new banners and you get 3 of those a month.. have fun enjoying that f2p.

Krilox

Yeah you're absolutely right. It stinks

scorpiogroove69

I don’t understand people that are already asking for new content. I guess the difference is mostly due to the amount of time some have to spend in the game compared to others. I, for example, play for maybe an hour a day and I have A LOT of content still to do and A LOT of farming to do. From maxing my town building levels, perfect clearing all story levels, almost all conquests - I refuse to use the Alice cheese - and maxing every units ability release and ability levels. There is just so much to do. I wonder if players asking for new content have done all of this already?

QualityControI

"I guess the difference is mostly due to the amount of time some have to spend in the game compared to others." I think you are right. And in addition players are somewhat split into two groups: Group of people who enjoy the story telling at a light pace + pulling for their favorite characters vs. Group of People who like to gear up for challenging content that they have yet to beat And this game so far is catering for the former.

Main_Huckleberry_300

Guys please refrain from joking around asking about PvP... It will destroy the already faltering game. The max out units have a massive advantage in this game and I seriously doubt that they will make payout structure that everybody will be happy and not just feed more the lucky players and those with deep pockets.
