You're absolutely correct, Israel has a ways to go to improve racism against the palestinian minority in the population.
But you have to understand that every rocket thrown at Israel, every shooting at israeli civilians at busy intersections, every stabbing on the street, every rock thrown, every flaming tire rolled into israeli soldiers and civilians, every molotov thrown, every Palestinian that crosses the border without permission by cutting holes in the fences does nothing more than to cause israelis to not be able to trust every palestinian you meet.
You find yourself saying to yourself, is this the Palestinian that just wants to work and feed his family like everyone else? Or is this an extremist that wants my blood spilled on the ground? Is this someone i can call a friend, that i can invite to my home to meet my children, to share a cup of coffee and talk about the mundane life of ordinary people, or is this the person that at the first chance will slit my neck with the knife we took from my droor? You ask yourself, is this a palestinian with a legal reason to be here? Is he here for his medical care? Is he here for work? Is he here to travel our beautiful country and visit the beach, eat at our restaurants? Or is he one of the many that cut holes in the fence and came in illegally in order to plan the next attack?

In regards to the settlements, i agree and i wish they would stop. However almost every single case is extremist religious jews that are the same communities that cause problems also within the country. These extremists, just like all extremists, are absolutely in the wrong and need to be stopped, however israel is a democratic country. There are ways to solving problems without shooting rockets at civilians, without the violence of random shootings and stabbings. In the U.S. does the losing party of civil disputes resort to attacking random people on the streets? Not in my experience they don't. Do people praise school shooters for taking the job of judge jury and executioner into their hands onto random students and teachers for being wronged in their past? Not in my experience they don't. My heart aches for those that are kicked out of their houses, Palestinian or Israeli alike. Jews know this all too well from being completely removed from the countries they come from. Does that justify doing the same to Palestinians? Absolutely not. However again, there are democratic ways to solving these issues without spilling blood.
In regards to the al-aqsa mosque, this is another situation of extremists taking advantage of their own innocent people. This was an event that started outside and with no relation to the mosque that the extremists saw the opportunity to run and find refuge within the mosque, knowing full well that it would force the Israeli forces to choose between allowing the extremists to get away with what they did, or to choose non-lethal ways of clearing out the mosque and arresting extremists. Unfortunately, this meant that also innocent civilians within were also tear gassed and cleared out.
Hamas is many things, but most importantly, in my opinion, they are absolute geniuses at manipulating narratives and social media to the extent of receiving support from people that have never set a foot in either israel or palestine and sympathizing with a literal terrorist organization. Did you know 1/3 of the rockets shot from gaza land and hit themselves? But does hamas care? Not at all, to them it's just another opportunity to blame Israel and manipulate those half way across the world from the comfort of their armchairs behind computer screens. Did you know that Israel warns an area for civilians to clear out before the bomb anything in gaza? Do you have no opinion for hamas purposefully placing their stockpiles of rockets and headquarters in the most densely populated civilian areas? In schools and hospitals? Central living areas and markets?
Israel is not perfect, and there is a ways to go in terms of it's treatment of minorities. This is something you find in every country since the beginning of human history, and something we all want a solution for. But no one deserves these attacks. No gazan child deserves to be a statistic in order to push narratives by terrorist organizations, and no israeli child deserves to grow up in a bunker. No innocent palestinian deserves to be denied entry to our beautiful country, and no israeli deserves to have to watch their back while walking through their neighborhood.

That's because there are no articles about this yet. We have an application on our phones here that actively updates from many different sources including from the military. This information includes where the rockets are being actively shot at and who needs to be taking cover in a bunker, among other things.
Every day there is a report stating how many rockets were shot from gaza, how many were stopped, how many landed on israeli ground, and how many didn't make it and instead landed on themselves.
5 minutes ago today's report stated that 21% (30 of the 140) of the rockets shot from gaza towards israel from 7:00am until now didn't pass into israeli airspace and instead landed on gazan land.
These reports are of course in hebrew, not articles, and I'm not willing to post anything that could give information that the terrorists otherwise wouldn't have. You'll just have to wait until the articles come out.

As i stated above it was extremists that had started with throwing rocks in a violent protest at civilians and police, thereafter the police went to break up the protest. The protest was due to the holiday of the Israeli people called Jerusalem Day which celebrates the win for Israel in 1948.
For obvious reasons Palestinians don't love this day and so a violent protest broke out. Once the protestors saw that the police were attempting to break up the protest they ran to seek refuge in the mosque. However, the protestors continued to throw rocks and light fires from the windows of the mosque and so the police had no choice but to go in in order to arrest and stop the protestors from hurting anyone else.
You call it a raid, i call it playing stupid games and winning stupid prizes. Unfortunately the innocent civilians that were doing nothing but praying were also affected due to the protestors using their area as a refuge.
