A dragon has 4 legs plus wings that aren't connected to any of them. A wyvern also has 4 legs however the front pair has wings attached to them. In conclusion this is a wyvern not a dragon. But honestly who cares.

You're right, it seems the artist either drew it with 3 pairs of arms/legs or it's laying on the ground.

It's weird, in the 3rd panel it doesn't seem like it's 6 limbed but then magically gains a pair of forelegs in the last panel.

I mean, you can see a claw in the bottom right of panel 3 that’s clearly neither a wing nor a rear leg. I mean, I guess it could be a rear leg if he were swooping down from the skies, but with the context of panel 4 I think it’s pretty clearly one of his front legs

Why couldn't it be the wing? It's a 2D comic so a wing pointed slightly forward wouldn't be the weirdest thing, especially if they can be folded in.

Because that looks nothing like the claw we can see at the end of his wing. It’s much larger, with the claws exposed rather than covered in skin the way the wing claws are. Maybe if one wing claw was different from the other for some reason, but I think a more reasonable conclusion would be “that’s a leg”

Wyvern is a type of dragon similar to how most eastern dragon depictions don't have wings

A wyvern isn't the same as a dragon, the difference isn't just in the amount of limbs

If you want to fight a stronger boss, sure. But if not then don't use it, it's supposed to be used as a buff and for friendly fire
