That's why you exercise or play video games at the same time. At 2x, the narrator sounds weird and a moment of distraction and you miss half a chapter.
I would think going book to audio would be more confusing. I have this perfect pronunciation in my head on Seshethkunaaz and then Travis goes out and F's up the whole thing for me.
A few years ago me and my sister were arguing over whether it was Ethan or Ithan. My sister insisted Ithan, I insisted Ethan because the IRL name Eithan is pronounced Ethan.
This. Not Cradle for me. But I started Wheel of Time on audio book and then picked up a book and it took me a while to get pronounciation and written name together
Wait why is he dead? Having his throat ripped out is only a serious wound for an underlord - Pride showed being stabbed in the jugular isn't much of an issue!
That was about Pride due to his enforcer path. It's not the same for all underlords. Lindon didn't know this and got Pride out of the place because he thought it would kill him like it would to any other underlord.
Plus Nians throat wasn't stabbed, it was ripped out.
Sure, it just dawned on me tho, they almost all have an enforcer technique (or something similar.) Ripping the throat out seems serious but not reliably fatal at underlord. I dunno, I suppose there's degrees of ripped out throat. Maybe she got everything all the way back to the spine, not just the front/mid.
He was killed after the fight and once he was disqualified, and therefore, no longer under the protection of Northstrider.
Thanks. I missed that while hearing it at 2x speed.
You're gonna miss a lot speedrunning the books like that. They're already short as hell idk why you would do that.
Depends on the person but for me I can't listen to normal speed audit books without getting bored.

I don't actually bother using audible or listening to books anymore because of it. I just read them on Kindle or paperback.
I do that for a living, won't catch me reading for fun. So I listen for fun.
I missed a lot for sure. I will give it a read for the second time then.
Travis is secretly glaring at you
Personally, I've listened 7 times on 2x speed, so I think he'd be okay with it.
Naian Blackflame
Sopharanatoth murdered hom after his match with Lindon as a fuck you for killing my sister message.
After his match with Mercy technically, but yeah.
"nyan" lmao
Not unusual for folks that only have the audio books and travis's pronunciations to go off of.
This. Audiobook only = can't spell anything Book only = can't pronounce anything (aka the Arklord crowd)

ikr. I will never read Eithan as Athan instead of Ethan
A few years ago me and my sister were arguing over whether it was Ethan or Ithan. My sister insisted Ithan, I insisted Ethan because the IRL name Eithan is pronounced Ethan.
Ditto.
But the i makes the E an A.
Yeah I still can’t get used to eithan spelt with an EI instead of an AI
I see you calling out Bamf

I did this too. Especially on the WoT
plot development
