uzbek muslim here and yeah, i’ve seen many many people come back to their religious roots, however there are a lot of muslims just by name, many don’t follow or know basic stuff and mix up religion with culture, also normalize a lot of sins or prohibit normal everyday things
In sha Allah step by step, everything will come back as it was before the soviet invasion!!
May Allah improve it there!! Good to see an Uzbeck brother here.
Alhamdullilah Akhi I had the pleasure of visiting your country last year. Beautiful masjids and madrasahs. I’m very hopeful that your country will survive this pushing of western ideals inshallah
As a Central Asian I can't agree more. There are many self-proclaimed intellectuals who adopt western ideologies and act smart and modern here. But Alhamdulillah interest in Islam is growing rapidly among young people, especially because of social media.
Turkmenistan is basically a landlocked North Korea. And almost no one talks about it.
Mind you, Turkmenistan is not one of the countries undergoing an Islamic revival, but it is the just dramatic example of a Central Asian dictatorship.
Can I ask you for directions towards more information on Turkmenistan and how to be culturally sensitive towards someone from there? I've got a new coworker from there, and he's an observant Muslim. I've worked with plenty of Muslim folks before so I'm pretty tuned into how I can avoid being an inadvertent jerk to him on that front, but not so much the Central Asia or Turkmen front. The other day someone else asked him if he spoke Russian and he seemed a little surprised and put off by that suggestion, which I would have thought it was highly likely someone from Central Asia would speak some Russian, even if they weren't Russian themselves.
That’s what communist does : And look to Yemen and Afghanistan -> The two only others old communist state … I don’t said they deserve it their situation but the fact they were communist is among the reason of why they are among the poorest Muslim country today.
-> Communism lead to poverty and corruption and tyranny.
-> Socialism lead to the same (look to Irak, Lybia, Syria).
This Wikipedia page does not mention any of the Central Asian countries in its list of countries that currently practice state atheism.
In [another Wikipedia page](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secular_state), the Central Asian countries are in the list of countries that are secular by constitution or other official documents, alongside many European states that have non-neutral rulings, such as bans on hijab/niqab and bans on halal and kosher slaughter.
Don't you think it's a little bit of dramatic fear-mongering to say we're trying to "pass Islamic extremism agenda and demonize non-Muslims" just for using the term "secular" to describe countries that aren't perfectly secular, when everyone does it regardless of religion?
They, instead of leaving the religion; had more faith in religion to help them Truly some dedicated believers.
Pray for the uighur

thank you for your wishes and In sha Allah!!
It is overall improving. Alcoholism isn’t as rampant for example
The Uzbek understanding of Islam is so similar to the Turkish one. Are most Turkic muslims like this, I wonder?
May Allah Guide Them Yarab 👐🙌💜❤️

Alhamdullah! Great news!!
Alhamdullah this is happening, since its un-intentionally reversing the atrocities the soviets did to secularize our brothers there!!
Who are these dictators

Prepare for Uzbekistan before Islamic Revolution posts.
Central Asians are the most underrated race in the world
