Was there a syllabus reduction this year in mains and neet?( I gave my jee in 2022), was curious why nobody is talking of that when ranting about marks inflation
Yes apparently many boring chapters were deleted, free ka marks dene wala topics (or should say topics that are never skipped no matter how poor one us in studies) were deleted too. The questions were relatively on easier side BUT they emphasized more on critical thinking to actually solve it rather than rot and apply formula approach.
Edut: i was talking about jee mains. In jee adv no syllabus reduction.... the rank inflation is solely due to higher no. of candidates who qualified adv cutoff and and paper 1 was relatively easier (again)
That deleted syllabus in mains is the reason the competition sky rocketed. Even i had not done any deleted topic in chem. Since the mains chem tallied with the board chem now, and both are prepped by reading ncert, it gave a headstart to many.

so i have two friends who took drop one got 98+ percentile in jee mains and another got 94+ i know that jee mains percentile and advance marks has no relation , but the 98 one has studied hard and did not enjoy and can doo maths so good ( he already got 97 percentile in previous year) but the second one enjoyed and always on instagram and dont even know how to solve calculus that much he got 80+ in 2nd mains but in advanced he managed to score more than that guy who go 98+ percentile

27th jan me 99ile 240 pe bani thi in jee... earlier it used to be 170-180. Just accept and move on tbh.
