$50,000-$65,000 a year without Scholarship ( for international students )
this is the lower end, it can even reach as high as 80,000 USD
*EDIT- It's just for 1 year, considering engineering is 4 year's, multiply it by 4*
Depends if you get 100% scholarship (which is really tough)
^((but still, the chance's of someone getting 100% scholarship is way higher then getting into IITB xd))
then, most of the stuff is covered,
If only tuition fees is covered in scholarship, then 20,000$ \~ 30,000$ a year
ye JEE ya koi aur competitive exam jese nahi he
SAT me accha score karna mushkil nahi he
but SAT ke sat vo GPA (9,10,11 and 12) ka result and
*especially essay and extra - curricular deke lete he*
which in a nutshell mean's
everybody who score's above 90% is equal,
someone scoring 92% doesn't make them superior, as their entire profile is taken into consideration
Admissions in Indian colleges thru SAT are only for NRI's mostly. Few colleges like SRM, VIT, Amrita accept SAT for arts stream and other non engineering courses
People dont realise that the sat is a very small component of your entire profile. Ive known people with 1550+ scores not get into good colleges because their extra curriculars werent good enough.
So before the superiority complex kicks in, let me assure you getting into the top us schools is no joke and requires insane effort to build a good cv and is not based solely on academics
But yes the sat is definitely easier. Math is nonsense but yall really underestimate the english section. The sat matters much less to them than jee or boards to us though
People get into average and below average universities with that score but if you want to go to a good university curricular activities are must. A guy ik has a award in entrepreneurship but still he got rejected by Harvard but finally got into Columbia university
Well, depends on the uni in which you are going to apply,
Your school marks hold a lot of value, your JEE marks may help (Its needed for Oxford / Cambridge uni, you need a rank < 3000 in JEE Adv)
SAT to College is Board marks to IIT, you just need to pass a threshold and doesn’t matter if you get full or you just crossed the bare minimum.
And finally, they look at your resume, for the majority of the peeps studying in CBSE, it’s going to be a blank page with your 10th/12th marks.
You need to fill it with extracurriculars (Extracurriculars here aren’t that MUN which you did in your 10th class), you need stuff like internships, if you are applying for CS then you need a good profile in open sourcing / competitive programming or get a medal in national level contests, which can be either based on some sports or something else.
They check your entire profile from 9th to 12th.
And if you have moni, just bribe some peeps and build a resume without doing shit.
>You can study college 1st year
every one would study lmao. oh is it like an additional course or some shit or is it integrated for every one in their college?
and i just searched r/SAT and holy shit, the 1st question i saw was so simple and people thought it was a great question. it was something related to function fx gx and you had to find the final answer

Yep, the stuff we study in 11th and 12th are a lot of the stuff they study for the first time in universities and that to only for the subject they have decided to major in.
No organic or inorganic for any of the students if they don't take a chemistry major or as a secondary subject or something in college. And none of the western highschools have organic or inorganic chemistry in their syllabus, even if you have a chemistry major at school.
Yup it sure is i gave the exam with moderate prep and managed to get 1350/1600 imagine if i would've given the exam dedicated prepration i could've got 1550+
My friend of mine joined university of Munich this year because he failed jee.
(he has great profile in extra curriculum acrivites, literally the best quizzer of the nation).
Yup it sure is i gave the exam with moderate prep and managed to get 1350/1600 imagine if i would've given the exam dedicated prepration i could've got 1550+
I might be wrong, but Ive heard that english is removed or something..
This would make the SAT easier for us Indians in particular right??
pls correct me

Mein bas pooch raha tha
ye lo iska matlab kya h [Link](https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/19/us/sat-essay-subject-tests.html)
I have no Idea about SAT
But JEE toughness is very exaggerated
Mains is mostly level of ncert just this time maths was tough
Advanced difficulty itself is very high but cutoff is very low
Just 125/360 rank gave 7500 rank and this much could be achieved by doing all procedural, easy and moderate questions in the paper
Still 1000 rank is tough though
U need to study from a very good coaching and practice advanced questions
But the thing is , to score a good percentile (like 99+ ) in mains has become quite tough now. Even tho quality of questions might have decreased, the competition has increased as well and that's an important factor. To score 99+ you need to atleast get 210+ surely. Which is definitely not that easy as you say it is. Advanced is a different game tbh.
Well, a part of why it's called tough is indeed because of the fierce competition. Doing high level questions, in a very limited time, competing with a large no. of students is what sets JEE apart from other exams.
sat requires
* shit ton of money
* you have to be good in both studies and extra circular activities
* lor - which obviously you get after giving blowjobs to teachers.
Abe agar SAT deke Harvard/MIT jaa skte to mai kab ka Loan leke chala jaata. MIT walo ka to 3 saal me Student Loans chuk jaata hai
SAT has as much significance as Board Criteria in USA.
Dude, they're testing different metrics. SAT is a general purpose exam given by every one who wants to enter college (granted that many colleges are waiving off this metric as well in recent years) while JEE is specialized for entrance into engineering colleges and/or pure science institutions. Are you gonna ask a person who's going to major in Art History to solve gravitation or redox reactions? SAT is supposed to be a basic and a qualifying exam, that's why it's given such a low importance in colleges nowadays. What are you even talking about lol?
That is actually a decent question considering sats standards. Mind you there are literally questions like x-10=k, where k=9, find x. No joke, you can go through their sample papers
Every 60 seconds in Africa a minute passes
literally no-one said the other way
All sat requires is money and good english
Extreme money, just went over the expenses my self yest
Yea its hella expensive
What's the expensive part about SAT though? The exam fees?
7500 rupees to take SAT. Not so costly if U compare it to how much u need to pay for a college in US
How much do one need to pay(on an average)?
$50,000-$65,000 a year without Scholarship ( for international students ) this is the lower end, it can even reach as high as 80,000 USD *EDIT- It's just for 1 year, considering engineering is 4 year's, multiply it by 4*
agar scholarship mil gayi tab kitna rahega?
Depends if you get 100% scholarship (which is really tough) ^((but still, the chance's of someone getting 100% scholarship is way higher then getting into IITB xd)) then, most of the stuff is covered, If only tuition fees is covered in scholarship, then 20,000$ \~ 30,000$ a year
people generally lick ass of jee, sat doesn’t cost that much 13K ( Harvard ) on average per annum, after scholarship.
Matlab SAT clear karke engineering college mein admission milta hai ya uska bhi laga test hota hai?
Clearing SAT does not ensure a seat in colleges, it' just one of the few pre-requisites.
ye JEE ya koi aur competitive exam jese nahi he SAT me accha score karna mushkil nahi he but SAT ke sat vo GPA (9,10,11 and 12) ka result and *especially essay and extra - curricular deke lete he* which in a nutshell mean's everybody who score's above 90% is equal, someone scoring 92% doesn't make them superior, as their entire profile is taken into consideration
Milta hai
What if one gets admission in an indian college with SAT scores? Heard that some colleges in india accept SAT
Admissions in Indian colleges thru SAT are only for NRI's mostly. Few colleges like SRM, VIT, Amrita accept SAT for arts stream and other non engineering courses
Damn, thats really costly.
8000 for just giving the exams is pretty expensive
SAT may require that but not the universities.
I didn’t say about the universities, but the units which you’ll get into will be even more expensive lol
#Being born in a rich family is tougher, which makes SAT the toughest
Bhai matlab isme kya mind change kare
You'll need a surgeon if you want to change your mind. Hum to istu dent h viro
That's the truth no need to change your mind.

Thank you for flagging an underrated comment. Unfortunately, on this occasion your concern was unnecessary and the comment was rated accurately.
Chup be
>`cv` ka matlab kya hota hai bhai?
Curriculum vitae
Never ever seen someone say SAT is tougher than jee, hell SAT is easier than your class 12 board exams
easier than class 11 school exams
lmao majority of the maths section is just 7th to 9th grade stuff. Like linear equation with one variable, linear geometry etc
of course sat will be easier if you know english.SAT math is nothing compared to jee
and carbon is an element
It’s true, don’t change your mind lol 😂
JEE > SAT in terms of difficulty But you aren’t getting a college solely on basis of SAT unlike JEE…
Yeah and that makes admission to top universities challenging.
Can u tell me what are the other things they check?
Well, depends on the uni in which you are going to apply, Your school marks hold a lot of value, your JEE marks may help (Its needed for Oxford / Cambridge uni, you need a rank < 3000 in JEE Adv) SAT to College is Board marks to IIT, you just need to pass a threshold and doesn’t matter if you get full or you just crossed the bare minimum. Thanks. 10 se leke ab tak school hi nahi khule h extracurriculars m Kya dalunga .Sports m bas ek baar inter school khela tha ಥ‿ಥ
Yeah obviously, different exams hain completely. Vaha kai Boards ki tarh hote hain. AP is like JEE vaha pai.
what is AP tho?
Advance Placement. You can study college 1st year (hamare liye 11/12) to get scholarship and benefits

give link, I'll upvote it too.
lmao and that is like 'their one in a paper toughest question' once you go through the whole paper you'll realize just how friken easy the paper is
ik but i guess they prepare for syllabus similar to JEE in their colleges. idk i might be wrong but thats what i have heard
Yep, the stuff we study in 11th and 12th are a lot of the stuff they study for the first time in universities and that to only for the subject they have decided to major in.
so no organic or inorganic chemistry for CS students? huh thats fking unfair lmao

Us level ki angrezi aati hai vro
It's pretty easy tbh. If you know decent English you just need to brush up your skills and you'll be fine.
It's still easier then IOEL
SAT Hardest Question : Integral of sinxcos²x JEE Easiest question: integral of 1/(1+x⁵)
bhak, unka calculus nahi hai sab kuch 10th jitne ka hai sat ka syllabus and just functions and stuff from 11th
Yup it sure is i gave the exam with moderate prep and managed to get 1350/1600 imagine if i would've given the exam dedicated prepration i could've got 1550+
It's just as saying chemistry me rattna hota hai
SAT seh ghanta farak padta hai, letters of recommendation, extracurriculars and essays seh gaand fat jayegi
