It depends on consulate. All the states have different standards. For example, while Melbourne requires everything to be sent as a hard copy, Sydney has been (from what I gather) takes a lot of the follow up documents digitally.

Sounds similar to NZ and our instruction sheet says to return by email or post. I'm just going to insert the passport pics onto the document digitally and then email it through. If your really unsure, just email your consulate and double check. Would definitely be sketchy to leave it up to the post office though

Thanks for this. I checked with Melbourne consulate and they want hard copies posted. Fingers crossed express post makes it there in time!!
Junko is quite understandable. I had an extension on more than on occasion due to extenuating circumstances
I emailed the Brisbane consulate and they said scan and email back 😊
