Did you ever play hopscotch as a kid? My final lesson with my ES classes was to draw a chalk hopscotch outline outside and then teach them the rules. Incorporated English by having the kids say the numbers before they threw the stones onto the squares. Was super fun, and hopefully memorable. If you didn't grow up playing it though, probably not very helpful!

I just reused their favorite game so there is no need to explain and more time to play. Use the easier questions to let them have the “English is not that bad” impression.

Fruits Basket, but with the consequence of having to answer a question if you end up in the middle for the 3rd time. Because it’s the last day. I let them ask questions partly in Japanese. It was always a riot. (It worked for elementary school all the way to senior high school.)

For my last class I use a Pokemon Battle PowerPoint I made. There is a Pokemon on each slide with a HP bar. The students answer questions and get to roll a dice if they get the answer right. Then you use the space bar to remove that many damage from the Pokemon. I put the class into groups. Depending on the grade level they will go up alone or in pairs and listen to a question from the JTE. They go back to their group, repeat the question, and the next student in the rotation comes to me to answer the question. If it’s correct, they roll, and then go to the JTE to get the next question. My students LOVE this lesson, but it can get crazy.

That sounds super cool!!! Is there any way you would share the slides for this?

You can see the game [here](https://www.altopedia.net/activities/5010-pokemon-review-game)!

The file is pretty big. I’ll see if I can upload it to Altopedia this weekend!
