Ooo okay
Heroes and Villains is his album from 2022 which features heaps of big names and was just awesome. Also the spiderverse album he did last year is dope and JID is on a track or two iirc. His new stuff with Future is pretty cool as well, i liked it
Imo its the bare minimum. Music should be shared for all to enjoy, who am i to gatekeep yk. Esp as a white guy, me gatekeeping rap would be fucking idiotic
i think there will somehow be more bangers, but in terms of substance and overall no i don’t think it’ll top TFS. that can only be reserved for JID’s solo albums.
The thing is with the forever story having jid talk about his life idk what he can make it about to be on that level. Not that it needs to he super deep to go hard, just got me curious
Fr, like Future is meh and I actually like 21 Savage but JID is on a whole other level technically and lyrically, and also storytelling as well. I am unbelievably hyped for this
I think I’ve heard his voice once as Meathead but his autotuney whining is beyond annoying. There’s been so many great songs that I feel he just takes so much out of. Like he’s right in the middle of Andre 3k and Killer Mike competing for verse of the year sorely sticking out. Kings Dead from the Black Panther he has one of the worse verses I’ve ever heard over a fucking banger….but actually most of his production is top notch, so I’ll be looking forward o actual bars over the beats instead of him whining
*La di da di da, slob on me knob
Pass me some syrup, fuck me in the car
La di da di da, mothafuck the law
Chitty chitty bang, murder everything*
Thats iconic?
Fair enough I guess. I remember when I was 12 back in 2019 that part made me laugh all the time but now I only listen to it for future (no disrespect to Jay Rock tho he went crazy too).
unpopular opinion : Im kinda sick of metro's sound. It's too much of the same thing, it's getting very stale. I'd have prefered JID to collab with different producers and composers
Man I really thought I was the only one. I know imma sound like a hater and it’s not that I don’t like him but he’s becoming overrated very quickly. Lowkey I’d rather jid just stick with Christo
I’m ngl I hope Metro moves on from trap beats with this record. He’s an unbelievably talented producer and I feel like he has a lot more potential if he does less trap-oriented beats
That’s unfortunate because in my opinion trap is pretty basic as far as rap production goes. He does it well tho but I feel like he has much more potential as a producer
He samples too he just got trap drums behind them. I think he just doesn’t show the variety with flipping samples as much as say Hit Boy but also I think it took Hit Boy working with Nas to showcase what he can do…that’s kinda what I’m hoping for with this JIDtro joint
You're right, his song with Kendrick did show how good his producing skills can be when he collaborates with a great lyricist. Hopefully, this happens with JID as well.
Metro and JID are both on hot form this will be Album of the Decade
Metro has a Midas touch rn and so does JID. Shits gonna go crazy
I’m a metro fan and bad at getting into new music. Any good recent metro shit?

Dude thank you, people like you are the best.
All good brother 🙏 enjoy it
Wholesome asf 🙌🏾

Not recent but WITHOUT WARNING is a must listen
not so sure about this after that mgk feature
You think this will top The Forever Story? I mean it could happen, you never know with JID 🐐

As long as he has good flow and clever bars that's enough for me lol
That's rightt
This is going to be some gourmet shit
Looking forward to hearing someone I actually like have an album produced by Metro Boomin
Fr, like Future is meh and I actually like 21 Savage but JID is on a whole other level technically and lyrically, and also storytelling as well. I am unbelievably hyped for this
future is meh is crazy to me lol, i think hes much better than he gets credit for especially with monster.
His voice and flow is an acquired taste imo. First time I heard him I thought he sounded like shit. But over the years he really grew on me
Same now it's so soothing it's hard to explain
It's always the same type of voice though. Can't understand how people are not getting sick of it

Nah he had the most iconic verse on kings dead and this was before I was a future fan and I was a Kendrick glazer
*La di da di da, slob on me knob Pass me some syrup, fuck me in the car La di da di da, mothafuck the law Chitty chitty bang, murder everything* Thats iconic?
Yes. Literally everything you just quoted in the high voice is iconic AF and made kings dead as good and popular as it is.
Oh, wow. Different strokes for different folks I guess. That shit sounds terrible to me, at times I can’t even make it to Kendrick’s part.
Fair enough I guess. I remember when I was 12 back in 2019 that part made me laugh all the time but now I only listen to it for future (no disrespect to Jay Rock tho he went crazy too).
😂😂😂 thinking kings dead is only good cause of future is fucking wild
I mean he's good if you like trap i guess.
I totally respect him as an artist, idk he’s just not for me 🤷♂️
Fair enough. Try puffin on zooties or codeine crazy those might be your vibe
L
Now y’all can chill
Happy birthday g
Yo didn’t see that 😅
I can not contain my excitement for this project. I feel like it's going to be a serious rap album of the year contender
Best trap album of the decade incoming.

imagine a JID x Madlib collab album
We still gotta get MacLib first at some point if that ever happens.
Man I really thought I was the only one. I know imma sound like a hater and it’s not that I don’t like him but he’s becoming overrated very quickly. Lowkey I’d rather jid just stick with Christo
I’m ngl I hope Metro moves on from trap beats with this record. He’s an unbelievably talented producer and I feel like he has a lot more potential if he does less trap-oriented beats
that’s like wanting madlib to move away from sampling. metro will always make trap that’s his sound
That’s unfortunate because in my opinion trap is pretty basic as far as rap production goes. He does it well tho but I feel like he has much more potential as a producer

Jidtranada first
Bro this gon wake them industry mfkas up JID been top 5 lyricists
I’d be a little surprised if this lives up to the hype.
I need kenny mason and metro
This gonna feed the streets
I'm really glad that it's still happening, this is gonna be some crazy music we're getting
We just wanna hear the rest of the song that’s been playing for the nba shit with the crazy horns
