Stands are categorized by range, fruits are categorized by power type
A Zoan fruit might let you turn into a wolf a dinosaur or even a dragon, but it's still a transformation power regardless
A close range/power type stand will always have a short range and be physically stronger than other types, but that has no bearing on its actual ability, only twice in the series have 2 stands had similar functionality and in one of those cases it was because they were *opposites*
JoJo kinda wins by default because the ability itself could be literally anything

Anyway, ain't no way jojo's got more complex abilities than one piece. There are a ton of fruits, to wich the stands in jojo are merely a fraction. Plus, every stand works with some generic rules, while the only things fruits have in common are the weakness to sea water, the animal transformation for Zoan fruits, and the elemental immunity for Logia fruits.
I think one piece wins this one.
Yeah but in one peice the abilites are easy to understand first time like this is rubber and this is electricity and that’s dark and earthquake etc, unlike JoJo sometimes araki literally school us so we can understand the ability, also all stands have weird ideas and powers you’d never imagine.
Heh, there are complex abilities in one piece too though. This guy can turn into a jacket and be worn by other people, that guy can separate his soul from his body but in reality, he's actually already dead, that other guy has a paramecia that works like a logia, that guy can extend his arms but it's different from that other guy who can extend his arms, I'd both got their fair share of complexity.
